“Bree’osh is a delightful French bakery and breakfast spot in the heart of Montecito. It’s extremely efficient and the amount of pastries coming out of this place seems endless. That being said, they will run out of the best stuff if you don’t get there on time. Their breakfast sandwiches are a highlight and it’s a shame they do not have more gluten free options on the menu because I’m sure they would be incredible. They obviously have a ton of skill when it comes to pastries, their coffee and teas leave a little bit to be desired, but still are an excellent treat to go with your croissant.“
“You can taste the love and passion that goes into each cup of coffee here. The dog running around was a bonus, and the owner was extremely kind. Highly recommend for a date, friend hangout, or just a nice place to drink coffee and read a book.“
“Best breakfast place we had on our California road trip - by far. Their campfire French toast with smoked maple sirup (only on weekends) is next level, their avocado toast with cucumber super tasty and the cinnamon roll the best I ever had! We came back three times to Santa Barbara during our road trip and part of that decision was also the amazing breakfast at Helena's Bakery. You order at the counter and then look for a seat, indoors or outdoors. There is parking in the neighborhood if you need it, but I would recommend to walk over.A must go if you are in SB!“
“I love the Brass Bird Coffee and Kitchen. It checks all of the boxes: great flavorful food and beverages, wonderful fresh baked goods, tasty snacks and sandwiches, and a fabulous location with lots of free parking. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and they make wonderful drinks of all kinds served in a relaxed atmosphere. The outdoor patio is dog friendly, has great Wi-Fi reception (great place to work) and also has heaters and a nice fountain. It fits in perfectly with Carpinteria's relaxed small beach city charm. The menu is constantly changing with new seasonal food items, fresh new bakery selections, and seasonal beverages. There are several gluten free items to chose from and many organic choices as well. It is also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine or champagne, lunch or breakfast and when available brunch. I don't generally drink soft drinks but they make several house made sodas that are absolutely delicious without being too sweet. I particularly like the watermelon lime soda. When visiting Carpinteria make sure and visit this wonderful place. You will not be sorry.“
“I decided to try,one morning, their miso-maple focaccia and since then I am hooked! It won me over instantly! Moist, flavorful without being over the top, just perfect balance. I can never resist marzipan so I had a frosnapper! Once again delighted with it! Let’s just say it didn’t make it home. I also love their pumpkin seeds sourdough bread, moist, full of seeds, excellent! Highly recommend.“
“This is such a cute spot for breakfast, brunch, early lunch. Service is amazing, food is great. The way they have it set up is great, you get in line outside, then inside to order at the register then they have a table waiting for you. Servers are amazing. Clean restrooms. Right across from the BEACH.“
“Wow!!! Amazing experience and loved everything!!! Definitely a must return I want to try all their specialty coffees!! Pets allowed inside which was a major plus since it was a chilly morning. Bathroom location kinda sucks since you have to leave the establishment but it seems they have a good connection with the business next door.“
“Had coffee here twice and breakfast bowls once. Both were excellent. The bowls were fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced.Coffee was excellent the first day and just ok on the second try. It’s all about the barista. On our second day, I had to have my drink redone twice and it still wasn’t right. Barista had a terrible attitude about it sadly. I chalked it up to her having a bad day (maybe because of me!). Overall highly recommend. The place has a very nice courtyard and ambiance.“
“I stopped Dawn as I was exploring downtown. I happened by Dawn Cafe ± Market realizing that Dawn was having a Elite Yelp Event! I stopped in to get a Coffee drink and a bites. I decided on Alex's special Latte and a Ham and cheese pastry. Alex and Michelle were doing a great job of taking care of my needs as well as the other customers! The setting is quite pleasant. The space serves as the entrance to the drift hotel along with dusk the hotel bar. A very unique setup. I spoke with the hotel manager. The entire operation is online and keyless. And they are quite busy. I had a Great experience and it was Fun! Ronnie S“
“The kind of coffee shop I'd frequent regularly if I lived in the area. I appreciate how early they're open since I am an early riser and need coffee right away when I get up. The staff were friendly, the selection of pastries is excellent, the coffee tastes fantastic and the interior is cool. It's also large which makes me think even when it's busy, there should be seating for everyone. Though it wasn't crowded when I was in to order takeaway coffee.“
