“Great food for dinner. Wonderful discovery. We knew desserts were extraordinary but had no idea they served lunch and dinner. What a sweet surprise. We came in on a celebrity chef night as well. A great meal!4 stars on the atmosphere only because it doesn't feel warm and cozy. A bit cafeteria- ish feeling for a sit-down meal.“
“This is my favorite restaurant ever since I discovered it. The food is almost uniformly excellent. I took a chance on the swordfish this time, even though I gave up on ordering it in restaurants decades ago since they always overcook it, and it was perfect. We told them beforehand we were celebrating a birthday, and they brought out a plate of several little desserts, artistically arranged. And since they cancelled my reservation a couple of weeks ago due to having to make some kind of repairs, they started the meal with free bruchetta. On all days except Friday and Saturday, there's free corkage. But the best thing about it is the lovely ambiance and friendliness of the entire staff. I can't praise this place highly enough.“
“Ate at this restaurant for the first time. I couldn't believe how busy it was at five o'clock in the afternoon on a Saturday. Usually when you come early, you can get a table. However, this place is very tiny, and every single table was taken. We had to eat at one of their outside tables. After we got the food; I understood why it was so busy. There were 3 of us & we all ordered something different so we could sample each other's food. I must say everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I can't usually say that about a restaurant. Usually, one or two items are good, and the other ones are okay. However, everything we ordered was very tasty and seasoned very well. We had a fish, Risotto, Eggplant parmesan & a fantastic bread appetizer. Excellent restaurant. They definitely need more tables and a bigger place.“
“We always enjoy sitting on either patio and the heater lamps made it very comfortable. Our server was very pleasant and provided excellent service. The bus staff is always courteous and professional. The charcuterie board is a favorite of ours and is beautifully presented and delicious, especially the honey, a nice touch. My son always orders the steak, which is consistently cooked to perfection. A wonderful dining experience except for the table next to us which was conducting a loud FaceTime call , rude and lacking in consideration for others around them. Didn't stop us from enjoying our wonderful meal and great service.“
“Fantastic little deli. They have lots of homemade Italian family favorites like guanciale, or hard to find Italian foodstuffs. But the real delight is for under $10 they have the best sandwiches in town, hands down. I get the six inch Italian Deli sandwich anytime I'm around for lunch and it's always the perfect amount of food and a great sandwich for the money.“
“After trying a few pizza places in the area… We’ve believe we found the one! The pizza is flavorful -the sauce is flavorful. The meatball sub has good sized meatballs and is well flavored. There is something for everyone in this world and this place is for us!“
“Some restaurant menus make me feel good, prompted by good ingredients, spotless floors and a staff that understand that it’s as hard to keep a customer as to create a new one.Other places, and you probably know of a few, offer a lot of pastas and entrees, or maybe a few signature dishes that make a place unique, but disappoint when overpaying for a lower experience. I wish them well. But some restaurants surpriseme. I just had lunch at Basta, in Agora’s Whizzin Market and gotta say I’m surprised, and a little miffed.Sure the staff are great with each one genuinely happy I came in. They even smiled. The atmosphere is open, inviting, warm and has a great combination of Mexican blues, warm tones, and wrought iron.I’ve never been here before as Whizzin Market is a little out of the way for me.But in spite of all the reasons it should have all been in the feel good category, my lunch went another direction.I had originally thought to order one of the bowls which cater to veggie, meat, or fish prefs. The Jidori Chicken Bowl seemed my speed which I asked about. My server, Cruz asked if I wanted the roast chicken or the bowl?Roast Chicken is my comfort food and I lost my mind for a beat. Then committed a classic amateur restaurant goer move:The panic order.