“Absolutely first class attention to detail and an incredible overall night. The cocktails were unique and incredibly well crafted, paired with incredible service and friendly staff. The maitre de had incredible recommendations and knew the menu inside and out. For appetizers the capelleti, souffle and tartare were all incredible and I would highly recommend all of them. The fried pork chop was incredibly juicy and crispy at the same time and was an amazing main course. The halibut was cooked perfectly and served with an incredible jus and puree. Could not recommend this restaurant enough for a special occasion or celebration.“

“Bistro Vida offered exactly the French Bistro experience we were looking for: Traditional items like the onion soup and Steak Frites were prepared as ordered (and as expected). Service was prompt and polite, without being overbearing. Prices were quite reasonable for the Bay Area. Parking was readily available. (We had lunch on a Saturday.)“

“Visited on a Saturday evening, without a reservation and it was understandably busy. We couldn't be seated for dinner so we opted for the bar but it was full (I know why!) So we walked around a bit had dinner elsewhere and returned about 1 hour later. Though it seemed to get busier, two seats at the bar freed up and we jumped in. It was totally worth the wait. The drinks were great! You can taste the craftsmanship in every drink. I'd definitely return, and this time with a dinner reservation. As a bonus, there was a live DJ and he was playing some good Spanish jams! (I was pleasantly surprised!). Can't wait to come back for another date night here.“

“I ordinarily don't leave reviews. But I saw the one on Valentine's day. I was there that night too. I sat near the person leaving the review. I know the person. (not well). I cannot believe they left this unfair review. Every single thing about the night was great. Food...great. Atmosphere...great. Service...spot on. Some people no matter what you cannot make happy. This restaurant is probably the best one to take your loved one. We liked it so much we went again on 2/24. Because we wanted to try some other food. Yes it is expensive. But it is worth it.“

“The ambience is one of the greatest reasons why we keep returning. We missed Cameron's great service this time, but the young lady who helped us was great. Food , as always, was top notch. Only slight negative was there were more than one beverage choices not available, but listed on the menu.“

“The food was incredible. I wanted to order almost everything on the menu. So will have to come back at least couple more times to try everything to look good and we couldn’t order in one night. Our old fashion cocktail and blackberry Mojito were perfect. And I can’t say enough about considerate, professional service.“

“I love the vibes of this quaint, very French cafe - it just feels so authentic. Service is quick despite being fairly busy and the wide menu means you can always get something that you're craving. The food itself is pretty good but not particularly outstanding - for example, the croque madame sort of just fell apart from the softness of the bread and the wetness of the bechamel. However, the pastries look good and seem affordable - they're next on my list to try when I return!“

“My daughter and I just dined at Chez TJ for the first time. We had heard such good things about Chef Stan's food and we were excited to try it. It was spectacular! What a fabulous evening we had. The ambiance was lovely, the staff was friendly and professional, and the food was the star. Each course was a combination of flavors and textures that were both beautiful and delicious. Only to be perfectly complemented by the wine pairing suggested by Ted, the excellent Sommelier. And those desserts. Wow! What a finish to an incredible meal. We ended our evening with a tour of the garden which looks lovely. We can't wait to come back in the summer months to enjoy that as well. Thank you Chez TJ for a wonderful experience!“

“LOVE LOVE LOVE this authentic French Patisserie + Bakery. My husband is French and we are both very pickup with bread. We had not found any bakeries that can make close to what we had in France in Bay Area until we discovered Maison Alysee. We were surprised how authentic the bakery goods are. You can tell the owner only selects high quality organic ingredients and not trying to save cost by getting volume pack milk, juice or flour from Costco. The price is 3.5x than France, but when you compare to other food we have at Bay Area. Thai dishes are 10x more than Thailand, Bubble tea are 5x more than Taiwan, houses are 100x more than most places in US, the list goes on. I don't mind paying more for higher quality and delicious food Highly recommend this place for both their patisserie and bakery goods, much more authentic than Alexander across the street. Their fresh baguette, pain raisin and almond croissant have become our regular favorite. Fresh baguettes comes out 3 times a day (7am, 11am, 2:30pm). And their patisserie are to drool for!“
“Fantastic food truck with a unique mix of Mexican and French dishes. The chicken tacos were amazing - fresh and flavorful. The beignets were also delicious - nice and airy. The chef has experience cooking at a French restaurant, and that shows in the quality of the French items.“

“I don’t know why this restaurant doesn’t have a line outside the door! The food is always delicious and fresh. The menu is small but PERFECT. They change things up slightly seasonally and I’ve never eaten anything there that wasn’t 10/10.“

“This is a cute little restaurant serving authentic French food that was superb! It was safe, as they are only allowed 10 tables indoors right now. Because no one knows they’ve opened for indoor dining, it was quiet. They were so kind, it was delicious and I can’t believe we waited ten years to go back!“

“It had been over 20 YEARS since I came to La Fondue, but my sisters were coming for a weekend and I decided we needed to go here. My partner doesn't eat cheese, so I cannot come with him, so this was going to be perfect. Spoiler alert - it was PERFECT! The interior has changed a ton in the past 20 years, but it still has great atmosphere, I love that they keep it dark and intimate. Our server was FANTASTIC. She made solid recommendations, shared her knowledge and advice as we were debating on what to get. We are all not huge eaters, so we weren't sure we needed all the courses. So, we opted for salad, cheese fondue and chocolate fondue. We skipped the meat portion completely. We were impressed that the wine list was affordable - probably because the food is on the pricy side. After our salads, which were really good, we had the 4 cheese fondue, which we practically licked the bowl clean. OMG - it was heavenly. This was based on our servers recommendation, and she was spot on right that it was fantastic. We then had the dark chocolate fondue and then we died and went to heaven. The end :)“

“The Hostess was extremely helpful in making an accommodation since we ended up with fewer in our party and were initially seated at an extra-large table. Even though the restaurant was busy, they were able to move us to a more appropriately sized table. The service by Escardo was fantastic. The food was provided in a timely fashion, and all the food served was properly prepared and was delicious. We have eaten at the Left Bank in Menlo Park many times and the consistency in service and food cooked has been always on the mark. I absolutely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for positive restaurant experience.“

“My go-to for breakfast and cakes. Love the pain au chocolat here. It never fail! The cakes are really good too. The only place I go for simple breakfast and cake in Palo Alto. The galette des rois is amazing during the January month. Staffs were always friendly during all the times I had been there. Weekend mornings are usually crowded.“

“I would give this 4.5*Food was very good for brunch. I should've gotten dressing on the side for the salad as it was overdressed.Crab cake Benedict was really good. It's also a bit pricey for value even in Los Altos. They accommodated us on the patio with two dogs and we're great about it.“
