“First time trying dim sum around this area and it did not disappoint. Came here on a Monday afternoon and there was no wait. The waitress seated us right way. The food came out quickly and was piping hot so you know it's fresh out of the kitchen. The food and drinks were served with paper plates but don't let that fool you because the food was delicious. I'm a big fan of the chicken feet, it might be scary to others by the looks of it but it's very flavorful. The baked BBQ Pork bun with puff pastry was my favorite as well, the sweetness of the bbq pork and the puff pastry is a sweet and savory combination that you must order. The Scallops Pork Shrimp Siu Mai was something I never tried before. Scallops in a siu mai? I never had it before but after tasting this combo, I've became a fan. The Sticky Rice Seafood Shrimp Ball was an unique item that was filled with shrimp, and sticky rice with a bouncy texture that I never thought that I would like but ended up enjoying. I also tried the egg tarts, rice noodles with shrimp, green leek dumplings, sesame ball with red bean, deep fried dumpling and baked BBQ bun all were solid and a staple at dim sum places. There was plenty of parking in the underground parking lot. Service was face and friendly. I would definitely be returning again for dim sum.“
“This is a nice and simple no frills place, you go in, you point to what you want and they package it for you to go. No sit down area. I didn’t see a menu explaining any of the dishes, so I was a little confused on what to do when I initially arrived. Please be prepared to order when it’s your turn, otherwise it might be a little intimidatingThe food though, so good and good price for dim sum with great flavors“
“The size of everything is double the size of normal dim sum. Their portion size is crazy be careful how much you order! Food is made to order! Comes out piping hot!! The food is 100% authentic. So delicious HUGE! Great jasmine tea. Funny and friendly staff. Clean inside. We had sooo much left overs. Plenty of seating. AC. I will definitely come back again. Again. And again.“
“Small mom-and-pop type of chinese restaurant. Cantonese/HongKong style cuisine at reasonable prices. Old school vibes. Parking meters are along the street. I’ve dined in and ordered take out. They also do custom large orders for take out.Parking: dozens of parking spots along the street“
“I've been coming here since 2018, and I come here at least once every month. For me, it's the only restaurant I visit consistently! As I get bored with most places I eat at. The food is great, but be warned, bring a buddy bc they serve you feast style. You can't just get one side. You gotta get a minimum of 3 sides, and so bring a person with you to enjoy it fully! Nice and quiet, and has an old-school feel without all the drab. I really live eating here! The dumplings are great! I recommend uuhhh any of them!“
“Full House Seafood Restaurant is the Best Authentic Chinese Treasure in CHINATOWN The Quality is Always Fresh , Flavor is ALWAYS Off tha Hook, , SUPERB!!! & The Quantity is generously Enough to go aroundLOVE this Place!..i also Love the lazy Susan's they have on the tables for Easny access Everyone is Always so Attentive & Accommodating ME & My Family Always come here for Birthdays or Any other Special Occasion! I Definitely Recommend this Place next time you Are in ChinatownYou Wont Regret it!“
“Lately the service is standoffish and minimal. The food quality is going downhill as well. I recently bought a chicken dish with vegetables, and the chicken tasted more like fish than chicken. It was edible, but not very enjoyable. Diverse and tasty food!“
“Ordered lunch special the Zi ran lamb and baby bok choy with mushrooms. The Paradise desire and salt n pepper fish from regular menu. All the dishes tasted very good.forgot to take photos b4 eating. Excellent service A very cozy spot with 8-10 tables I guess. Clean restroom with adequate supplies. Want to try the Peking duck and other dishes next time around.“
“We enjoyed the filet of fish in bean sauce, lychee shrimp, and beef with broccoli. The streamed chicken needed more flavor, was somewhat dry, and had the challenge of having to eat around bones. However, the other dishes made the meal worthwhile.Parking: Parking lot across the street from restaurant.“
“Been eating at mandarette for decades... if your mother was Chinese this is what she would serve her family... it’s just spectacular delicious food... I live in nyc where there is a Chinese rest on every block and still none of them compare to mandarette!“
“Love, love, love this place! Pro tip - park in the back rather than on Crenshaw Blvd, mainly because there are more spots there. This is the Chinese food that I'm most used to and it is a comfort food. The salad was great and the fried chicken even better. I always get take out since it looks like there is minimal seating in the restaurant, but that's okay. The ladies working there always seem happy and aim to please. Great place!“
“My husband and I have been coming here for years now. We love their food. We especially love their wonton soup, spicy eggplant and house fried rice. The owner is great. He's very friendly and always checks on us to make sure we're happy at every visit. We will not stop coming here. Happy Chinese new year.“
“Still has a typical chinese vibes, covered clothed tables and chairs, private dining area, fish tank at the entrance. Came in-between lunch and dinner time and there was no one dining in person, of course we came at not a typical time for dim sum (if anything it is late, so no carts) - most were to go orders. Food was good for being at the Westside. It definitly serves to satisfy dim sum cravings. Everyone was tentative and friendly. Hope this place continues to excel. With valet, $3 parking at this time.“
“We love coming here for dim sum for years. Now, with new ownership and the addition of soup dumplings, it becomes a go-to place in LA. San Gabriel may still have the best dim sum, but CBS is a closer drive with a good choice of freshly made dim sum.“
“Mama Lu's Dumpling House is a fantastic option for anyone seeking a delicious and authentic Sichuan dining experience. The extensive dumpling selection, flavorful dishes, and focus on quality ingredients make it a hidden gem in Chinatown. The restaurant is small and casual, with basic décor and seating so the focus here is on the food, not the ambiance. Also be prepared for a cash-only policy. There's an ATM nearby, but it's best to come prepared to avoid any surprises. and a simple, no-frills atmosphere.“
“Only have had Takeout from this place but I can say it's definitely solid for the price. If you order the lunch special it's enough for 2 people. It will come out to around 15 bucks so if you split it with someone it's about 7 dollars per plate since it comes with 2 portion sizes. Not the greatest, HOWEVER the bang for the buck and quality makes it more than worth it!“
“Originally from NYC and I have to admit, it’s the closest to NYC Chinese I’ve tasted out in LA so far. The lunch special is definitely a great deal. It gives just the right amounts of extras that compliment your meal. Definitely coming back for more.“
“I truly enjoy that this establishment is still going strong over the years. Ordered takeout here and was impressed by the large portions. My only complaint is that they go a little too heavy on the sugar / corn syrup. Chinese style eggplant with garlic shouldn’t be that sweet! The beef chow fun and fried shrimps were lovely.Otherwise though loved it here and order here regularly :)“
“The place it's beautiful on the back has a little place whit plant an tarp so can enjoy outdoor whit a heating system if feel cold and the ambient it's nice for Saturday dinner and the food we'll it's Japanese food it's delicious enjoy“
