“Just tried this place for the first time and I was highly impressed. I've had spicy tangerine beef at probably 9 different Chinese restaurants and this place was by far superior. We get Chinese food once a week and I feel that you get great value fir your money here. The food was delicious and delivery was fast. I highly recommend this place if you want high quality Chinese food“
“Been eating at Mandarin Bistro since 2019, have never had a single bad experience. Best Chinese food in the 805 by a long-shot. Quality of food is always consistent and flavorful, staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Prices for portion are fair and reasonable especially given the quality of the food.Parking: Great parking, in a shopping center plenty of it.“
“My family and I tried out hunan yuan for dinner. The food was okay. We were unimpressed by the orange chicken, which was a large disappointment. The garlic noodles were really good, the fried rice was just good, and the egg drop soup was great. The honey walnut shrimp was the best part of our meal. There are better local options. I didn’t do a price comparison with other local Chinese restaurants, but if they are lower priced, then they’d be worth it.“
“This new spot serving up Chinese specialties from the Yunnan province quickly climbed my favorite list. First, the cold dishes: steal of the century! Fresh, authentic meats and veggies in generous portions that just taste awesome - seriously, can't go wrong with any of them. The signature noodle dish wasn't the best last time, but this visit it knocked it out of the park! And the chili wontons? Yunnan piles them on with a sweet and spicy, insanely savory sauce that's seriously addictive. Every visit has been more than satisfying when craving good Chinese food in this area.“
“The owners are kind and very involved with insuring their customers get all their questions answered. They take pride in their food and their restaurant.Everything we had was good, fresh, and the portion sizes were great and a good value. One of the best Chinese food restaurants in the area.“
“Was kind of disappointed at Imperial's food. Esp after all of the 5 reviews. We had sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken. The orange was all dark meat that wasn't very tender and not very flavorful sauce. The sw and sour was good meat but not real flavorful either. Soup and tea was nice. And the place is very nicely decorated inside.“
“I'm going to give Chester's a 4.5 . Definitely the decorations are "out of this world" but hey I like it that he doesn't take himself so seriously. It's kinda truly mad, but it is a good mom and pop Chinese restaurant and the beef is so tender. I'm also a fan of the sweet and sour chicken. He's really stepped it up recently with his recipes and flavor and it is again one of the better Chinese restaurants in Ventura County.“
“Holy hidden gem! I’m not from this area, and wasn’t expecting to find a place like this. Let alone expect that it would be this good! The photos is what got me! So i decided to try it!!!Man am I glad I came! Try the spicy wonton, fried green beans, soup dumplings of course! They are very similar to a place most know and love, DTF ;) if you know what I mean. But tastes amazing!!! They got the black vinegar on table with ginger so it’s ready for dipping!“
“Fantastic Asian fusion restaurant. I specifically recommend doing their lunch combos. They come in to go containers which is nice because I always have some leftovers. I highly recommend the blistered green beans and drunken noodles. Everything I’ve tried on their menu is great and if I lived a little closer I’d probably be here more often.“
“I posted this on Yelp as well and I’ll post it here.I've been coming here for years for good reason. The food is always amazing and the loyal staff are the kindest you'll find anywhere! Not to mention that the place was packed but the SPEED OF SERVICE was still exceptional. Downright outstanding restaurant!“
“Nice food. Food arrives straight from the pan. So everything is HOT, and is very tasty. It has a home cooked meal feel, but better. Unfortunately their ac was ether not working, or it could not quite keep up with the heat wave, but it wasn't bad enough to make me leave.“
“Good for the area due to lack of choices in Camarillo. They seem content to be takeout only because the ambience to dine in is not inviting. Suggestion to owners if you want to increase dine in patrons and just make your plce look more appealing - turn on the lights inside, especially the individual booth lights and put up a screen or planter separating the dine in area from the lobby and cash register“
“Food was very good. The gal behind the register was friendly and the flavors were definitely there. We ate Chinese but we simply do not have the energy to make so many dishes and to be honest all the chopping and dicing. Nope!I'm that slightly lazy Asian who will not make Chinese food unless I'm threatened.I think this family is from China as their flavors have a sweetness to it rather than the tart in Taiwan. Still, food was quite good and much closer than Monterey Park/Arcadia.Will be back.“