“Jeannine's is one of our favorites when we visit cousins in Santa Barbara several times a year. The line, while off-putting at first, moves quickly and you've ordered and are seated soon enough to not make impatient kids crazy. We ordered the Challah French Toast breakfast with scramble eggs, Chilaquiles, Two Eggs over easy and a side of toast, and the oatmeal. All arrived well-presented and all reported as "super tasty." My only criticism is that, even though we were eating in and event though they thankfully provided cloth napkins, the coffee was in a paper cup and the water was in a plastic cup. Especially since you are situated right across the street from the beach, change to reusable cups and you will get 5 stars.“
“Such a cute spot and the food is incredible! Ordered the Los Alamos Burrito and both a hot and iced churro latte. I could have this combo every day on repeat it was so incredible. The people that took my order were so kind as well. Absolutely recommend!“
“I'm glad I was hinted towards this absolute juwel of a cafe! The chocolate croissant paired with the Hawaii 5-0 smoothie is incredibly delicious and the best I've ever had in the US. But honestly, it's the staff that has me raving about the place: Awesome and very kind people! Strong recommendation if you're in SB!“
“A delightful little spot in the center of Santa Barbara serving a wide array of Turkish coffees and sweets. The server gave us a free taste of a couple of vegetarian Turkish delights with our decaf Turkish coffees, which were beautifully presented. Lovely!“
“I get my matcha powder at Vices & Spices and it's not only great quality, but it's a great price! They have lots of gift options if you're looking for something unique, and their tea and spice sections are both stocked very well. I've had their coffee once too and it was delicious!“
“We happened to find this amazing Donut & Coffee Shop during our recent trip to Santa Barbara and we're SO happy we did! The donuts are so unique and absolutely delicious; I had the savory "Everything" donut, and my husband had the "Browned Butter Caramel Old Fashioned". It's also a great place for a quick break - plenty of comfortable seating in a beautifully-designed space. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We can't wait to visit again!Parking: There is a Santa Barbara city parking lot next door, and the first 75 minutes are free.“
“Visiting from outta town for a few days and really dig this spot. Great yummy coffee with a cool vibe and nice quick service. Yummy vegan options as well. Much preferred over Dune Roasters, which I found alright but not as good of coffee and painfully slow service.“
“Quite possibly the best locals coffee shop in Santa Barbara. Fantastic Friday Night Stand-up Comedy shows every week. Every week, great new professional comedians that perform at major Comedy Clubs.Parking: Free parking lot and plenty of safe street parking.“
“Parking is hard to get, construction doesn’t help finding this location but it is worth it although pricey. The only negative thing I have for this place is the water. It tastes like it’s coming straight out of the hose from outside. Not even tap water. Aside from that, the food and latte coffee were delicious! The special, chicken chilaquiles were surprisingly good! Spicy but tasted good! The single pancakes also great! The Madagascar vanilla latte perfect thanks to the server/cashier who made sure he made it perfect after seeing I was craving one! The straws are cheaply made.“
“I had heard good things of this coffee shop so came to try. The coffee was smooth and delicious. The service was great he was engaging and gave us stickers! The coffee shop had tables if you wanted to sit and enjoy coffee in store would serve in ceramic mug. Highly recommend“
“Went here this morning for a late breakfast/brunch— it was delish! My boyfriend and I got the avocado toast with a poached egg on top (I got gf bread he got ciabatta bread) and both of us LOVED IT! I got the Milky Way latte and he got the Blue Moon latte. Both lattes were tasty but a little sweet and not much lavender flavor. Great organic coffee and still was super tasty though! We ordered from and talked to the owner a bit (at least I think she was the owner) and she was so sweet. She said there will be more gf options and pastries soon! It’s also cheaper than Lucky Llama with bigger portions— can’t wait to go back and support this little gem!Dietary restrictions: Gf bread was delish and owner said more gf bakery/pastry options coming soon!“
“Loved this little spot! They make a matcha latte perfectly!! The barista suggested making it a white chocolate matcha and it was delicious! The empanadas were great, heated up perfectly and not microwaved like some places do when heating a pastry. The sitting area in the back of as adorable and comfortable and the gift shop had a great collection of local art, greeting cards and a whole lot of gift items.“
