“Las Islitas offers dishes that are fresh and flavorful, and the portions are generous. The ambiance is casual and inviting, perfect for a laid-back meal with friends or family. Overall, Las Islitas is a great spot to satisfy your seafood cravings!“
“I have not been in this restaurant before, and on my experience for the first time I've been there it was great..On drive thru it was my first time and the gentleman that got my order it was answering all my questions and helping me where to look for the items and comes with e combo plate..Thanks.“
“Most dishes were outstanding! And the personalized touch for our anniversary was lovely The quail appetizer was more breading than quail. My scallops were a tad too rare despite best efforts on the second attempt. We enjoy the creativity of the chef and appreciate the staff's commitment to fine dining which is lacking in most other Sacramento restaurants.“
“Great experience at this restaurant. Yummy food that is beautifully plated, attentive, and friendly staff earned 5 stars from me. We had the braised pork shank that was so tender it fell off the bone! Also enjoyed the Mussels and shrimp Piccata. The lamb meatball appetizer was a bit dry, but the flavor was great. Otherwise, our meal was wonderful. I'm looking forward to returning to try more dishes!Parking: Right next door“
“Probably the best sushi you'll get for this price point in the area! They have decent service and plenty of tables to accommodate larger parties or to seat many parties. We ordered the sashimi 18 pc, double toro roll, hamachi kama, and lychee cocktail. The 18 pc was worth it as you get some fish that you generally wouldn't get at other restaurants, and the double toro had some caviar on top which was a very nice surprise. The fish were fatty and fresh! The hamachi kama was great, it felt like it was never ending when we dug for more and more meat, and it was lightly seasoned which was nice.We would come back, it's especially great for residents in the area!“
“We had not been here in awhile so we decided to try Chicha again and what a great surprise!! The food was delicious and had the taste my wife was looking for and she being Peruvian knows very well the meaning of that. If you love Peruvian food I highly recommend you head over here and check it out. The owners and staff made sure the experience was a fantastic one. They are opening a second Chicha in Midtown at the end of March. Excellent Restaurant.“
“Found the place on Yelp. I try to find places that have Mexican shrimp cocktails, in hopes they have campechana which just adds octopus. Top marks for their campechana here! It has more kick than most, so I really like it. The hostess was very helpful when I custom designed a dish to try to hit keto, on a different day. So I ate here four meals in three days on a business trip. I took a road trip during the week and had shrimp cocktail an hour up the road… This one is way better. I would look forward to coming back here for the food.Dietary restrictions: Hostess readily customized a dish for my keto request“
“The food is soooo good!I got chicken tikka masala with saffron basmati rice and garlic naan. The amount of garlic on that soft naan is any garlic lovers dream. Flavorful even on its own but of course taste even better with some chicken tikka masala. The chicken tikka is done so well too. The sauce is thiccccc and the flavor is just chefs kiss! Good amount of chicken in there and tender.Service is welcoming and friendly. I talked to a staff briefly when I picked up my food. She is incredibly nice.I did take out but took a picture of the beautiful environment. Love the decor and colors. I hope todine in one day.“
“I recently dined at El Tapatio Mexican restaurant, and the experience was truly delightful. The atmosphere was wonderful, creating a warm and inviting vibe. The staff exhibited professionalism and warmth throughout our visit, enhancing the overall dining experience. The food was great. The menu offered a variety of options, and each dish we tried was a great. The cucumber Margaritas were a standout, a refreshing twist to the classic cocktail. One notable feature was the television screens in the bar area, providing an excellent opportunity to catch up on sporting events while enjoying the meal. What stood out was the lack of wait at the bar, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.Considering the fantastic food, inviting atmosphere, and the added bonus of a lively bar area with multiple screens, I believe El Tapatio would be an excellent choice for hosting family from out of town. The combination of a yummy meal and a fun, upbeat environment makes it a nice option for those seeking both tasty food and a vibrant dining experience. The bartender told me about live music every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5-8pm. We will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Lots of options I did not take the time to write out each and everyone but I was fully satisfied as a person that was raised vegetarian and I'm 54 now.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Folsom palace is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in the entire greater Sacramento area. We got the BBQ pork buns, lo mien noodle, and Szechuan beef (pictured). They all tasted like homemade Chinese dishes, bursting with flavors from different regions of China. The dishes are huge and are meant to be shared with others so bring your appetite and 16 people. I was sad to discover that this place was not actually a palace, but it still looked nice inside. The staff were super friendly and were running around like crazy. They served us and the palace well. I didn’t realize they have three locations (palaces?), but this one was rated the highest. I’ll be back!Vegetarian options: There’s vegetable noodles. You can also have some rice with vegetables“
