Generally, LA is not known for great pizza until now. Tomato Pie Pizza Joint (est 2006) is corner pizza joint that makes the perfect NY-Style pizza in Silverlake. They have two other locations: So.Pasadena and Woodland hills.As far as I can remember I have driven past by this place going to work for years. But today is the day I checked it out. I work right around the corner from this place, never knew how great it was! Stopped in for lunch, went simple and got one slice of cheese pizza and one slice of pepperoni. It was so delicious! tables are outside and it was such a nice day, service was great. Guy at counter was so helpful and awesome! i didn't get his name or any pictures bui everything was wonderful.

I usually come to this place for Calzone which is the best one I ever have had. I tried deep dish Sicilian pizza this time as well. Also nice staff are here and now this has best deep dish Sicilian pizza and calzone
