“The sticky buns were incredible. Each layer was buttery, flakey, and sticky. They center of the sticky bun was the perfect balance of cripy on the outside and with a soft core. The sweetness was not overpowering. My daughter enjoyed her eclair she said it was too sweet.Wheelchair accessibility: The door is a little tight. You wheel directly into a display case. Upon entering the door swings in and is not automatic. Seating is outside and accessible by ramp. Large bathroom is a single stall in on the otherside of the plaza, you need to ask for a key.“
“I love the Brass Bird Coffee and Kitchen. It checks all of the boxes: great flavorful food and beverages, wonderful fresh baked goods, tasty snacks and sandwiches, and a fabulous location with lots of free parking. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and they make wonderful drinks of all kinds served in a relaxed atmosphere. The outdoor patio is dog friendly, has great Wi-Fi reception (great place to work) and also has heaters and a nice fountain. It fits in perfectly with Carpinteria's relaxed small beach city charm. The menu is constantly changing with new seasonal food items, fresh new bakery selections, and seasonal beverages. There are several gluten free items to chose from and many organic choices as well. It is also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine or champagne, lunch or breakfast and when available brunch. I don't generally drink soft drinks but they make several house made sodas that are absolutely delicious without being too sweet. I particularly like the watermelon lime soda. When visiting Carpinteria make sure and visit this wonderful place. You will not be sorry.“
“Best coffee in Santa Barbara - and it's not close! Handlebar in my opinion is the quintessential coffee shop. It has a relaxed but bustling vibe - the place always seems busy... a testament to the product and service. Speaking of the service, it is world class. Everyone is friendly and smiling and they do a great job of taking care of you as the customer. One man who I think is the owner is in quite regularly and he seems especially helpful and kind to the customers. But he is great - he genuinely wants you enjoy his coffee and have a wonderful experience in the coffee shop. I appreciate that and it keeps me coming back at least once a week! Now onto the coffee, it is always great! Never too bitter and full of flavor. As for mochas/lattes/etc. I haven't had better in SB. Everything is of the highest quality and is fantastic! That quality is translated across the board to the food too - the almond croissant is AMAZING!! If you find yourself in the mood for coffee and a wonderful pastry while in the Santa Barbara area, this is the place for you. P.S. It's my fave spot to do the daily connections and wordle! ;)“
“Great food but keep in mind that the avocado toast (specifically the gf one) is only one small slice and it’s extra $ to add on the good stuff. The yogurt/ gluten free granola parfait and oat milk lavender latte were both DELISH! We were told any bowls would take 20+ minutes to make which seems insane (coming from someone who used to work at a smoothie/breakfast/coffee shop we never had that kind of wait even when equally as busy). Luckily, it didn’t take 20 minutes for the parfait but just a heads up if you’re in need to a quick breakfast. You can tell it’s a beloved restaurant of the vacationers and locals and based on taste you can see why, but is still a bit pricey for what you get.Dietary restrictions: Gf bread and granola available“
“In search of my morning cappucino on our trip to Santa Barbara, I found Dawn cafe. Of 4 different cafes in the last 2 days, this was the highlight. Not only did the barista make the perfect cappucino, but the beans (they roast their own) were that perfect medium roast that highlighted both the "bean" and the "burn"; a well balanced taste that got me ordering a second cup. Well done, and I went back the next day.“
“This is THE best coffee shop in Santa Barbara! I always enjoy comingin and admiring the beautiful space and decorations with yummy drinks of snacks. Iris is a wonderful barista and always treats me so kindly when I come in, as well as the rest of the staff. Love it here!“
“Edit: Great food again as usual!Original Post: I love this place and come here regularly. But today was dissapointed that my french onion soup had barely any onion, with an overly salty broth. Will update this review next time I come when the food is (hopefully) as good as it is normally“
“I always grab a crack bowl from this place on my lunch break! Love the food, healthy options, vegan options, it’s quick, they’re friendly, what’s not to love?Vegetarian options: Vegan crack bowl is my favoriteDietary restrictions: Love the vegan options“
“OMG so delicious. Ordered four eggs, toast and breakfast potatoes l. Everything came out fresh and hot so good. Staff was very nice and made me feel like home. This place is a 10 out of 10 and I sure will be back. This is a secret place off the path of State Street. It's a must go to for breakfast or lunch.“
“All dishes we ordered were very good (salad, white bean soup special, duck ravioli, veal scallopini, and pasta carbonara). Panna cotta dessert was outstanding. A few minor improvement suggestions - 1) the carbonara and scallopini were not served fully warm enough 2) Carbonara was a bit too salty.“
“Came here for brunch while in town for a wedding, and everything was delightful. We chose to share the hangover and the salmon Benedict and while both were delicious, the same, and Benedict was the unanimous winner. Our server Riley was so friendly and attentive. We will be back!“
“Stopped here for a quick bite before we continued on the way to cemetery The breakfast croissant for me, and fried breakfast sandwich, for my husband, were good. First time here. We've been to Harry's next door and thought we were going to eat there but found out Harry's didn't open until 11am. We were an hour too early. But decided to go into Renaud's. We will be back.“
“Food was excellent and service too! Only one complaint sign states no pets allowed yet a customer sitting next to us with a dog on his dog bed and she fed him from a plate from the restaurant. I probably will not be back. I won't know if I'm eating off a plate a dog ate off. Health department wouldn't be happy about this I'm sure.“
“Live Oak was a great spot to grab good breakfast at. I ordered the Santa Barbara Wrap and my boyfriend got the Avo Bacon Omeltte. Everything was pretty good, a few of the side potatoes we got were uncooked which was a bummer because they tasted great. Otherwise service was good and it was a cute little spot.“
“Traditional American-style breakfast in the courthouse area of Santa Barbara. The portions had a great size and the service was good, always serving coffee for the customers. The food was ok and overall a little expensive compared to other places in town.“
“The food was good, nice offerings albeit a little high priced. The service was excellent. Nice restaurant staff! We came after the lunch rush and I recommend this highly. Great destination riding bikes from Carpinteria on the new bike path!“
“Had coffee and pastries with a friend and it was a really nice coffee break. Ordinarily I'd go to the location on the Mesa but the downtown location has a lot going for it. Close to Kanaloa seafood, Kyle's Kitchen and Paseo Nuevo. You can get a nice coffee in the morning before work, or in the afternoon after lunch or shopping. Lots of seating inside and out and they are dog friendly. You gotta love that.Parking: First come first served parking, with a time limit so you'll usually find a spot. Full disclosure I'm usually parking a motorcycle... But there's plenty of space for cars. There is only one entrance and it's on the Chapala Street side.“
“Wonderful first experience. Pastries looked beautiful and tasted amazing. I had a kouign-amann that was buttery, sweet, and beautifully layered. I also had a beignet that was perfectly and evenly filled with a light passionfruit cream. The reception from the staff was so kind and welcoming. They must've realized it was my first time there because they gifted me a baguette to take home too!! Great customer service and attention to detail. Will be back very soon!“
“Bree’osh is a delightful French bakery and breakfast spot in the heart of Montecito. It’s extremely efficient and the amount of pastries coming out of this place seems endless. That being said, they will run out of the best stuff if you don’t get there on time. Their breakfast sandwiches are a highlight and it’s a shame they do not have more gluten free options on the menu because I’m sure they would be incredible. They obviously have a ton of skill when it comes to pastries, their coffee and teas leave a little bit to be desired, but still are an excellent treat to go with your croissant.“