“We had a great dinner this last Saturday night. First, we were seated in a comfy, centrally located booth in the dining room. The food was delicious. Their bread service is excellent! It's so tasty. My wife and I both started with the onion and leek soup. Their French onion is a good one. Next, I had the 8oz. filet Mignon with the truffle butter and red wine sauce. It was perfectly prepared to my requested medium rare. For a side, I went with the loaded baked potato. It was huge! It was baked perfectly, though it would have benefited by being salt crusted, rather than plain. My wife just had a house salad, which she enjoyed. Excellent selection of wines by the glass. Service was professional, attentive, and friendly.“
“We enjoyed ourself at the Oyster Bar. Our waiters were super attentive, Alvina gave great recommendations & made sure our needs were met. We will be visiting again soon!Parking: Accessible parkingKid-friendliness: Great music & friendly atmosphere“
“Preaching to the choir for all of you regulars, the food here is delicious. For those of you, the never ate here and are curious be assured you will be well fed for a pittance. This is good quality cheap eats. Ate seated in the covered patio. It's basic. Family friendly. You don't want to bring a first date here if you plan to impress the person with your impeccable style and taste. But if your date is a foodie, just come, no need to dress up fancy. Bambie had the ahi tacos. I had the Oaxacan green mole' with chicken plate. Fresh and flavorful, plentiful, plated pretty. With one beer this feast cost all of $40. Had food left after I was stuffed for take home snack tonight. Family owned, friendly folks, casual. Recommended!“
“All I can say is yum, yum, YUM!!! Favorite was pan fried juicy pork bun. Second favorite was spicy pork soup dumpling (pork xiao long bao). Third place is the steamed chicken dumpling, it was less flavorful than the others, but still delicious! We ordered two more rounds of the pan fried buns because 6 was just not enough when they are so delicious! My husband also LOVES the popcorn chicken. We ordered it non spicy for the kiddo and she enjoyed it. Spicy for us. Lightly breaded and full of flavor. It's so nice to have a dumpling place nearby! It has been almost 10 years since I had a good dumpling. So good that we returned later that week!! Small place, very cute, get there early because there tends to be a wait!“
“Just discovered this hole in the wall! Every dish Delicious! NEW FAVORITE BEEF CHOW FUN!! salt and pepper spare ribs amazing! Mongolian beef is tasty and spicy, different and great. friendly and fast service and staff Love having a great local Chinese spot in the neighborhood“
“All I got to say is .I recommend this place to eat ?. I love the fish and chips. And the rest of the menu. You got to see for yourself. So go check this place out. you will not be disappointed. I guarantee you.Family and friends you'll love it. ??.“
“Lunch, 12:30-2:00. Very polite service. Don't think of this as together with Mexican, come in for their lunch buffet to try a lot of new things. Also try the chicha morada drink, it's like a fruit punch.Kid-friendliness: Crayons and coloring, kids menus, the usual.“
“H salt fish and chips is the best place downtown to get a meal they're great I give them 100% they got the best fish and chips there and zucchini and catfish and onion rings oh my God they're to die for Love you h salt fish and chips ???????“
“I really enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere and service. Their pho broth was very good, far exceeded my expectations. I also loved their cocktail program.I was a little disappointed in the lack of gluten free options especially for a Vietnamese fusion restaurant. They use soy sauce in a lot of their marinades. It would be an easy substitution to use gf tamari, that wouldn't change the flavor but would make more dishes accessible for gf folks.Other than that, I was very happy with my meal and also my server was very patient and knowledgeable about gluten and helped me find something I could enjoy.“
“Quite solid for the area. Caesar split was more than enough. Two 8 oz filets with strong sides. Decent wines (I had the Faust). It's not Mastros but it's not priced like that either. Cool small desserts (key lime was the best) so you could try a few.“
“Four of us enjoyed a wonderful experience last night at Moxie. From the crab appetizer to the mouthwatering desserts, the evening was fantastic. The host, the service, the generous portions of food, and the atmosphere were glorious! The presentation of each course was amazingly prepared. If you want a special night out, Moxie is the place to go!Parking: Going early there was no problem on the street near the restaurant.“
