“It’s an amazing over all experience. Great to take a group of friends to share the experience with and the food share style is fun . The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food is amazing . The atmosphere is a cool chill vibe that is welcoming and it matches its cool aesthetics“
“The staff are so nice and I loved the falafel, I wouldn't call this real mediterranean food if that's what you're looking for. The meat and falafel are good but the sides and overall tastes are off, not unpleasant but definitely a lack in favor.“
“a must visit if you're ever in hollywood!!! second time visiting this place and so glad i came back! the food is not only delicious but the service is amazing as well. i didn't catch his name but im assuming he was the owner gave us a whole bag of their pita bread which i loved dipping with my baba ghanoush :) portion sizes are great and food is amazing!! will definitely be returning again. my personal fav is the chicken schawarma plate!“
“I was finally able to check off Kismet after months of passing by it after work. The food was delectable and distinctive, and the service was great. The tahdig/persian crispy rice and the roasted maitake mushrooms were our favorites of the night. My boyfriend and I thought that some dishes could tone down on the acidity (like the carrot side dish). Overall, it was a solid dinner, and we would certainly be back to try the other offerings and the dessert menu.“
“Had a fantastic dining experience at "Bowery Bungalow"! The food was exceptional, with a diverse menu and delicious flavors. The service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was inviting. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience.“
“Incredible food and service. Our waiters name was Christian; he was personable, kind, and hospitable. The food was mouthwatering and had such unique flavors. HUGE portions and definitely comfort food as they state. Will definitely be returning to check out the new menu each month.“
“After a session at the gym, I was fairly hungry and a protein shake wasn't going to do it. So decided to look up a few places and while driving, I saw this at the corner and this place had been on my bookmarks for a while and decided to give this a go instead. Since it's downtown and midday parking is horrendous, but since they're located near an alley, homegirl parked on the red and came in to do a to go order. Walked up to a kiosk and ordered 2 chicken shawarma, one with hummus and the other with mixed greens. ( Summer is coming around the corner, so gotta make sure we're staying within the macros.) I really did enjoy my plate, the wrap was packed with protein which I enjoyed. Usually a lot of places are skimpy with their protein portions, but the chicken was tender and full of flavor. It was also very refreshing as there was tabuleh and pickles. I like the little banana peppers addition to the salad, I just ate them with the shawarma instead. The hot sauce is creamy, pretty mild, but got the job done. PS Would you guys make a halal hot sauce? Just asking because some people like me would like our insides to burn. Lol. Would be coming back just to try their plate .“
“Very impressed with Javan! Service was so helpful and friendly, especially our server Victor. The food was outstanding and so fresh. The combination of flavors in the Alex salad was absolutely outstanding. Our vegetarian Koobideh was delicious. The hummus and babaganoush were perfect. Thank you - we will be back!“
“Fave spot in LA and order here at least 2-3x a week. Best, most creamiest hummus I’ve had in my life. Rice is cooked to perfection every time. Both their salads are delicious and refreshing, Tabouleh Oaxaca Salad is a must try. Taco plate with chicken and cauliflower is my go-to. Everything is fresh and packed with flavor. Prices are affordable/reasonable and portions are perfect. Owners are super friendly and you can tell they put a lot of care and passion into their food.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian friendly.Parking: Has its own parking lot. About 7 spaces.“
“This is a great lil joint hiding away in a not often traveled part of DTLA. It’s a small and cozy spot but the food they cook up is delicious and very good portion sizes. Nothing is crazy overpriced and the flavors of everything are spot on. We got the beef and chicken lule combo and lamb chop combo and loved it all. The char and flavor of the chops and lule was amazing. Plus the rice that comes with it was cooked perfect and I love that it comes with a sumac seasoning to add. Would definitely go back and recommend“
“Tried their falafel a chicken kebab plates. Loved every bite especially the falafel of course, and the tahini covered lettuce and tomato. I ordered the plate but ended up making my own little wraps anyway as it comes with pita bread. The owners are very friendly and most of the people coming in were obviously regulars and I loved that! Will return soon!“
