“We stopped by on a Friday night and we're lucky that, due to the rain, it wasn't too busy and we were seated immediately. We were just outside the front door but the space heater was just enough to make us comfortable throughout our meal. My husband has a nut and sesame allergy so we were a bit limited in regards to the Appetizers but we ordered the Spinach Dip made with homemade organic yogurt, spinach and shallots and it came with some Lavash bread and some cucumber and carrots. It was very refreshing and a perfect start of the meal.Their was four of us. Two of us ordered the Koubedeh Kabob plates, one got the Lamb Kabob and one got the Ahi Tuna Sandwich. All of the entrees were very tasty and a perfect serving size. The only complaint is that the brocoli, which was one of a few diffrent veggie sides, were a bit undercooked but otherwise the rest of the veggies were fabulous and the rice (which we found out was unlimited) was perfectly cooked.It was a very nice meal and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall 10 out of 10 would recommend.Dietary restrictions: My husband is allergic to tree nuts and sesame and they were very helpful and knowledge in the menu and could easily note what he could and couldn't order. While there were limits to what he could order for appetizers the rest of the menu had a lot of options for him.“
“This is my favorite place in the south bay, its mandatory after a beach day, I would take a photo but i always ravage the food from beach or gym hunger before I can…. This place is just unbeatable in the category's it serves. I see it as the best in Mediterranean, portion size, flavor, quality and all out healthy for you, I eat here year round but i start eating alot more in the months leading to summer. got to get my summer body ready!!Vegetarian options: a lot of options for vegetarians its labeled with a green leaf if i remember correct. im not even a vegetarian and i always order their maison special salad, im sure you can just get any salad with no chicken as well.“

“I had the food catered from here and we will definitely be back again. The manager was very friendly and so helpful with my order and sticking to our given budget. She was explaining everything in detail and was able to help me stay within our budget. I specifically requested the meat to be cooked a bit rare since it would be reheated the next day and they did just that. The food was amazing!! The chicken was so juicy not an ounce dry. The steak was super tender and packed with flavor. The garlic sauce is velvety and rich. Wish the greek salad was chopped but it was still good.“

“You will not find better service than when you enter Borjstar. Honestly, they treat you like a star. They are attentive and incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. The food is just as great. Very flavorful and leaves you wanting more! They also have a yogurt/ice cream dispenser so you can treat yourself before/after your meal. Put Borjstar on your list of restaurants to visit in the Gardena/South Bay area. You won't regret it!“
“Ordered a falafel burrito and the hummus with pita, and cheese quesadilla with chipotle sauce on the side via Uber eats.I wasn't crazy about the pita bread itself and the hummus was just ok, but the falafel burrito was great! I love the fries in it and the tahini is delicious. The burrito is very large and very filling, I ended up saving half for the next day and it was still just as tasty. I highly recommend getting a side of chipotle sauce to dip anything you order in!“

“While the location is not the absolute best, the food and service makes up for any faults. I used to go there all the time when I was younger, and recently decided to try it again a few times. It did not disappoint. I had a chicken kabob with came with an immense amount of sides to go along including white rice, pita and hummus, along with a few vegetables, and garlic sauce. Everything is perfectly seasoned and nothing is bland. This will definitely become a future regular place.“

What I ordered: Gygo plate - 10/10. It comes with rice, salad, hummus, and pita bread. I don't think you can change the sides. Spicy lemon garlic whole chicken - 8/10. I should have paid extra for all dark meat because the white meat was so DRY. The sauce is my favorite. Sides: Orginal hummus - 10/10, so good. Spicy hummus - 8/10, a bit sour. Pita bread - 10/10, so soft! Side salad - 7/10, nothing special Regular potato salad - 1/10. I was SO DISAPPOINTED! I even a large side of this order. It was so so SOUR, too sour! I love lemon flavor, but this was overwhelming sour. Is this how it's supposed to taste??? Is the spicy garlic potato Salas sour as well? It went straight to the trash. I feel so bad. “Always hesitant to try salmon somewhere famous for something else (chicken) but this kale salmon salad was amazing. The salmon is so fresh and what generous portion! Might be my new favorite although you can never go wrong with her rotisserie chicken here! My husband always gets it with a baked potato and it's always perfect! “first time here. ordered the Flat Iron Steak Shish Kabob. I love that they give you the option for the doneness of the meat. I asked for "medium". it was perfect to my liking. the marinade was perfect. packaging was impeccable, salad was packed separately. The grilled onion was amazing. caramelized to perfection above the flame. I wish they gave some sumac with the order by default. I don't know if they have sumac upon order... I didn't even think about it, until I got back home with the order. good thing I keep a stash of sumac packs :) highly recommend the steak kabob.“

“I usually get delivery to our office form this place quite frequently. I finally decided to come here during lunch to dine in. The food has always been pretty good for delivery, but it is definitely even better in person. I got their lunch special chicken kebab with side order hummus. The food was so good I finished the whole plate. Food came out at good timing. Service was good. If I have time to swing by in person, I'll come here for lunch. Otherwise, delivery is still good. The salad is super fresh and crisp. The place is small but clean.“
“Stopped at Mashawi Grill for a late lunch for the first time. Facilities so clean, looks new but was told they have been opened many years. My sister and I were not super hungry so ordered two small chicken soup and split a chicken wrap. We were so delighted the soup was hot and delicious and the chicken wrap was tender and really delicious served with their Mashawi garlic spread with a touch of lemon. We will recommend this eatery and return soon!“

I finally was able to try New Indias oven a few months ago and it's really good . It doesn't take long to get seated but it can take a while to take ur order! “Went and tried their food on a Weekday evening. Tried their Combo #5 with 4 beef shish kabob, 4 chicken shish kabob, 4 lamb chops, and 4 boneless chicken kabob. I also ordered a side of doogh. Their doogh doesn’t come carbonated, and was good, but wasn’t what I was expecting. The boneless chicken and beef were both cooked well and weren’t dry. The lamb chops were a little chewy but overall they were okay. I was a bit surprised they gave sumac on the side without me asking which was definitely a service plus! The size of the rice and mast o khiar may be a little small for two people, but it never hurts to ask for more. Overall, it was a pretty good experience!“
“We came here Easter Sunday because everything else was closed. We didn't expect much but the food was delicious and the woman at the register absolutely makes this place a gem. She was so kind and friendly, and when we decided to eat in, she basically was our waitress too. She was lovely! We'll definitely be back!“
