“Crabby's was definitely a great experience and a good seafood option! One of the few places in the area that offers a wide array of seafood and ways to enjoy it.Started off with some guacamole, you can tell it was just made! Their house salsa was delicious as well, I combined the two and winner winner!I tried their garlic buttered shrimp with rice and beans, and will have to get that again next time! They had some spicy options which also look good, if you're into that kind of thing ?.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will happily be back soon. I love that this is a family business and everyone is so friendly and kind. Thanks again and see you soon!“

“Horchata was bomb. Tacos are small usually its two tortillas and spill-over meat makes a second. Tortillas were somewhat undercooked. Other than being small gourmet playhouse looking portions it was good. It was more once in a lifetime kinda meal not beefy hearty get full go to work filling kinda meal. Its more like a Go alone buy a second round of the sampler kind of meal. Its pricey but worth it.Parking: Dont wear plaid or red or blue. There was a face tattoo guy leaving the parking lot.“

“I think eating at Bodegon No. 69 was my first time eating Peruvian food. And because I was starving when I went with a friend I wanted to make sure what I ordered would be good enough to satisfy my hunger. So I went with a safe and familiar choice and ordered the Arroz Chaupa de Pollo, which is fried rice with chicken. It was delicious. By no means did it taste like Chinese fried rice but it did have a similar look and texture even with a scrambled egg throughout. The Arroz Chaupa de Pollo really stood out because of the Peruvian seasonings. Overall the chicken was tender and crispy. The rice was fluffy and each bite was wrapped in Peruvian flavors and seasonings, which are earthy with a bit of sweetness. The portion size was enough for two people, so I ate half and took the rest home for later. I paired my Chupa with the Inka soda. The color of the soda is bright yellow and has the taste of an American vanilla crème soda. But rather than being made of sugar like American sodas, the Inka soda is made from an herb similar to chamomile, per the server. Each time I have gone the wait staff have been very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I like the outdoor seating which looks like it is a holdover from the early Covid days. I'm not sure what the ambiance is like when eating inside as I have enjoyed eating outside.Bodegon No. 69 is a good place for small or large groups, mainly due to the portion sizes.“

Mon - Thur 8:00AM - 2:00PM Fri - 8:00AM - 3:00PM Sat - Sun - 7:00AM - 3:00PM Have I found a hidden gem? I've driven up and down Orange Grove Blvd HUNDRADS of times and never knew Mendez Restaurant was there until today, it was a HOT day and I was thirsty so I saw "Super Liquor" and decided to stop in and grab some water, what do I find inside of this Liquor store tucked away in a back corner.... Mendez Restaurant. Restaurant might be a stretch they have two tables and a few chairs, but a pretty decent menu including Barbacoa de Borrego! I ordered food to go. Tacos ($2.25) Asada Nice lean and tender beef, but lacking in flavor, it was most likely cooked on a flat-top grill and not well seasoned, corn tortillas fresh but out of a bag. 3-Stars Al Pastor Another taco that was just ok, not bad just not the bold flavor you should have with al pastor. 3.5-Stars Torta Barbacoa de Borrego ($9.00) Look at the size of that Telera roll, not only is it big, it's soft and fresh, filled with plenty of Barbacoa de Borrego "Lamb" Beans, Lettuce, Tomato, Jalapenos fantastic torta. 5-Stars“

The chicken was very soft and well seasoned (for a moment I felt like I was in the typical Peruvian chicken shop), I was also very surprised by how well it went with the rice and finally the salad was fresh and had quite a few colors. For someone who has been disappointed many times trying grilled chicken in different restaurants, I was more than satisfied. The standout dish for me was the menudo - hands down the best in the area. The flavor was clean and no off-taste, and it came with homemade tortillas as well. I tried both the meat chicharrone and the skin-only options, and I found the latter to be much crispier and more enjoyable. The meat one tasted a bit too oily for my taste.SERVICE:As a takeout experience, there wasn't much in terms of service besides ordering and picking up the food.