“Carousel has been there for So many years, they have the absolute best Mediterranean food you can get anywhere. Highly recommended. And I love that they have vegetarian options lots of vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: They have tons of vegetarian options. I ordered one of their soups and their combo veggie platter phenomenal I could barely finish half of it. A great buy for your buck.“
“Best restaurant. I recently dined at Shamshiri Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was elegant, with beautiful decor and soft lighting that created a cozy atmosphere. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff who were attentive to our needs. The food was the highlight of the evening, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the kebabs, which were cooked to perfection. While the prices were on the higher side, the quality of the food and service made it well worth it. I highly recommend Shamshiri Restaurant for a delightful dining experience."Remember to be honest and specific in your review to help others make informed decisions about dining at Shamshiri Restaurant.lookimg forward to come back again soon❤️“
“This is certainly a place in the center of the business district that is always worth your time and money. Beyond the nice restaurant vibe and mouth watering fusion of dishes, after having your meal, there is a nice rooftop bar to help amplify your day/evening!“
“It’s hard to find good food in dtla and a lot of places are overrated, had passed by on my way to work and the aroma got my attention. Once I finally tried their cuisine, my mouth was exploding with so many exquisite flavors. 10/10 highly recommend.“
“We live just down the street from here and it’s one of our favorite places to pick up dinner. We often joke that we could blindly point at anything on the menu to order and would be happy with it. Quality is amazing and pricing is more than fair for the amount of food you get. Highly recommend this place to anyone!!!“
“The food is delicious. My order is the Kefta plate & Love the style of pita. I assume this is a family owned business because the people who take your order treat you like an old friend or a family member in the best way. They show their customers so much love. & I walk out feeling like these are good people, doing all they can for others. I totally recommend & will be back for more Kefta.“
“This spot is probably one of the best Mediterranean food restaurants I’ve been to.I ordered the salmon with extra salad, no pita, no bread and two skewers of chicken koobideh. The salmon was very tender and flavorful. The ground chicken kabobs were also very delicious and the salad with their house salad dressing was very tangy and matched well with the meats. Great customer service, two TV’s and a great spot overall.I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.“
“I’ve been coming to Mizlala for a few years, and although the food and atmosphere are stellar, the front of staff are often not friendly (cold in fact e.g. no smiles, no warmth, and it feels very transactional) and I haven’t felt welcomed the last few times I’ve come. I write this, not to disparage, but rather hoping that management sees this and realizes that the how cliental are welcomed affects the experience.“
“Been here several times now and felt compelled to leave a rating - Pretty cheap. Their menu has a large selection to choose from. The chicken bowl, my go-to, will run you ~$11 (at the time of this review) and is filled generously to the brim. The two workers I've interacted with were also very accomodating. Food is delicious relative to its price. I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone searching for an affordable, quick lunch.“
“So good!! Everything there is so fresh, and the falafels are perfect. I love love love the sauce. The owner is really kind and has standards for the quality of his food. We ordered avocado with our pita, and the one he cut into wasn't perfect so he insisted on finding one that was. They do the chips on top and omg have I missed those. If you grew up in LA, you may have frequented the Falafel King and miss it as much as I have. Well, Falafel Queen is your answer. Cant wait to go back.“
“My Favorite L.A. restaurant by all means. I need to feel the love one puts into their food. And this is the place I feel it the most. Delish, home-style, served with a smile in a kind, friendly way. The one place that I walk into and feels like home. Thank you for you guys“
“I love this place. They have the best falafel I've ever had. The hummus and flatbread are so delicious. And the staff is always super friendly. I can't recommend this place enough. It's outstanding.Vegetarian options: Falafel, hummus, pita, Jerusalem salad, pickled veggies, harira soup.Dietary restrictions: Great options if you're eating a Mediterranean diet.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.“