“Wonderful first experience. Pastries looked beautiful and tasted amazing. I had a kouign-amann that was buttery, sweet, and beautifully layered. I also had a beignet that was perfectly and evenly filled with a light passionfruit cream. The reception from the staff was so kind and welcoming. They must've realized it was my first time there because they gifted me a baguette to take home too!! Great customer service and attention to detail. Will be back very soon!“
“This is one of my favorite bars in SB. Such a cool place. It's a great place to hang out and grab some drinks. Bring cash though, no credit cards. They also have a pool table which is a nice feature. And plenty of couches. Lots of couches. The back patio is really nice as well. Never have tried the food. Parking can be a little slim on de la guerra, but try and find something on one of the neighborhood side streets if you can. The bartenders are very friendly. And if you don't drink they have plenty of non-alcoholic options.“
“Good coffee, excellent breakfast burritos, and prompt service make The Daily Grind on DLV a frequent stop. I usually get a latte here and they are generally good sized and well prepared. We absolutely love the sausage burrito. It is a generous serving and includes very hot and flavorful sauce. Delicious. The place is typically busy, but the service is prompt. The staff's attitude runs the gamut from genuinely friendly to a little surely. But that's OK. I'm like that too. We return here every chance we get.Parking: Park in the back. It's usually available.“
“One of several locations in the area. I often find Dune’s coffees more interesting than traditional coffee shops. Not only do they offer a wide variety of packaged coffee, but they also brew many of their varieties in both espresso and non-espresso drinks. If you want to mix up your coffee game a little, and are willing to try something different this is probably a good choice. Of course, they also have your traditional dark roast espresso coffee as well; ZipZinger is a great option along those lines. As with most other coffee shops in the area, there are selection of baked items available as well as some other food options.Parking: Two public parking lots nearby, both located off of Chapala Street. First 75 minutes free. Also limited short term street parking.“
“Honor pizza!!Walking around found the welcomes sign to discover this little market, that has a very nice selection of pizzas, wine, gifts, books, incredible coffee.Much gratitude, to all of the people that made the experience so memorable.“
“We found this place on a whim, close by to another stop we had to make. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the patio and outdoor area - how I wish I had some work to do out there to have an excuse to enjoy it longer! It is a beautiful little oasis with the smell of roasting coffee wafting around you? It sounds like a great setting for working from home (or this sweet coffee shop). It's just a little pop-in-and-order situation, but their cozy space has so much personality - quirky art, plants, and coffee beans for purchase! I LOVED the dirty chai I ordered.“
“we stopped here on our way to paso robles. the food was good I don't have any negative to say customer service was good and prices. if ever I'm in the area I will definitely stop by again. we ordered French toast and chilaquiles. the total was close to 50 with 2 “
“Had coffee and pastries with a friend and it was a really nice coffee break. Ordinarily I'd go to the location on the Mesa but the downtown location has a lot going for it. Close to Kanaloa seafood, Kyle's Kitchen and Paseo Nuevo. You can get a nice coffee in the morning before work, or in the afternoon after lunch or shopping. Lots of seating inside and out and they are dog friendly. You gotta love that.Parking: First come first served parking, with a time limit so you'll usually find a spot. Full disclosure I'm usually parking a motorcycle... But there's plenty of space for cars. There is only one entrance and it's on the Chapala Street side.“
“Delicious acai bowl!! I came for breakfast and got the Works (16 oz) size with granola, chia pudding, peanut butter, vegan protein powder, and fruit. The presentation of the various layers was beautiful, and it also made it more enjoyable to eat (unlike most acai bowls with acai on the bottom and all the toppings on top where it's hard to mix the flavors around). I loved that they offered a great selection of unlimited toppings, especially chia pudding and vegan protein powder. The server was very kind and efficient. It was quiet and peaceful on a weekend morning. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Santa Barbara!“
“The coffee is roasted in this location and you can taste the high quality. The ham and cheese croissant was delicious. The staff is very friendly :). There are few spots in the parking lot, so you might want to park in the public parking lot nearby which is free for the first couple of hours I “