“Roasted, please,” I heard myself say. Cruz refilled my coffee and disappeared. The dice now rolled, I waited. The chicken was good. No, not just good, but magnificent. So good I felt a mix of relief, surprise and annoyance. None of this was directed at the staff, Basta’s management, or the even the poor chicken.First, being from a small town in Indiana originally, I’ve eaten chicken at least 23x a week since 1970 and I’ve never tasted chicken like this. From the light golden sauce to crispy skin, it was ideally cooked and served immediately. I had no idea. No exaggerating.Second, that this lunch in terms of price point is a super value. Check the menu when you stop in, but you’ll find Basta a wonderful value for the level of care and attention to it all.All that to say, I’m so mad I haven’t been here earlier. Regardless of the distance, it should have been on my list.Consider yourself warned you may feel the same.Parking: Get here early if Canyon Club has a show.“
“If you haven't been here what are you waiting for? From the moment that you walk in the door, you are greeted with the biggest smiles and open hearts. It's the best fine dining Simi Valley has. The service is spot on. Christina and her crew are always at your table checking on you. The food never disappoints. So many delicious options on the menu. My favorite is the filet mignon in peppercorn sauce it's top quality meat served with the fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes or sometimes I switch and have mushroom risotto delicious. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Also excellent wine list and homemade desserts. Creative salads and freshly made soups. Like I said what are you waiting for? Call and make a reservation. bon appetit.“
“A client took my boss, and the hole crew out to dinner at Rusticos an Italian restaurantIt was excellent. You could tell the food was created by a real chef. Every bite was excellent. I had the salmon.I was impressed by everything they served . 5***** ratingWe loved our dinner“
“Love Butler's Pizza! Hardworking owner and his family have always greeted my wife and I with a smile and friendly hello. Excellent menu, reasonable prices, delicious food. Their sourdough pizza crust is our favorite, highly recommended! There are lots of pizza options in T.O. and Westlake, but Butler's is our personal choice.“
“Carrara’s is one of my favorite places to go to! It’s one of the most authentic Italian cafes I’ve been to out here. The coffee is so good and the pastries don’t just look pretty, but they’re actually delicious. Everyone who works here is so nice and goes above and beyond! I wish I knew everyone’s names but from going there as often as I do I can honestly say Tallin, Danica, Alir, Sarah and really just the whole staff is so sweet and they make you feel so welcomed! Alir makes some of the best lattes I’ve ever had and Tallin decorates the foam on the lattes and the desserts in a beautiful way! I love everything about this place and would highly recommend :)“
“We really enjoy Cedro because it feels like Italy. The food is authentic, scratch-made Italian. Like in most restaurants you'll find in Italy, their wines are chosen to compliment their food. Be sure you ask about the nightly specials. The staff is attentive and friendly. It's about you. The decor is comfortable but plain. Service is not rushed. Go there with others who like to converse. I hope you have a good evening!“
“I love coming to this Presto Pasta Location in Simi Valley. I’m a delivery driver and I work in many cities but every time I’m in Simi I always save my appetite so I can stop here and get me a Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and a garden salad. The place is always clean and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Food is great and I always chose to dine in. Thank you and keep up the great service!“
“Italian restaurant located in Westlake Plaza & Center in Lake Sherwood.Visited at 6pm. Since it was daylight saving time, we were guided outside to the terrace while it was still daylight.Clam chowder was delicious. The Caesar was also delicious with the sweetness of fresh romaine lettuce.I didn't really like the pasta or shrimp, but I do recommend the hazelnut gelato.“
“Quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel appreciated. Food has always been great.Vegetarian options: My wife and daughter are vegetarian. Staff is always willing to adjust any meal to accommodate.“
“We have eaten here many times, and the food is always delicious. However, this time we had a reservation and we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. After salad and appetizers it took almost and hour to receive our entrees. We all ordered pasta dishes and they were over priced and very small portions as well. My son ordered the Lobster special pasta and the pasta portion was child size! There was also a 35.00 corkage fee, which is a little high for a restaurant trying not to be pretentious. This experience reminds us of why we don't eat here that often. The food is delicious, which is probably why we will find our way back eventually!“