“Came on a weekday, and it was pleasantly quiet. The beef lomein was a bit greasy, but despite that, they give you a generous amount of meat, and it was so tasty.Funnily enough, I overheard someone on the next table complain a chicken dish had too much meat and not enough vegetables, which seems a bit silly. My partner ordered sweet and sour chicken lunch special that came with rice. It wasn't too sweet or too sour compared to most places in sure it can be adjusted if asked.Overall the price and the amount of food you get was spot on, and the price is as is on the menu which is great if you're not use to the final price hidden behind taxes or gratuity after you get the bill.“
“I thought I wouldn't be able to find a good Asian food spot locally and then I stumbled upon this wonderful place. The food is delicious. Our favorite is the crispy garlic chicken with fried rice. The staff is very friendly and orders are quickly made. Highly recommend!“
“Been coming here for years. It's been under new ownership for a while but not sure how long. New owners have not been as friendly but take this with a grain of salt because I have not been a regular. As of today they are delivery or takeover only. Food tonight was good and there ar new menu items that I noticed that I will try next time. Still, the location has always been tight and never great for eating in anyway. I would recommend but if you want to eat in then go to Mandar Inn.“
“We were looking to get some good quick Chinese take out. We hit a homerun with Hunan Garden. We ordered way too much food but oh well. We get some good leftovers for the next day or so. The customers service was excellent and the food was delicious. We ordered beef fried, chicken with broccoli, chicken with soft noodles, shrimp with lobster sauce, and egg rolls. We would definitely go back to this place again.“
“Best Chinese food in Thousand Oaks - you must order from the Chinese Menu (yes, with English translations).Service is great, owners are A+Place is small and basic, but we find it homely.Be prepared for subtle tastes and not excessive sauce-smothered food.Try the pork stew (belly pork), Taiwan noodles, shrimp with tofu, etc - just try everything from the Chinese menu.“
“My wife and I have lived in Moorpark for over 20 years and have eaten here numerous times. The food is consistently very good and reasonably priced. It has become our go to Chinese restaurant. It is a family owned place and we heartedly suggest giving it a try when you want Chinese food.“
“Thousand Wok has easily become the favorite restaurant for my family and I. They legitimately have the best sushi around. It doesn’t matter what I get, I always end up LOVING it! They gave us so many complimentary dishes including an amazing dessert that was on the house. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and we will be back weekly!“
“We have been coming here for years and get the fried touf and eggplant. It is always cooked fresh for us and is always delicious. We also often get the kungpao chicken and it is equally delicious. One is sweet and one is savory. I feel this restaurant should have much higher than 3.9 stars. Give them a try!“
“We had to wait for some of our food, that's OK because that means it's fresh out of the pan. They bought it to us even though we weren't eating there. I prefer this location even though it's further from my home.Parking: Convenient handicap parking with a ramp.“
“Easily my favorite Chinese food in the area. I go a few times a month and every time I've had excellent service from really friendly people working. They take excellent care of me, helping me get exactly what I want. The fried rice here is so good, and the beef with broccoli, wish I could buy that sauce YUM! they have really good made to order soups too. I love the noodle soup, all the soups have been good though!Friendly staff, delicious food!“
“I am genuinely impressed with this establishment. We came in not expecting much and pretty much ready to walk out if we didn’t like what we see. We stayed. Food was pretty decent. The sushi bar is well stocked and replenished constantly. The stations are clean and constantly checked and wiped. The raw and cooked fish were both pretty decent. Service is a bit spotty and sometimes hard to understand what they say. It’s a bit “lost in translation” but I do give them props for being kind and courteous and making an effort to communicate with us. We will definitely be back.“
“We had a wonderful take- out meal from this Hunan style Chineses restaurant. We enjoyed the hot and sour soup. Sliced roast duck breast was the best I've had in years. It was crispy on the outside and so flavorful. The pork belly with bamboo shoots was cooked to perfection and delicious. Our order had everything we ordered in it, a rare occurrence for us these days. We're looking forward to eating there next time and trying other dishes.“
