This year (2024) the dining room has a new chef, and some new decor, and it is incredible! Hands down one of the best restaurants in the Tahoe area. Unique menu, we had dinner and then came back for breakfast and ate eggs benedict with short ribs. The even have an in house espresso bar. It's best to go if you're staying in the hotel, at one of the homes, or enjoying a nice day at the resort, since you do have to take a gondola or walk in. The hummus plater was delicious as was the arugula and little gem salads. The flourless chocolate cake was a true delight for capping off a great meal. Service from Ella was exemplary as usual.

The Lodge staff has really hit their stride and the extra half dozen feet did the base (and the length of the season) good. The chef and his sous are on fire. We finally have a regular order after a few runs through the menu: Steelhead Duck l'Orange Steak Tartare Carrot harissa salad And the Sticky (Toffee) Pudding But we will continue to come here for the service and the people. Special shout out to Brandon, Joseph, Rosa, Jefferson.
