“The cashier recommended the taco platter because i was so overwhelmed by the complete plant based ingredient menu, I didn't know where to start, do I really enjoyed the taco platter with tree variations of the taco ingredients ,all plant based that completely out did any conventional Mexican food i had ever had, and the energy i felt afterwards was great in comparison to wanting to pass out from food coma“
“We LOVE Ethiopian food. Healthy, delicious and fun. We’ve eaten at many Ethiopian restaurants in different cities. Although it’s a shame that SD doesn’t have more Ethiopian food, Lucy is worth the drive from Carlsbad. Injera is great and food is aromatic and well cooked. Highly recommend.“
“My son has celiacs and all pizza tastes like garbage so coming here was literally the best day ever. It’s not like “oh it’s good for gluten free”, it was actually so freaking good. Like all my kids preferred it to the normal crust. I have no idea how they did it but am so dang grateful and excited we found this place!“
“I LOVE this place!!! I have eaten here multiple times, and every single thing I get on the menu is absolutely delicious, being a vegetarian. Sometimes it’s hard to find good food that I can eat out and serve my family. This place is amazing, all of their food is absolutely delicious, their bagels and their pastries are super fresh and delicious. The workers are Friendly and kind!! I highly recommend this place!!!!!Vegetarian options: Amazing!!!!!“
“The food here is so good! I was craving hot and sour soup one day and stumbled across Loving Hut on my Uber Eats app. I ordered their Royal Noodle soup which is not like hit and sour soup at all. Its an amazing slightly spicy and tangy broth with a ton of vegan meats. This soup is definitely a meal by itself! Today I ordered the garlic noodles with extra cha cha's and a cheese wonton appetizer. The sauce that came with the wontons is amazing just a little bit of sweet with a tang but not quite like any sweet and sour sauce I have had before. The garlic noodles were so good! Buttery, garlicky deliciousness! And I don't know what it is about the cha cha's but I could eat a ton of them as still want more! Another nice thing about Loving Hut is that the food is served up quick while still maintaining a wonderful presentation and high quality! I am glad that I decided to give Loving Hut a try some months ago and will continue to happily order from them often!“
“The tuna flower cups were the most insane thing I’ve eaten in a long time. I haven’t had fish in over a decade and so I can’t be trusted really when I say “wow that tastes just like fish!” But my fish eating partner had the same reaction as well. Do not miss that dish! The chicken satay appetizer was also amazing, haven’t had something like that before. Also got the spring rolls and the tangerine chicken dish. The waiter was attentive and really nice, helped us out with our different allergies and restrictions.“
“Still great food but a much smaller menu in their new location. I haven't found a single menu item I wouldn't have again. A variety of vegan food items are available with quick service. The ONLY downside is the LOCATION with a small, cramped parking lot. Narrow parking slots with multiple businesses make parking a serious challenge. Only saw one handicap parking spot available.“
“Wow, let me just say this place is pleasantly surprising in terms of food options, flavor, and quality. I tried this tofu sushi Indian style, and it was delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. I can't wait to go back for the chick pea burger and samosas. I also want to try the mango lassi! I live pretty close by and have gotten so tired of chains like Subway with limited vegan options. I'm glad I can grab something on the go that's fresh and healthy! Also, the owner was very kind which is always a plus!“
“I started going here when they first opened. My then husband & I had date night every friday night & we lived 2 blocks away. There are lots of great places to go in that area but soon Jyoti-Bihanga became our every friday night. We weren't vegetarians but we loved the food and neither one of us was big meat eaters. The food was SO GOOD and we loved that we could walk there & enjoyed the whole vibe,The people and the atmosphere was so nice also. We moved out far out to the back country in east county & still would go on date nights. Sadly we aren't together anymore but I still grab people now & then and say, HEY, you wanna go get some awesome food?? And so we go!! THE best vegetarian food in town!“
“Love this place and the flavor, best Ethiopian Food in San Diego County. Order black injera for gluten free people so you can get 100% teff injera. I have been going here for years and every time I bring friends everyone is so pleased. Grateful for this gem! Their store is amazing as well! You can buy injera and other herbs/spices as well! Cant wait to go here again!“
“Really great all natural fresh smoothies and fruit bowls! Very popular with the locals, I will definitely seek out a location next time I'm in SoCal.No inside seating though. Walk-up window or order ahead. They were making online orders even before their window opening time.Vegetarian options: Mostly vegetarian. Some things with milk and milk alternatives“
