Empanada De Carne

“This is an amazing hole-in-the-wall Cafe. It's run by mom and pop with amazing and tasty pastries. I'm a big fan of their empanadas. They come in beef and chicken. Soooooo yummy and flavorful! The kind lady that runs this Cafe is so so sweet and so welcoming. I've only went twice so far because I was craving empanadas and the place I usually go to ran out, and the kind lady remembered me from just meeting me once. She's so sweet. And everything else is just as amazing. So instead of the other place I usually went to, I'm only going here from now on!!!“

“Well rated Mexican & Guatemalan eatery in a National City strop mall. You could almost miss this place because it looks like a small takeout w a funny name, but it is worth the stop. We had a very healthy Veggie omelet w house potatoes & (buttery) pancake side along w a bowl of Oatmeal & a skillet breakfast. Everything was tasty & delicious. Great salsas too, red & green. Lots of new stuff on the menu that I want to try when I go back!“

“Disclaimer: I am from the east coast and west coast Chinese food does not taste the same to me.I only had their version of the salt & pepper wings and fried rice. Both tasted great. The chicken tasted better and was crispier, to me, than the more popular restaurant frequented by the military. The fried rice was flavorful and a good size for two people to eat.The restaurant was clean but was definitely out dated. Luckily I was there for the food not for interior design.CON: they accept cash only, limited parkingPRO: Good food, seems like a "local secret" so not super busy“

Welldeck Recreation Center Cafe • $

“this place is a nice escape from the barren wasteland of southern wet side NB San Diego, but their food is sooooo underwhelming. my avocado toast was a piece of sourdough bread and like a quarter of an avocado (see pic lol) but if it's this place vs in port galley food then this place takes the win“

“I met a very good childhood friend for breakfast this morning. We are actually trying to do the flavors of San Diego. I have done some extensive research on breakfast and brunch places to go and eat and the Broken Yolk Cafe came up. as a place for us to try. We decided to meet at 9 o'clock and it was the broken yolk café on Plaza Bonita Road. It was actually not in the mall but a separate entrance to the café both from the outside patio or you could walk into the mall to the front doors. It was great to see on arrival that they had outside seating that had an covered patio, so we immediately thought that we would sit outside. The inside was very quaint and looked comfortable, but it was a lot more quieter out in the patio area. It was not even one minute before we were greeted by our server and asked if we would like something to drink, we received our ice waters with lemon with a happy smiling face, and he was quite the character. I already looked at the menu the night before, but I let my friend take a minute to grass all the bountiful different offerings they had we ordered our food. My friend ordered the Betty's breakfast and gravy, and I ordered the two eggs Benedict anyway which means that you can choose from any two of the eggs Benedict that they make to your, they both came with crispy hash-browns And my friends also had fried chicken on top of the gravy and the homemade biscuits. Both plates looked inviting and delicious. It wasn't before we actually were comparing notes on how good the food was. It was incredible., I had the Golden State and the Sopa Benedict's both were equally good. The recommendation for the Golden State was from our server and he was spot on when he said it was his favorite. It will be a place I will frequent and would like to say thank you to the broken yolk Café for a great breakfast time and great food and an excellent server“
