“I'm a big fan of Burger she Wrote. One of my top 5 places for burgers in LA and if your in town a must try. I'm looking forward to new location opening. But there is some major competition around the corner at Marathon just a block down the street that is always packed. Then NADC burger just opened up and that's hands down the best burger in LA. Hopefully Burger she Wrote is set on meeting the competition and the grilled cheese burger looks like a step in the right direction.“

“This is a hidden gem in Chinatown. Not a lot of seating for customers, but throughput is fast, so you’ll eventually get a table by the time your food is ready. Food portion is great and tasty. Chili cheese dog has just the right amount of heat and burger was delicious. A little disappointed with the tuna melt as the cheese was not melted and was still cold. Fries are done just right and perfect for sharing. All in all, a fun eating experience with decent pricing.“

From the food to the atmosphere, I felt like I was in another dimension with the unique take on regional cooking styles to the sound quality of the music. “Was not sure what to expect here as we were just hungry and swung by. Friendly service: the woman who helped us offered recommendations and explained items on the menu. Atmosphere is nothing special, just a clean area with tables and chairs. We got the Korean Galbi burrito, which was good but had too many raw onions, and the sou garlic Korean chicken wings, which were as good as any we’ve had in the area! Fried potato balls were a unique addition to the meal. Would recommend them if you’re wanting a little treat, but they’re not essential. Pretty good prices for generous servings!“

The service was excellent, and the board was beautifully crafted. The cheeses and meats were fresh and delicious, and delivery was seamless and right on time. My guests absolutely loved it! I highly recommend Marvelous Creations for anyone looking for a stunning and delicious charcuterie board for any gathering.“

“Chick & Burger nailed the flavor but left me wishing for a little more. This is a small business with heart, and the woman who took my order was kind and welcoming. I genuinely hope they thrive. I’d also encourage the owners to engage with their Google reviews and hear the feedback, because it’s clear people want them to succeed. The food is already delicious, and with a few thoughtful tweaks, they could easily be a five star spot.

The fried chicken sandwich was a standout. Juicy, tender, full of flavor, and balanced perfectly with honey butter and light mayo. The bun held up, and the whole thing felt intentional, like someone cooked it with care. Honestly, one of the best chickens I’ve had anywhere. The bibimbap was also clean and comforting, no strange flavors, just solid balance. But the portion was small. I got both dishes thinking I’d have lunch and dinner, and ended up finishing the bibimbap quickly because there weren’t enough vegetables to round it out. For a dish that usually shines because of its mix and volume, that part felt underwhelming.

The meal came to $35.01 for take out, which isn’t bad for the quality, but the value didn’t fully match the flavor. A little more generosity with the portions, especially the vegetables or the slaw in the sandwich, would make a real difference. Still, the care shows, and I’d come back for that chicken in a heartbeat.“

“Old style dining with a great variety of food. Their burritos are huge and delicious. Big enough for 2 people. Employees there are always very courteous and friendly. No loud raucous music that would keep you from talking to each other. I love this place. Gotta try it.“

The food is fantastic, but I was especially impressed by their thoughtful and delicious vegetarian-friendly options—it's so refreshing to find a spot that offers such flavorful plant-based choices. The amazing outdoor ambiance makes it the perfect place to kick back, relax, and enjoy the weather. On top of the great setting, the staff was incredibly attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. “This place is a hidden gem. The Philly cheesesteak with fries/drink combo is one of my favorite lunches on the westside. Plenty of well seasoned meat & veggies, and the option to add lettuce/tomato/mayo - which I do. And the sandwich is very neatly wrapped in paper and cut in half - making it easy to eat. The crinkle cut fries are always perfectly cooked - with a crisp outside, but still fluffy inside, and then enhanced with seasoning (Lawry’s maybe?). Plus self-serve Coke fountain beverages (a sign says only 1 refill, but they don’t seem to be stingy with this).

They also have teriyaki bowls and burgers - but I haven’t tried those yet.

They have a GREAT selection of bottled & canned sodas/drinks, including Jarritos, Jones, Boylan, and Snapple - big winners!

The inside is dated and worn…and it’s perfect!
It’s been here since 1957, and appears to be family owned & operated.

“I just flew in from Massachusetts and needed something to eat while waiting for the studio set up a block away. Walked over, saw pastrami sandwich on the menu. Ordered it, took it back to the studio and hoovered it. Huge portion and very tender. I may know need a nap“

“Didn’t expect to like this place as much as I did, but it really surprised me. The food has this mix of American and Japanese flavors that just works, and now I’m lowkey trying to figure out how they pull it off. Every sauce we tried had its own thing going on—nothing felt repetitive or boring. Even the dessert caught me off guard. The chocolate avocado shake sounded unusual, but it actually worked really well. Being able to enjoy all of that with a beer while watching Thursday night football just made the whole experience better. And shoutout to Chef Carlos—you can tell there’s some real creativity behind the menu.“