“Great time here! I loved the food. It really reminds me of the food I had in Italy. My group had the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, the Eggplant Parmigiana, and a Chopped Antipasto Salad. All were so great and fresh! The server was so attentive and when I asked about catering for an event coming up soon, Ryan (one of the managers) came over and spoke with us and helped us out with options. Really happy with this restaurant and experience!!“
“We got two lunch specials... The chicken parmigiana and the eggplant parmigiana. YUM! Both came with spaghetti w/marinara sauce, a garlic knot, cans or fountain drinks (they have every selection) and a delicious fresh COLD salad. Dressing was great. When I got back home 10 minutes later, hot food was piping hot. May seem a little pricey for a lunch special ($16.99 and $15.99) but it's a GREAT deal because after lunch it's $22, no drink (worth it either way.) You get what you pay for. Sauce is excellent - tastes like my Italian Grandma spent hours over the stove. Takes me four or five hours to make a sauce that tastes like that. 10 out of 10. Just a touch of sweetness, exactly the way I love it. The chicken and eggplant and salad were great, seasoned just right. My first time here but I will definitely be back to try the pizza. Other reviewers called it a hole in the wall, but I thought it was very nice and clean with great "pizza place" vibe. Other reviewers didn't like the servers, but mine (young man) was very nice and attentive. So all in all, we got two huge meals, which were actually equal to four meals - all for under $35 including drinks, salad, and rolls. Can't wait to try the pizza!!! Kudos to the owners!“
“What a find this restaurant is! The sandwiches are wonderful. The Greek salad is a favorite. The bread is so fresh and tasty that sometimes we go there just to buy the bread. All their desserts are so good and come in glass containers that you can keep and reuse. The Italian sandwich is a favorite as well as the beef dip. A small is enough for me and my husband with some leftover.“
“This is a cool place to eat. They had love music, more than one bar area. We sat at the "outside" area and since it was cooler, they had plastic down on the sides and infrared heaters going, so it was nice. Had the burger special of the month that was amazing. Great service and drinks too! I highly recommend trying this place out.Parking: Parking can get challenging during peak hours.“
“I've been coming here for over 30 years, if that's possible. Really great staff. The pepperoni pizza is awesome, not too crisp and not too soggy. Had just the right amount of flop and crisp. In New York City we would first fold the narrow tip of the pizza triangle backwards and then fold the slice in half and that's what I'm able to do here. Very generous with the fresh tasting mozzarella and other toppings. Somehow stays piping hot for the five or 10 minute ride home. I always get a roof of the mouth burn because it's so delicious I can't wait for it to cool down!! excellent value especially if you use the coupons. Very consistent, delicious pizza. Thanks, Ameci's!!!“
“This restaurant is a gem. We rediscovered it after a long time away. The service is EXCELLENT! The ambiance is wonderful. You can tell the owner cares about his customers and his staff. The food is delicious! We had the meatball appetizer, various pasta dishes with oil and garlic or basil. Also the eggplant and policastro were yummy. Wine list is well thought out and reasonable. Got to try it! Make a reservation“
“If you're looking for authentic pizza then Ameci is the place to visit! Pizza had fresh toppings, crust on point, and the cheese just melts in your mouth. The only downside is that parking is extremely limited but I promise pizza is worth the compromise and will fill your soul “
“Hands down the best pizza in Thousand Oaks! The staff is fantastic and it smells great when you walk in! Smells like an old school pizzeria! It's clean and inviting, they welcome you like family! I ordered a large pie with pepperoni, sausage and meatballs, a large antipasto & cannolis! All extremely delicious, portions are generous! Will definitely recommend & will absolutely come back! Gracci Mille!“
“The best Marinara sauce I have had on the west coast! So vibrant and full of flavor! Its not scorched! No bitterness from overcooked tomato sauce! Thank you! The chicken Marsala is divine...so smooth. The Chicken Picasa nice and tender. Tiramisu to tempt the tastebuds...superb. Service is spot on and very attentive. Look no further...this is it!“
