HIGHLY recommend!FOOD: They have reasonable lunch specials available from which we ordered the chicken enchiladas & al pastor street taco. Both were great & very tasty. I also had a craving for chilaquiles so we ordered that off the regular menu and my cravings were very well satisfied. We forgot to order the highly recommended shrimp empanadas but that’s a perfect excuse for us to go back soon!DRINKS: I mean they are truly one of the highlights of our meal. The signature “La Sexy Michelada” was one of the best I’ve had. It literally had a whole half of a mango seasoned with chamoy & tajin balanced on a tamarind candy stick in a large glass mug liberally rimmed with chamoy & tajin. The michelada itself was perfectly made IMHO. My aunt ordered the Margarita Flight and she thought every single one was delicious & unique. The State was located on the corner of Myrtle and Lemon, actually it was near the corner. Parking: There were plenty of parking spaces around, but you can find more parking spaces on a nearby parking lot (free), turning right on Lemon (going East) if you're heading South on Myrtle. The parking lot was located across from the Fire Station. The posted sign on the parking lot stated a 3-hour parking from 8am-5pm Tips: Happy Hour, M-Fr 11am-6pm. I missed the Happy Hour today. I got there at 6:30PM Brunch: SAT, SUN: 10AM-3PM Specials: Monday-Mules $6 Tuesday-Margaritas $6, Tacos $2.5 Wednesday-Old Fashioned $8, Toki Highball $6 Thursday- All Wine by The Glass 1/2 off What were ordered My daughter ordered the following: -Pasta Primavera $20 (She enjoyed it and finished her plate. I tried it and it was tasty to me.) -Creme Brûlée $10 (Delcious) I ordered -New York Steak Medium Rate $38. It came with tenderstem broccoli and mash potatoes. (It was juicy and tender. My daughter tried it and she liked the steak) -Wedge Salad $11 (I liked it. My daughter didn't. She was more of a caesar salad fan) -Avocado Wraps $12, came with 3 wraps (I liked it. My daughter didn't try because she didn't like avocados) -Short Rib Tacos $12, came with 3 tacos (I do not recommend. For me the flavor of the meat was not good. My daughter said it was too spicy and she didn't like it. She was attacking me for not telling her it was spicy, making it sounded like I did that on purpose. I didn't even know they had chopped jalapeños in it) Total after tax was $113.56, with 20%ish tip $136.56 Overall the food was good, service was great, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Talking of which, we saw ambulance and firefighters activity during dinner. Of course I had to snap a pic to share with you all. Oh the place was very busy, no empty table inside. We were offered to sit at the bar or outside (they thought my daughter was 21 or something haha). I chose to sit outside and thankfully they had heating lamps right above us...it was very warm. One minor issue: When my daughter and I first arrived at The State and waited at the hostess lectern to be seated. The waitress and waiter were busy in the back by the bar area cleaning glasses. The waiter decided to wave at me to come to the bar, instead of coming to the front to the hostess stand to seat us. I was thinking to myself "What the heck was that? Uhhh no. You come to me". He kept waving at me trying to get my attention and I ignored. I stayed put until one of them, the waitress, decided to stop what she was doing and came to us to ask us if we wanted to sit at the bar or outside. Other than that, everything else was great and we had a great time.“
“Dinner at Bar Chelou marries the world of classic French cuisine with its delicious technique and sensibilities, with bold and subtle Asian and Spanish flavors, with the freshness and bounty of California produce. The union is sometimes strange but rewarding to the diner who appreciates and wants that unique dining experience. The wine list matches the cuisine very well with some off beat bottles almost tailor made for certain dishes. My associate had a sidecar bourbon and wine. I've had drinks at the bar and outside where the bartenders open up a window and you are served from the outside. Pretty cool“

I believe this is family owned and service was every bit like being at your friend's moms house for all the attentiveness. I had a taco de birria and it was deelish!! The consommé was savory but not overpoweringly so. Hubs had a chicken soft taco that looked good. Chips and salsa were tasty and beer was cold!“
“purposely came due to the nostalgic aspect of it being in the movie Halloween III. super cool vintage vibe just like from the Tom Atkins scene in the movie. great beers on tap and clean bathroom. bartender had a very nice British accent and was very accommodating. a buddy of mine was with me and we got to hang out with some of the bar regulars. they shared stories about the area and gave us some real nice recommendations in regards to film locations. we took some pics with the bartender and regulars before making our way to the famous church from the movie THE FOG. definitely stop by and grab some drinks if you're in the area !!“