“When I used to live down here in the Sac area, I used to have fish and chips all the time, but now I live way up in the north end of the valley and we don't have many places that are dedicated fish and chips restaurants. Tugboat is a small chain in the Sac area and has some of the best fish and chips around. The prices have gone up some since I last ate here. I got a 3 piece fish and chips order for around $15. Gone are the days of the $8.00 3 piece order! The fish was hot and crispy like I remembered .Not really greasy at all. I like to come get fish and chips when I visit the area now. I'll be beck!“
“Hosted a birthday party in their banquet room for 14 guests and it was a fabulous experience! I highly recommend Piatti’s if you’re looking for delicious food, excellent service and wanting a private room for a celebration. Our family and friends loved everything about it and the planning process was such an easy experience. In fact, the banquet manager was super helpful and communicative since the day I called to book the reservation. Would absolutely go back for the fresh pasta, ambience and/or to host another celebration.“
“For the price we paid, it was a great value. Service was also prompt, and they constantly checked in on us, to make sure we were satisfied. We did the AYCE option at lunch, and it was tremendous value. I was super hungry, and it was a great way to make my stomach happy. I enjoyed everything I tried and ordered, and really can't complain about the AYCE experience. At other places, it can be soured by waiting too long to be acknowledged by the staff, but food and drink was constantly being replenished. The food was solid. Because the staff kept coming back and back to our table, we had the privilege of eating the dishes as they immediately came out of the kitchen, adding to the experience. We didn't have to order a ton, and then some of the dishes sat on the table until we got to them. I really had a good time here and got my money's worth. If you're looking for a good value for the price you paid, I'd recommend this place. For that reason (value for money), it gets a 5, especially at the lower lunch time price point.“
“Was there with several of my girl friends today and had the most wonderful Chinese lunch! We had the egg drop soup, sesame chicken, sweet & sour pork, stir fried beef, pork pot stickers, bokchoy with 2kinds of mushrooms, walnut shrimp, fried rice, fried chowmein, stir fried white fish with veggies, and fried mini buns with red bean paste. Everything was very authentic Chinese food, meaning it wasn't "Americanized" in my opinion. The sweet & sour pork was not fluorescent red in color nor artificially sweet and the pork was crispy on the outside and tender in the inside and very tasty! Nothing seemed "heavy" with the thick layer of coating. All the vegetables were cooked right, not being almost raw, but just right. Plus the vegetables were very fresh! Highly recommend China House!“
“Mikuni is a sushi lover's paradise! With its creative and flavorful rolls, fresh sashimi, and vibrant atmosphere, every visit is a culinary adventure. The menu offers a wide variety of options to satisfy all tastes, and the skilled chefs always impress with their attention to detail. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or new to Japanese cuisine, Mikuni is a must-visit destination for an unforgettable dining experience.“
“My wife and I always order the sashimi platter. The seafood is always so fresh. The rolls we had were also wonderful. The food has always been great. I want to give huge props to our server, Nomi! She was outstanding! Very kind and quick with suggestions when asking what we wanted. She made my granddaughters 16th birthday wonderful! Thank you Nomi!“
“Took myself to lunch for my birthday waitress was nice and helpful and when I boxed up my soup she filled it for me which was nice. Food was very yummyParking: Lots of parkingKid-friendliness: Kids where there and in high chairsWheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp“
“We love to dine in here, the food is fresh and tastes delicious, even the chips & salsa are tasty, the family atmosphere makes you feel like you’re eating a homemade meal made with love. We seem to come at least twice a month if not more, we highly recommend. “
“The staff are all wonderful. I love the options on their new Vegan menu. All of the dishes in my group from their regular menu smelled great and looked awesome.Vegetarian options: They offer a full page of vegan options and the staff were extremely helpful.“
“Good food and VERY good service! I must have gotten up 5-6 times asking for things and they never once lost their cool with me. If I had cash on me I would have left a tip!! I got the fried fish and shrimp combo and it was so good. I had to exchange the street corn for beans (which were good) because the corn was too spicy but they didn't get mad they just exchanged it. I upgraded to the sweet potato fries and they were good too. I will go back and get the shrimp again!!! I like their tartar sauce too, it's wasn't too sweet and not too much dill.“