“So far we have twice been to fattes doing a pickup order, grabbing the 2 large 3 topping pizza deals for just over $30! To be able to feed my family of 7 with quality, fresh made pizza at this price is a diamond in the rough type of situation.Fattes is a small mom and pop type of location, so unless you are a small party or solo, you may be interested in their delivery or pickup options as seating will be limited.Don't let that deter you though, the staff at the front are young but they are quick and courteous taking orders and getting you out the door, making sure to offer you parm and crushed red pepper packets before ya go. Drink options are all canned and bottled from 12 oz. can all the way up to 2 liter with a decent selection to round out your pizza night.New return customer earned! Thanks Fattes!“
“It is very good authentic Italian food. I’ve had a couple of meals here and they both tasted great. However, they don’t have a very large menu and there were only a few things on the menu that sounded good. It’s also one of the few places I go where none of the appetizers sound too appetizing. It’s not that I think the food will taste bad, it just doesn’t excite me and make me interested in ordering it. The staff is very attentive and helpful. It’s a great restaurant, I just wish they had more things in line with my tastes.“
“Wow! Everything was amazing from service to food. Such friendly, attentive and accommodating staff. Very welcoming. The sandwich I had was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had---Ellie's special. And finally, the location and vibe was perfect. Near antique shops and a farmers market.“
“Absolutely amazing place!! The vegan menu is delicious and full of lots of different items like vegan pizza, vegan eggplant parm and vegan bruschettas and many more. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was amazing. We will absolutely be coming back!“
“Took some older ladies from my neighborhood for lunch on a day it was raining. Pizza Cookery had fresh food and marvelous service. In fact when our server found out that 2 of us had birthday’s she gave us a free dessert and we had already paid and we’re getting ready to leave. What a fun day to celebrate there. Needs a little redecorating/update and I had a rough time finding it as it’s stuck in an office park next door to a Hotel. But totally worth the time!! Loved it and will be back. ?Dietary restrictions: Had enough options for my vegetarian diet.“
“There is a new owner who is the son of the first owners, a lovely couple from Italy. The pizza is not only delicious but it's just 7.99 a slice cheese only. Ricardo and his wife work hard and are really bringing in some new tasty items and they've earned my biz!“
“This is the best place to introduce your children to the idea of buying local. This place is the epitome of this is our neighbors business and we want to support it. On top of that they make great food here and a great place to celebrate any kind of win your children have for sports or academics. There is nothing like eating while a cool model train goes around the whole restaurant. The ambience is amazing. The service is awesome.“
“I just recently dined at this hidden gem because a friend (who regularly dines there) suggested it. I say "hidden gem" because the hotel property is obviously a staple in Westlake, as is the very popular Stonehaus, where we'd been hanging out earlier in the day. For some reason, the fine dining spot has always flown under the radar for me. Despite being a very busy weekend night, the hostess/management team was very communicative and nice (even though we didn't have a reservation). We did have to wait for a bit, but it wasn't crazy long...pretty much as expected for a weekend night. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and I tried one of their specialty cocktails while we were waiting for a table. Roberto (bartender) made a flawless old fashioned kinda cocktail. Our server Jen was attentive, knowledgeable and so nice. We took most of her recommendations and they didn't disappoint. I had a salmon sushi app and the branzino - both so good. I'll definitely be back to dine on their gorgeous patio once the weather warms up. Probably gonna be my new fav spot - seriously can't believe I hadn't been before!“
“Wanted some tasty food at a good price for my daughter and I. The server was very positive and enthusiastic, the food was really good. Had an alfredo dish and a carbonara dish after a bunch of salad... loved it. To top or off, for $6, we got a spaghetti dish to go. Though to beat.“