“Had chicken shawarma with falafel. 4/5Also had their chai, which tasted like dipped tea with milk. 3/5Overall an ok experience. We got lucky with the street parking as we got the spot right in front of the restaurant ,otherwise might have to look for other parking spots in busier time.“
“Great Iranian eatery. Very cozy, cute, and comfortable space. Booths have the name of the islands in the Persian gulf, in keeping with the restaurant theme! My girlfriend is vegan so when we asked for the options the chef herself came to our table to go over the options. We really appreciated that. The food itself was fantastic. We had kubideh and aash. I wish they also had impossible meat kubideh. We will definitely go back for more!“
“I would drive out of my way for this place. At first my friend suggested it and it was 10 mins away in LA. I thought.. ehhh I don't want to be Thaaaaaaaaat Picky. Wow I leaned a lesson. "Take a suggestion from a Lebanese guy who likes to cook!" I'll be back as soon as I can. The chicken is the juiciest!“
“How do I put this, the owner is the heart of this place. He is kind, funny sweet and friendly and it shows in his food. He seems to really care about his place people and food. I sat there a couple times and just smiled and enjoyed my food. I really like this place.“
“This place is an absolute hidden gem. The service and vibe is great. What more can you ask for amazing TV’s service and drinks. The food is quality better than any bar around. It’s more of a complete restaurant and bar! High quality drinks and food. Music is on point. This place should be packed every night and it’s not. I’m giving away the sauce. Araik always takes care of us and knows what I’m drinking and remembers what I like. He goes out of his way to ask how I am. His service is on point and he knows how to make a great old fashioned!Come to this place you will not be disappointed.“
“We have been ordering food from Kabab and More for over 27 years. Not only personal dishes, but we order her catering services too. The owner, Rubina, is the absolute sweetest person we've ever dealt with in the food industry. Her food is always absolutely delicious, so fresh, spiced very well, not salty and always served with a friendly face and big smile. We have tried every dish and they're just all equal in the best Mediterranean cuisine flavor and the prices are very comparable to other Mediterranean restaurants. This restaurant is an absolute MUST-TRY!!!“
“I stumbled upon Shayan Express Restaurant, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel special. Now, let's talk about the food – an explosion of flavors that awakened my taste buds. The lamb kebabs were tender and flavorful, and the aromatic rice dishes were heavenly. The ambiance was charming, with Persian carpets and traditional decor creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I left with a happy heart and a full belly, and I'll be returning soon!“
“The quantity is plentiful and the taste is a matter of personal preference. It was delicious in my mouth.Good value for money and the staff are friendlyRather than going to an expensive Korean restaurantIt would be nice to grab a meal while traveling??“
“The Kabob King of Downtown LAIf you're looking for the tastiest, juiciest chicken kabobs in Downtown Los Angeles, Panini Kabob and Grill is an absolute must-try. Their perfectly marinated chicken is grilled to perfection with a delightful char, making it both tender and flavorful. The portions are generous, the sides are fresh, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether you're in for a quick lunch or a casual dinner, you'll leave feeling satisfied. I highly recommend this spot – it's now my go-to for the best kabobs in the city!“
“The food consistently impresses with its freshness and generous portions. Even for takeout orders, the quality remains excellent, and they consistently get your order right—a notable contrast to the Topanga location. The only drawback is that the seating is a bit tighter compared to the Topanga location.“
“I came here to celebrate with my friend what is the Persian New Year or Nowruz as it's called. It falls on the Spring Equinox and it's customary to eat fish and green rice called Sabzi polo. We ordered the fried white fish which is the most tasty and popular! Great service and friendly staff. The food is fresh and incredible! Ambiance is casual and I love the tanoor they have to bake the bread with, the freshly baked bread they give you with butter is so special and delicious.“
“I’m not one to engage in hyperbole or overstatement, but the dinner we had a Bavel last night was quite possibly the greatest dinner ever served. Seriously, the creativity in the menu was matched only by the flawless execution of the chef and kitchen in the dishes we had. The cocktails are fabulous, the waitstaff delightful, and we eagerly anticipating our next visit. If you have the chance, do NOT miss Bavel DTLA.“
