“I ordered the Milpa Chicken bowl ?. It was good. It cost around $11.00. I enjoyed it. I also liked the green sauce better than the red sauce. I was really satisfied with the peach citrus honey tea. It cost $4.00. My tongue always feels refreshed when I drink a tasty iced tea like the peach citrus honey tea. The drink was perfect ?. I appreciate ? the good service here. The only downside is that you have to look for parking in the street and maybe pay for parking.“

“I think eating at Bodegon No. 69 was my first time eating Peruvian food. And because I was starving when I went with a friend I wanted to make sure what I ordered would be good enough to satisfy my hunger. So I went with a safe and familiar choice and ordered the Arroz Chaupa de Pollo, which is fried rice with chicken. It was delicious. By no means did it taste like Chinese fried rice but it did have a similar look and texture even with a scrambled egg throughout. The Arroz Chaupa de Pollo really stood out because of the Peruvian seasonings. Overall the chicken was tender and crispy. The rice was fluffy and each bite was wrapped in Peruvian flavors and seasonings, which are earthy with a bit of sweetness. The portion size was enough for two people, so I ate half and took the rest home for later. I paired my Chupa with the Inka soda. The color of the soda is bright yellow and has the taste of an American vanilla crème soda. But rather than being made of sugar like American sodas, the Inka soda is made from an herb similar to chamomile, per the server. Each time I have gone the wait staff have been very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I like the outdoor seating which looks like it is a holdover from the early Covid days. I'm not sure what the ambiance is like when eating inside as I have enjoyed eating outside.Bodegon No. 69 is a good place for small or large groups, mainly due to the portion sizes.“

Mendez Restaurant. Restaurant might be a stretch they have two tables and a few chairs, but a pretty decent menu including Barbacoa de Borrego! I ordered food to go. Tacos ($2.25) Asada Nice lean and tender beef, but lacking in flavor, it was most likely cooked on a flat-top grill and not well seasoned, corn tortillas fresh but out of a bag. 3-Stars Al Pastor Another taco that was just ok, not bad just not the bold flavor you should have with al pastor. 3.5-Stars Torta Barbacoa de Borrego ($9.00) Look at the size of that Telera roll, not only is it big, it's soft and fresh, filled with plenty of Barbacoa de Borrego "Lamb" Beans, Lettuce, Tomato, Jalapenos fantastic torta. 5-Stars“

The chicken was very soft and well seasoned (for a moment I felt like I was in the typical Peruvian chicken shop), I was also very surprised by how well it went with the rice and finally the salad was fresh and had quite a few colors. “Fantastic customer service here. They are usually very attentive, pleasant, respectful, and expedient. I was able to request the freshly made corn tortillas with cilantro, which I recommend with the queso fundido and chorizo. Their tacos de Birria are legit!! I recommend you try those, above all else. My husband asked for a replacement for the fish and they were able to accommodate. The servers were quite helpful with my mom as she uses a walker. They are also bilingual, which is a plus.Pro tip: they have platanos fritos con crema and frijol (fried plantains with cream and beans). You just need to ask. I'm sorry I didn't take a pic. One of the few places in the area that offers a wide array of seafood and ways to enjoy it.Started off with some guacamole, you can tell it was just made! Their house salsa was delicious as well, I combined the two and winner winner!I tried their garlic buttered shrimp with rice and beans, and will have to get that again next time!
