“The pad Thai was amazing and very flavorful. We also had pad se ew and that was also good. My husband's biggest complaint was we got an order of sticky rice and it was not sticky rice- it was steamed rice and a big let down when we got home. I'm not saying it broke his heart... but he was pretty upset. But pad Thai and pad se ew was yummy“

“This is my second time coming in with my family. Again, we loved how clean and spaced out the place was. The food was delicious as last time! This time the crab fried rice was not so salty. I appreciate how there is actual crab in the food and makes the flavors more vibrant. We ordered drunken noodles, chicken pad Thai, crab wonton, yellow curry. I tried some new things such as the crab wonton and it's about 5 pieces. In terms of service, I noticed that our server did so much for the restaurant. She took phone call orders, managed take out service, and served tables all at the same time. She mentioned that her restaurant is still new but she did so well multitasking. She was very humble. She did her best to take care of us and was so sweet about not wanting to accept my tip even though she basically managed the place entirely. She mentioned how her staff deserved all the money and I was insistent that she take it too! She may not have been able to take care of us the whole time, but she was always generous about giving us utensils and even listened and conversed with us when she had a million things to do. I hope this business stays for a long time (forever hopefully) knowing that there are good people like her managing this place. Just a suggestion to Palm Thai Cafe: maybe have utensils and napkins out so customers can grab as much as they need! Might help take a load off your busy plate. Thanks again! See you all soon.“

“It is an inviting place, as soon as you walk in the flower hanging over the ceiling. It looks like you are inside of a garden. Waitress was very friendly and she was often checking on us to see if we needed anything. The food was excellent and the portion was good to share with 2 if you want to try different things on the menu. Crab fried rice was a very big portion. Enough for more than 2 people to share.“

“This is probably my favorite restaurant in San Diego. I love Thai food and have never had any this good! Definitely worth the price. My favorites are the Hat Yai Fried Chicken and the Grilled Angus New York Steak (over beef tallow fried rice). “Me and two friends came here a few weeks ago for dinner around 6:30 on a Saturday. There was a little line so we ended up having to wait about 20 minutes to get seated. The restaurant isn't too big but they have plenty of seats. Once seated we were immediately greeted by our friendly server who quickly took our order. I got the basil chicken and Tom yum soup. The soup was honestly lacking in flavor (I think some of the key elements must be non-vegan) but it was still good. I really liked the basil chicken it was so delicious and bursting with flavor. “Fantastic little Thai restaurant in Mission Hills with a great atmosphere. The open-air feel of this place is a huge vibe. With a fun name like "What De Health" (a play on of "hello" in Thai [""] and "what the hell") I knew I had to try it. I loved both the curries my friend and I tried. “Came here for dinner while in town for business. The restaurant is in a great location. The outside looks unassuming, but it's quite big once you walk inside. I tried their Thai fried rice and Thai iced tea. Both tasted pretty good. I wouldn't say it's the best fried rice I've ever had, but it's good enough that I wasn't feeling bad eating that much carbs for my meal lol Service was good if you can get their attention. There were only 2 severs working that night and the restaurant for pretty full later. So I'm not gonna blame them for lack of attention since they're stretched thin. All three items were great, soup was one of the best ones I've had here in SD. My main dish was the Thai beef salad. Lemon grass marinaded beef over lettuce and mixed with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, and green onions. It was tossed is a fish sauce based dressing with chili flakes and I got this a 3 spice level. Again, could have done a higher level. Delicious and refreshing! I would ordered this again. I wanted to keep it light on a work day. Next time I dine here I will order a noodle and rice dish. They have reasonable lunch specials from 11-3pm. Must try!“