“I ordered two thin margarita pizzas and chicken wings for my son’s sleepover and it was a big smash hit. “He’s a genius “ they said. The pizza is super thin, with exotic pizzas like Bel Air or Getty pizza. Great pasta, salad and beer and wine too. Casual and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend. Family owned. Support a small business.Parking: Spots out front“
“GABRIEL IS THE BEST GENERAL MANAGER I HAVE EVER MET. The incredible enthusiasm he carries and the CARE he has for all of his customers. They’re not even his customers they’re his family. This man deserves a raise. Thank You Gabriel and your team for an amazing experience. I live in Oxnard but this makes me was to drive all the way out here just for the experience.“
“Food is delicious food, and the service is great, but it's just a little pricey for what it is...Dietary restrictions: Easy for dairy & and gluten-freeParking: It's a strip mall, next to a Ralph's so there's plenty of parking“
“This place is amazing, some of the best pizza I’ve had from amicci’s. The inside is updated and looks awesome as well, the owners are awesome people and deserve the support of Simi Valley. I suggest everyone try this place out. You won’t be disappointed.“
“Came in at 3:45p and sat at the bar, super nice bartender, let me order off the dinner menu which didn't technically start until 4, so was happy. Ordered the Stracciatella (sp?) From the mozzarella bar which is grilled ciabatta topped with Fig spread, burrata, and Prosciutto that they formed into roses. Everything was beautiful and delicious ? A new favorite spot!“
“First time I order here was for my daughter birthday party that was being held at Kids World. I have to say that I'm a bit picky when it comes to new places especially when you are feeding others. I order pizzas, salads and wings. It was all delicious. Everyone was saying how great the food was and there were no left overs lol.“
“This is by far my favorite place to grab a slice or a sandwich, hands down. The food, especially the Bomber and cheese pizza, is amazing. The ingredients melt in my mouth and provided a symphony of flavor that is unmatched. The owners, Jessica and Tony, are kind, polite, and professional. They really care about making an impact in the community. What a blessing this business is!“
“Got to together with some work friends. Sat at one of the picnic tables. Pretty cool set-up. Small working vineyard. Cafe style. Cheeseburger was large and juicy. Fries were done right. Pizza was tasty. Non gluten Margherita pizza was delicious. Was a fun place to hang out with people. Fairly crowded on a Sunday. Good place to relax, sample some wine and get a bite to eat.“
“The food quality and service has always been great at this restaurant. However, the menu was very limited. We were pleasantly surprised at last nights visit when we saw that they had expanded the menu. There are now plenty of appetizer and entree options. My son loved the smash burger. The chicken piccata was also excellent as was the steak.“
“Loved this place!! Great food at a very fair price!! Excellent staff. A real asset to Dos Vientos community and Newbury Park. So sorry to hear that they closed. Too bad the new restaurant changed the menu. Maybe they will reopen or another restaurant will open and have a similar menu. There was really nothing like it in Newbury Park.“
“We had a wonderful experience - there was a live band so we couldn't really talk so we just enjoyed it and sang along. Our waiter was very nice but there was a mix up - still, he was kind and got it taken care of. My dinner was really delicious - I got the salmon plate. My husband got gnocchi and wanted a little more flavorful sauce. Still in all we had a wonderful evening!!“
“I go back for food. Reminiscent of corner restaurants where Mafia whacks their rival bosses. No, not a first hand recollection unless watching Godfather movies counts.I really like the cooking. Mondays, the main cook takes a day off. But Mondays are still goodThe wait staff tries, but not very polished.“
“Food was really good. I've been to Italy and Maggiano's little italy and I must say the food was almost as good. The best part it's less expensive also. We went for my sisters bday on a really crowded night but still had a great experience.“
“Very good ? pizza options, all on a thin crust, and several pasta options. They also serve beer and wine, but they have no ice for sodas. Nice to have a good place to go for pizza that is somewhat unique from the standard places. Nice to have this in Moorpark's Target center. We will return.“
