WOW !!! I’ve driven passed this place a lot and always wanted to try. And one word; WOW! I ordered off postmates today and decided on marathon as I had a complicated order, and no other restaurant could fulfill it. Dude from the restaurant called me & went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect!!! Such a sweet soul. The food was INSANE! I heard about Marathon Restaurant from the blog of famous food critic, Paul Weinstein. Paul said that this was the best Ethiopian restaurant in LA so I knew I had to check this place out. I took the first flight from Denmark to LA in the morning. After a grueling 17 hour flight, I finally landed at LAX and took an Uber to Marathon. I had the tsome firfir. It should be called Kar. Kar is Ethiopian word for heart burn.Food was delicious. However, it’s too oily. Hope the restaurant finds another way to flavor food.
