“Bree’osh is a delightful French bakery and breakfast spot in the heart of Montecito. It’s extremely efficient and the amount of pastries coming out of this place seems endless. That being said, they will run out of the best stuff if you don’t get there on time. Their breakfast sandwiches are a highlight and it’s a shame they do not have more gluten free options on the menu because I’m sure they would be incredible. They obviously have a ton of skill when it comes to pastries, their coffee and teas leave a little bit to be desired, but still are an excellent treat to go with your croissant.“
“Awesome place with great sandwiches. Firehouse or San Ysidro are my favorites. This thing is loaded with meat. Wish it came with chips and drink like a combo instead of a La carte but if that's the only criticism I have, take it with a grain of salt. My coworkers and I come here often; probably my favorite place to eat in Montecito (the actually Montecito, not tourism row on Coast Village Road).“

“Best breakfast place we had on our California road trip - by far. Their campfire French toast with smoked maple sirup (only on weekends) is next level, their avocado toast with cucumber super tasty and the cinnamon roll the best I ever had! We came back three times to Santa Barbara during our road trip and part of that decision was also the amazing breakfast at Helena's Bakery. You order at the counter and then look for a seat, indoors or outdoors. There is parking in the neighborhood if you need it, but I would recommend to walk over.A must go if you are in SB!“

“I decided to try,one morning, their miso-maple focaccia and since then I am hooked! It won me over instantly! Moist, flavorful without being over the top, just perfect balance. I can never resist marzipan so I had a frosnapper! Once again delighted with it! Let’s just say it didn’t make it home. I also love their pumpkin seeds sourdough bread, moist, full of seeds, excellent! Highly recommend.“

“My husband and I were in Santa Barbara for a few days. We stopped at a local coffee shop and a customer waiting for their order overheard me ask the cashier if they had gluten-free options...they had two. Well, this kind woman told me if I want great gluten-free food, go to Lilac Patisserie. So the next morning we were there. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. That woman overhearing me has made me a huge fan of Lilac Patisserie. Our breakfasts were excellent. I have been gluten-free for over seven years and the breakfast was by far the best gluten-free breakfast I have ever had. My husband is not gluten-free and he said he could not taste the difference. The ambiance is warm and friendly. The service was professional and we didn't feel rushed to order. The line was long now and then while we were there but the meal was worth the wait. We did not have to wait for a table. There is inside and outside seating. We even purchased some baked goods to bring back home to Los Angeles with us. Lilac Patisserie is a MUST every time we visit Santa Barbara.“

“This is such a cute spot for breakfast, brunch, early lunch. Service is amazing, food is great. The way they have it set up is great, you get in line outside, then inside to order at the register then they have a table waiting for you. Servers are amazing. Clean restrooms. Right across from the BEACH.“

“Great food but keep in mind that the avocado toast (specifically the gf one) is only one small slice and it’s extra $ to add on the good stuff. The yogurt/ gluten free granola parfait and oat milk lavender latte were both DELISH! We were told any bowls would take 20+ minutes to make which seems insane (coming from someone who used to work at a smoothie/breakfast/coffee shop we never had that kind of wait even when equally as busy). Luckily, it didn’t take 20 minutes for the parfait but just a heads up if you’re in need to a quick breakfast. You can tell it’s a beloved restaurant of the vacationers and locals and based on taste you can see why, but is still a bit pricey for what you get.Dietary restrictions: Gf bread and granola available“

“Edit: Great food again as usual!Original Post: I love this place and come here regularly. But today was dissapointed that my french onion soup had barely any onion, with an overly salty broth. Will update this review next time I come when the food is (hopefully) as good as it is normally“

“Jeannine's is one of our favorites when we visit cousins in Santa Barbara several times a year. The line, while off-putting at first, moves quickly and you've ordered and are seated soon enough to not make impatient kids crazy. We ordered the Challah French Toast breakfast with scramble eggs, Chilaquiles, Two Eggs over easy and a side of toast, and the oatmeal. All arrived well-presented and all reported as "super tasty." My only criticism is that, even though we were eating in and event though they thankfully provided cloth napkins, the coffee was in a paper cup and the water was in a plastic cup. Especially since you are situated right across the street from the beach, change to reusable cups and you will get 5 stars.“