“4.5 stars. This is a great fusion of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine. On a Sat afternoon, it wasn't too busy but if the parking lot in front of it is packed, parking could be a problem.I got 3 Shack tacos with gyro, chicken shawarma and the falafel, the shawarma wrap with their spiciest sauces, and a bunch of toppings including the jalapenos, and the side of falafel. The tacos were the best of them all - falafel then gyro then chicken shawarma. The gyro was a little too salty for my liking but the chicken shawarma didn't have enough spice on it, so that's why I preferred the gyro to the shawarma. The falafel was easily the best of them all as the falafel was soft and crunchy and actually complimented the tabouli salad, feta and the tzatziki sauce. The tacos are corn tortillas but they feel a little more like rotis. The wrap was very filling. It wasn't as spicy as I would've liked despite choosing the spiciest sauces and the jalapenos. The side of falafel was very tasty. The falafel wasn't too dry but not too oily.I had initially decided to give them 5 stars. However, I had to downgrade to 4.5 stars because the tortilla and the wrap got really soggy very quickly. So, they fell apart more quickly than I would've liked. The salty gyro and not so spicy chicken shawarma were my other reasons.I loved my whole experience and I will definitely be back to eat more of your shack tacos for sure!“
“I came here for lunch. I had the drunken noodle with chicken and fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. The drunken noodle was really flavorful and fresh. The fresh spring rolls with the peanut sauce was a really nice touch. The peanut sauce is one of the best I've ever had. The waiter was really nice and on top of what we needed. The inside is really clean and the seating is just right. I would highly recommend you come check this place out. I will be back again thank you for taking care of me“
“We stopped at the Old Town Urban Market specifically to try the spot next door but we had to stop in for Elote first! We ordered a few esquites, a loaded potato and a few jarritos. Service was fast and the food was fresh. Decent price for the size. You know this spot is popular because a long line ended up forming behind us and the lady there stayed busy.“
“out of the dozens and dozens of thai restaurants i’ve tried, no doubt that this one is the best ever…the interior is chic, and the service is welcoming and sweet. the food, tbh i was blown away with the first bite. every bite was bursting with flavor and spice. a refreshing side of sweet thai tea was just so amazing? i got drunken noodles, with spice level 6 (which is pretty hot). i cannot emphasize enough how much you shud give this place a try ‼️‼️‼️‼️“
“Great little hidden cafe! Located on the 4th floor inside the civic center (must enter building). Tucked away in the back as you enter the 4th floor. Very decently priced food (best priced food I could find on Google maps for breakfast/lunch in the area) and nice options!“
“We visited Bamboo Fresh Thai Cuisine, and this place fulfilled our craving for Thai food! The ladies were super kind, welcoming, and engaging. We learned about the history of some of their specialty dishes and how the Thai people also eat them. It was hot and sunny, so we had a rich and refreshing Thai Iced Tea to cool us down. We started with the Curry Puffs, which were so pillowy and heavenly. These were definitely made with love! Next, we enjoyed the Som Tum Salad and Pad Thai with Tofu which were flavorful and complemented one another so well. The dishes were all beautifully presented and perfectly balanced between salty, sweet, spicy, and sour. Make sure you try a sweet treat in the end. We had the creamy Tapioca Coconut Milk and it did not disappoint. There were so many dishes on the menu, and we can’t wait to visit again to try them all. The food was delicious, and the staff was simply amazing! If you absolutely love Thai food, this is the place!“
“Centrally located in the food court of Plaza Bonita Mall and by far one of the most popular options there. This make your own bowl stir fried option is delicious and quick. The staff is very friendly and the menu is easy to go by. There's simply 2 options- meat or vegetarian bowl and you can add all the additional multitude of options to your bowl. They have about 8 different sauces as well that include lemon flavor, spicy, oyster sauce, lobster sauce, their special GK sauce and others to add flavor or spice. Once all options are chosen you can see them cook it right in front of you and have it ready in a few minute with you option of rice or noodles. I'd choose the noodles. Plenty of places to sit and eat. Meal is definitely shareable between 2 to 3 people. The only reason I provided this place with a 4 star is that despite the many flavoring sauces, I sometimes still think it lacks a like flavor. I enjoy my food very spicy and add on a lot more hot sauce. Overall, the price of the entree is amazing the the quality and quantity of the food given. Many vegetables and healthy options to choose from as well for those on a healthy diet.“