“Very nice place. The outside looks like a ski lodge with fake snow on the roof. Inside is a dimly lit log cabin with wood shavings on the floor and a life sized stuffed bear in a display case by the waiting area. The red cabbage salad was good but overly salty as was the salad dressing. The cheese bread was very flavourful but oily. More butter than cheese. Dinner was a steak and lobstertail combo. The steak was a reasonable sized portion and well cooked. The lobstertail and side potato were enormous, perfectly cooked. There's a reason things are called lumberjack sized. Even the coffee mugs are oversized. Everything was delicious including the chocolate mousse dessert which was the perfect size. Just be aware there are no vegetarian or vegan options here. It's a meat and fish eaters eatery. Well worth it IMO. Would definitely go back.“
“Came here for dinner with friends people last weekend. Food was good service couldve been better. Im allergic to raspberries and blackberries thus I always tell the waiter waitress before I order anything. Tell me why I ordered a seafood dish and the place it on the other side Im sitting at a corner and lo and behold theres blackberries on top of it. So in my head I didnt think it was my order. Also of friend in the group has special dietary restrictions. She ordered their veggie rice it took forever to come. Every one got their tacos and ceviches ate it all before her rice even came out. She also ordered their fried cauliflower that never made it out. Waiter didnt mention anything until we asked for it a third time and said they were out of it since people rarely order it. I doubt Ill be coming back.“
“Nautical Dive turned into a legit whiskey bar.Had my first taste of Eagle Rare, which did not disappoint. You could drink a beer comfortably on the bar or tables, but this is a local whiskey joint. Fully stocked bar below, but middle and upper shelves are dedicated to bourbon, Scotch, Irish and Japanese labels. Not a cocktail drinker, but the bartenders look line they know what they're doing.“
“Stumbled into the Tender Trap this weekend and it did not disappoint. The outside is very unassuming, but once you open that door you're greeted by 2 old school saloon style doors, and from that moment on, you know you're in for a good time! The decor was great, lots of great pictures (JFK), nice long wooden bar, and a few other tables to sit at. They had a pinball machine, pool table, a few TVs, and a jukebox for some added entertainment. Drinks were good, bartender and crowd were friendly, bathrooms were clean, and music was good! “Finally made it to this new local favorite and my only regret is not having been here sooner. We didn't have dinner reservations but made it there early enough (before 6) where they have plenty of tables on a Friday night. I was in the mood for a cocktail that wasn't sweet, and the server recommended just the right one. I don't remember the exact name of it but it has cucumber and a hint of agave. I think tequila is the primary ingredient but it's not a margarita. It was refreshing and offered just the right hint of sweetness. My husband who is a big fan of Old Fashioned drinks had one and boy, was it good! No, it wasn't good, it was delicious! I don't like Old Fashioneds but this one was absolutely incredible. We will return just for the drinks.The food itself was delicious, even though it has minimal offerings for vegetarians. The Impossible Burger is the only choice, but it was cooked well and the fries were good. Our other party member had a traditional burger and raved about it as well.We found out they have live entertainment every night, starting at around 9 p.m., so we will return for that.Overall, this is a fabulous place with an impressive bar, good food offerings, excellent service and an overall good vibe. “What a great find this was. Everything we had was just wonderful. Cioppino, corn bread, the wedge salad were the perks. We weren't big fans of the fried chicken or the potato chips. “OHHHHMMMMGGGGEEEE this is the bar for me!!! When I first walked in the spider stomp immediately caught my eye. Being a 16 time world champion spider stomper i felt alive again for the first time in 35 years. I got really tired after about 14 hours of play and hopped into the jacuzzi in the back and lit up a dart. I started to get hungry so I ordered a charcuterie board and some oysters to the jacuzzi through the mobile app. Wednesdays are Warhammer Wednesdays where everyone brings their 40K setup, such a tight community. I'm not much of a drinker, but they have a stellar collection of exotic kratom selections (as well as some performance enhancing pills if you know who to ask, will keep you bricked up for days lmao). Well anyways, I had a pretty good time and I'm glad to see Glendora clean up a bit in recent years :)“

However, I love that it's quaint, modern, and clean! I was able to snag two seats at the bar and order some wines. I had the red flight which had 3 reds (from CA wineries) for $15. When the bestie came, we ordered a bottle of Prosecco for $35 so that was a steal. I had a beer after and everything was fine in terms of drinks. Nothing out of ordinary, but I was glad there wasn't anything that made me regret swallowing. It's a cute, casual wine bar that isn't there to super impress like it has a secret wine vault with wallet-killing wines, but I like the fact that it supports native California wineries with reasonable pricing! It's definitely NOT a place to host large parties, but good for parties of 4 or under. I will come back again since they close at 11pm. Nate is one of the friendliest bartenders i have ever met, i always feel safe coming here by myself or even with one of my girlfriends. Cassie is also one of my favorite bartenders here! There are plenty of darts games as well as a pool table that can keep things interesting with new friends. The touch tunes is amazing to pick your own music, the atmosphere here is the perfect amount of respectful yet sassy, and the beer is cold! highly recommend <3“
“This place was amazing. We came it with a group of 10, and we got set up with a table right away. They got our orders quickly, and then appetizers and food came out just as quick. However, the food was probably the best Korean fried chicken I have had in a long time. The sauce flavors were delicious, chicken was crunchy. Definitely have to try Korean BBQ , Lemon Pepper (dry), and the Sweet Chili Wings. Even the Bulgogi Pizza was great. Great little hole in the wall spot.