“I don't leave reviews..well ever. But I was in Santa Barbara for my birthday. After much research I focused on black sheep!! The couple that was to join me ultimately could not make. So I sat at the bar. There I met the owners wife and "Jess" who waited on me with diligence. While there early the place picked up and was standing room only, to which I can only attribute to the great food. So I would suggest to make sure you make your reservations and be prepared that if you are in the second seating to have little wait. But it's worth it! It's limited seating and the decor is trendy yet inviting. The bar is spacious and if a couple allows for dinner and drinks without feeling rushed or pressed. I did an off menu sampling of 8 courses. A bit insane but it was my birthday. Each was amazing but among the amazing I have a ranking. To enjoy the offerings I encourage you split the discuss to enjoy them w a friend(s). 1. Marrow toast. Astounding and unique. A must try 2. Beet and chèvre cheese cake. I was like omg why did you give me this ?? But then....it was like could I have another. All in. Must try. 3. Coq au vin. Who would have thought it would end up #3. Simple but just outstanding. 4. Ricotta gundi cavatelli. I the mushroom sauce. Just wow 5. An off menu salmon. Like butter. If they have it when you are there...it's definite. 6. Short rib. Another offf menu item. The issue is that the other items above it were so good it seemed unhonorable to rank it here but it's was only because of the other items being that "tasty" 7. Crudo du jour. albacore with this amazing raspberry yuzu kochi cucumber radish salad that was off the hook. Again. Ranked here only because the other items were that good. 8. Crème brûlée. Solid offering. But overwhelmed by the dinner options. Jess at the bar was amazing. I highly encourage the visit. Was truly worth it. 1. Crudo du jour.“
“My husband and daughter popped by yesterday just for fun. They got the last few items- a strawberry cupcake, an eclair, a cream puff, and a red velvet cupcake. We slowly enjoyed each item.... And we are a baking family. We LOVED all of them! Cannot recommend the baked goods here enough! And I heard the owner has a great attitude and is wonderful too!“

“Tried the kalefornia salad, a falafel sandwich, and the fries. Everything was delicious! The veggies in the salad tasted super fresh. Portions are generous and everything is vegan and nut-free! The employee who took my order was also very nice and super helpful.Dietary restrictions: Food is vegan and nut free!“
“Wonderful French pastry, served by a welcoming baker in a tiny space filled with glass cases of beautiful, French pastries, eclairs and scones. Each pastry and large coffee were $4.50 each. So delicious and pretty messy to eat in the car! But, well worth it!“

“What a little treasure! I have passed by this little cafe/bakery many times before--each time telling myself to get in there soon. Finally after six years living in town, I made it! The inside feels like you’re in someone’s cottage with antiques and Australian touches here and there. Not a surprise given the adorable Victorian home it’s housed in. I was greeted by the owner himself who was friendly and helpful with all my newbie questions. This business is Australian—uh huh, I said it right; full on Aussie. Completely unexpected…I gotta say. Get your Flat White here! Their vanilla syrup is made in house and I highly recommend it too. They offer a variety of fresh, homemade pastries. I ordered the banana bread which had a nice balance of sweet and savory, plus it was warmed up on a griddle. Just as Nana would do! I know they are known for their cinnamon rolls so I will definitely be back to try one when my sweet tooth kicks in. The quiches were also sold out when I came in and at high-demand. One gal said their quiche is the best in town! A bold statement.Given that the Holidays are coming up quickly, it’s also worth mentioning that they have a sign offering their handmade pies for purchase. I plan to preorder two for when we host our family Thanksgiving this year. Flavors and selections are endless (pumpkin, apple, berries, and the list goes on).Hooroo mate!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at entrance“

“OMG so delicious. Ordered four eggs, toast and breakfast potatoes l. Everything came out fresh and hot so good. Staff was very nice and made me feel like home. This place is a 10 out of 10 and I sure will be back. This is a secret place off the path of State Street. It's a must go to for breakfast or lunch.“

“Stopped here for a quick bite before we continued on the way to cemetery The breakfast croissant for me, and fried breakfast sandwich, for my husband, were good. First time here. We've been to Harry's next door and thought we were going to eat there but found out Harry's didn't open until 11am. We were an hour too early. But decided to go into Renaud's. We will be back.“

“The line was crazy long and we weren't sure if we wanted to wait, but they are so well organized! They got a table for our party while we stood in the line, so we had a place to sit once we placed our order. The service was fairly quick and the food was good. Nice atmosphere and we admired the enduring love story of the owners & their precious photos.“
