“Today got to check out Yogis Grill. Looked good when I was browsing places to eat so I gave them a shot. Did not disappoint. I ordered the garlic butter noodles with beef and rice and also a half order of their crunch roll. The noodles were tasty, rice was nice and sticky, and the beef was fantastic, great teriyaki flavor, I did get a side of their spicy teriyaki sauce and that made it even better. The roll was good, if you need a quick sushi fix, definitely did that. Service was great, cashier was friendly. Inside was nice where I ate, clean with music playing, seems like a pretty popular spot for lunch from what I seen. Would definitely go back. I want to try the yakisoba noodles next time.“

We came around 530pm and had to wait to be seated, but when I explained our seating situation, the host, Natalie, was very accommodating to us as we had a child with a stroller and a family member who was using a wheelchair. This place got packed and we were seated up front near the entrance but also out of the way as to not bother anyone. It was perfect. Once we were seated, she was also kind enough to take the time to explain the menu and how to order. Our waiter, Tu, was also very helpful and considerate towards our family. Other staff came quite frequently to make sure to pick up any empty plates also. The food portions were a lot so if it's your first time, I advise to make your first round light so you can decide if you'll be able to eat more or not. We chose the premium menu and recommend the soft shell crab, squid legs and most of all, the oysters. We all agreed and thought the oysters were the most fresh we've had of all the sushi restaurants we've gone to. Even our drinks felt crisp and delicious. Highly recommend this spot for AYCE sushi! “Food is pretty good, but a few things on the menu didn't measure up to what we hoped for. Overall though, I'd say it's a solid choice to try for anyone venturing out for a new sushi spot. It does take quite a while to get your food though and it is a bit loud and stuffy when it is full. Can be a bit overwhelming if you like a relaxing peaceful meal. The last time we went, they off the order wrong after waiting 30 min. The replacement took another 30 minutes and it ended up coming out in pieces for me to assemble myself. Disappointing. Not sure we will be back, but for a one time thing, it's not too bad.“

What he heard was true! This place was a hidden gem.The first thing that I noticed was that even though it was in a little shopping center, the parking was plentiful and the spaces offered plenty of room. I am always nervous about getting my car scratched in tight spaces and I did not need to worry about that.As we walked in, we were immediately seated. The atmosphere was very nice. It was well lit, which I enjoy because it makes it easier for me to read the menu and see the food. I also enjoyed the fact that it was not loud. We were able to carry on a conversation even though there were many other patrons there. The waitress was always available, yet never hovering.We selected several rolls and my son chose some nigiri. I am not usually a fan of nigiri. I tend to prefer rolls with their toppings and sauces. My son suggested that we share all of the dishes. I agreed, but thought that I would not really like the nigiri. Well, I was wrong. The nigiri at Mutsumi Sushi was AMAZING! I loved the toppings and flavoring on each one. The flavors were subtle, but distinct. I was actually blown away. I will no longer avoid nigiri...at least at this restaurant.I was getting full after our first round of food, but it was so delicious that we ordered more. That was equally as delicious. First order: Edamame (plain, spicy, or both), shishito peppers, spicy tuna with crispy rice, extra ginger and wasabi. Second order: 1 order Tuna, salmon, and yellowtail nigiri, 2 orders of albacore(each order of nigiri usually comes in 2 pieces so keep this in mind), and a spicy tuna roll. Third order: Roasted jalapeño role, lemon role, creamy Langostino roll, albacore lovers role, and got sushi role.“

I wasn’t a fan of the salmon skin either. We ordered a ton of nigiri which was great and so little rice compared to other places. Lots of appetizers included as well. I was pleasantly surprised that the beef teriyaki was actually tender and not well done. The baked muscles weren’t anything to rave about, but still okay. I would go again when in the area.“

My first impression was it was a nice looking restaurant, well laid out and sharp. Not that it matters much to the taste of the food but it does show the owners are serious about their business when a place looks nice. Our serve Maya was efficient and welcoming so that added to the positive vibe. We didn't order much, we shared a Sushi Combo plate and a Rainbow Roll but it was enough to feed us both. The fish was fresh and the shrimp was sweet. So often the shrimp taste dull in other establishments so it was nice to have something fresh and sweet. Lately there seem to be few good Sushi Chefs left in the Santa Clarita valley. Pick up the average roll and dunk it in Soy Sauce and half the Rice falls into the sauce plate. NOT here. It was like the old days when people knew how to roll a good roll and used the right rise so it hung together until you ate it. Yes we will return.“

Both were very good! For the main meal, we ordered Lemon Chicken and brown rice. We also optioned for the addition of soup and salad for an additional $6. Hubby ate the soup while I had the salad. Both were very good. The main dish portion was huge and, even with sharing the main dish, we had leftovers. For me, I found the Lemon Chicken dry even with the sauce. I would have preferred a more traditional chinese dish with veggies but, based on the menu, options were limited for a dish with veggies. We probably should have ordered a veggie dish and maybe added chicken.Would I go again. I don't think I would go for the full meal but I would consider going for Happy Hour. Management needs to lose the plastic signage with the QR code menu from every table...cheapens the experience, acts as a visual/physical barrier, unnecessarily taking up room in the table, just another advertising mechanism almost like a billboard on my table. Management needs to remove all of the items from on top of the sushi bar. Looks terrible. Another barricade of clutter. Containers, shrink wrap...looks unprofessional, unsophisticated, cheap, lazy, like a bunch of hoarding. Lines of sight should be clean, not littered. Chefs that are enjoying their water/beverage should refrain from wiping their mouth on the back of their hand when done sipping. Hostesses that are busy organizing napkins/utensils/whatever should not be telling customers to wait a few minutes while hostess finishes what she is doing, she should stop immediately and take care of customers. Was nice meeting our server Ryan on our 4/21/24 visit. Positive attitude, attentive and got our entire order completed correctly and promptly. Too many menus. Kabuki needs to clean it up and get back to its roots.“
