Rediscovered Robata. Just had one of the best lunches in Marin at the best price. Excellent service. And for two of us it was a joy. This little restaurant is a gem. It's not on the beaten track for sure. And it's rather curious because you can't tell from the outside that on the inside, it's quite charming...little booths for your private party of 2 to 4. Great space but food is lacking. It's almost too expensive for the quality of fish they serve. The wasabi is a strange green and shumai tasted very fishy. I know it's a tough time for restaurants and honestly the entire Marin restaurant scene is lacking but maybe narrow down the menu and improve the quality? I

The food and service is always good here. Even though they are under new management, they have kept the nice details and quality of food! Happy hour at the bar is also a nice option (4-6 I think?) and there is a table that has a fire in the bar so we will definitely try to reserve that next time we go!