“The concept and flavor of this coffee truck is amazing. We found it right outside the Santa Barbara Mission, like right when you needed a pick me up, bam! Your prayers are answered. (get it?!) No complaints for the lattes, I can definitely see myself picking this up while out at the garden across the way as well. Who doesn't like a coffee with a view of a pink mission?“
“This is pretty much your standard donut shop, but they do have a nice variety of donuts and they are good. I thought the prices were a little high for what they offer, but in all fairness, I would expect that in Carpinteria. The place is located out at the end of a large strip mall, so there is ample parking available.“
“Very friendly and open staff here; you'd never guess or feel like you're in Monticeto among the wealthy elites (which you are). The folks at Caffe Luxxe are so down to earth they even make friendly suggestions, since I'm no coffee connoisseur. And their Caffe Nico latte distinguishes them from other coffee shops, in Santa Barbara. This drink doesn't disappoint!“
“Stopped here most of the mornings during my visit. We were staying right around the corner! I ordered a decaf latte with oat milk and it was very good, on Saturday they even set up some tables and chairs to enjoy your coffee or smoothie. Don't be alarmed if the truck isn't there right at 6:30 - worth the wait!“
“Loved the vibe of this place would love to come and hangout for longer for either work or to chat with friends. The signature coffee was delicious, beautiful and luxurious I would say. And they have some dairy free options which was great for my partner.“
“This is the cutest place in Carpinteria! Such a friendly and welcoming environment. I love going in Lost & Found to get a unique and perfect gift for a friend or something cute for my kids. They used to have the BEST muffins which they are going to bring back as soon as the city stops giving them trouble about permits.... And I cannot wait until they do! Don't pass by this adorable place without stopping in!“
“I spent the day at Stearns Wharf and decided I needed a cup of joe. I was crossing under the freeway and decided to check out this shopping center located really close to the Amtrak station right after you cross the bridge. Someone had recommended it a few days prior and said it was about everything you would want out of a coffee shop. Boy is it!!The place is excellent. They had to have really hired some talented people with a real eye for detail to put this place together. The feel and atmosphere is so warm and inviting I found my self kind of just lost in the atmosphere (see attached photos.) The inside is so unique I found my self looking at all the eye candy they had. I almost wanted a tour guide to take me through the store and tell me where they found some of the stuff. The music station was perfect. The jams are great!! The place is also clean enough to eat off the floor. So if you drop something you can safely go by the 5 second rule.I am a coffee connoisseur and kind of a caffeine junky. I love light roast coffees. Most people think dark roasts are stronger and that isn’t the case. Here is a quick chemistry lesson. When they roast the beans the duration they are roasted determined how much caffeine evaporates out. Dark roast is a longer roasting time. Thus . . . Lower caffeine content. They have a Santa Barbara medium roast that I got. It was a delight and of exceptional quality. I drank 3 cups it was that good. The service was excellent. John O was my cashier. He was an absolute delight to deal with and made me feel right at home. I was a little rough from the ocean and he treated me with a ton of respect. You could say I am writing this review as much because of how John treated me as how good the coffee was. If you are coming through Santa Barbara on the Amtrak, Santa Barbara Roasting Company should be your first stop!!Thank you Santa Barbara Roasting Company for the excellent experience!! I will be back for more. Much more.“
“There's always a line in the morning, but don't let that deter you because it moves fast & there is plenty of parking. Friendly service and the BEST BAGELS and muffins. Nice seating area outside as well.Parking: This is in the Milpas shopping center next to Rite Aid. Lots of parking available.“
“This is definitely a “local neighborhood” Starbucks, serving the Mesa. While this is not the most fancy Starbucks out there, I appreciate that the store is always clean and the service is always excellent. They always get my order correct, and I never have to wait longer than expected regardless of how busy it is. Of course, it’s Starbucks so taste and quality are consistent with other locations.Parking: Free parking lot for shopping center patrons. Can be busy but you can usually find a spot pretty easily.“
“Beautiful place, beautiful decoration, delicious food and the attention of the guys was wonderful, we came with my husband from Fontana CA and we found this wonderful restaurant. We love Santa Barbara and now Jeannine’s.We will surely return!! “