“ Enjoyed our Sunday lunch ? Got the biggest baskets and were happy with it. Kids got their food, and adults had their food. Everyone was happy.Clean, friendly, easy to communicate with the stuff, all together we liked it.P.S. BATHROOMS ARE CLEAN ?“
“We had a bad experience our first time there but instead of relying on their reputation & writing us off as customers, the manager personally reached out to me & asked me to give them another chance. I've given them 3 more chances and they have not disappointed. Each time, my son tells me it is the best steak he's ever had. We also love the lobster mac & cheese, other appetizers, the fish entrees, & even the bread. Ambience & service are top notch.“
“Nestled in the heart of Sacramento, this hidden gem of a restaurant has consistently stolen our hearts with its exceptional offerings. Boasting a seasonal menu that celebrates the freshest farm-to-fork ingredients, each visit is a delightful journey through the finest flavors. The culinary team's prowess shines through in every dish, but the standout for me has to be the seasonal scallops over risotto. The innovative twist of changing the risotto with each season adds an element of surprise, making it a tough task to choose a favorite. Yet, somehow, each rendition manages to surpass the previous, leaving a lasting impression of culinary excellence. The intimate ambiance of the restaurant sets the perfect stage for a romantic evening. Dim lighting, cozy corners, and window view create an atmosphere that's both sophisticated and inviting. It's no wonder that this has become our go-to choice for elevated date nights. Moreover, when we have guests in town, it's the first place we want to showcase - a testament to the restaurant's universal appeal. What truly sets this establishment apart is the extraordinary service. The warm welcome from the moment we step through the door, orchestrated by the owner and his attentive staff, is unparalleled. The personal touch, as the owner takes the time to walk through and greet each table, adds a special charm. It's this level of commitment to customer experience that transforms a meal into an unforgettable dining event. In a city filled with dining options, this restaurant stands out not only for its delectable cuisine but also for the complete experience it offers. For those seeking a perfect blend of seasonal delicious cuisine, intimate ambiance, and impeccable service, this culinary haven remains unmatched. Each visit feels like a celebration, making it a top choice for creating lasting memories.“
“Been here numerous times and have always got great food , I'm very lucky to live close by because they never disappoint. My kids love eating here , daughter loves the shrimp ceviche, I always ho for the fried tilapia or carne asada plate . They are a little pricey but like I said they have a really nice place , always clean! Restrooms are always super clean , dining outside is nice with the heaters over your table ! You wont regret eating at this place . Thanks for keeping this place top notch ?.“
“Fantastic!! The food was fresh, served hot and so tasty. We shared between us the catfish, shrimp & sticky fried ribs. Everything was delicious. The yams literally melt in your mouth. My sister had the greens & she said they were seasoned perfectly. We both agreed the gravy on the rice was a little spicy but my bro 'n law loved it. This is now my go to spot in Sacramento.Parking: Not many spaces available for parking on the side streets.“
“This is hands down one of my favorite places to eat. I haven't eaten here in years and it was still amazing. My favorite is the chicken salad, that with some fried rice is a great quick dinner. I used to eat here once a week when I lived across the street. I'm glad to see that it's still around and just as good.“
“We ate at their downtown location on a Saturday. Parking was hard to find since there was an event nearby. Service was quick. Interior was clean and modern. We were waiting for our party to join us but they ended up at their Natomas location. We had quail (a bit over done, meat was dry), green papaya salad (delicious), and scallops (a bit spicy for me, who can't handle any heat).“
“We ate at their Eureka location. Busy Friday night, waited 40 minutes for a table. When this place gets busy, it's loud. They could use additional soft materials or sound absorbing panels. Once we were seated (party of 7) service was good. Ordered a number of platters, sashimi appetizers, hamachi collars, and extra pickled wasabi. Fish is always fresh and presentation appetizing.“
“Been here twice now, I dined in once and did takeaway the other. Both times the food and service have been excellent. I got the massaman curry with chicken as I'm a creature of habit. Also both times I've been here it hasn't been busy. Show this place some love, it's worth the trip.“
“The food is great, the flavors are on point. The wait to be seated is reasonable and expected during the weekends; however the wait time after being seated is very long even when there are not that many people. I would suggest take out instead of dine in.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu and the atmosphere is appropriate for children/families.“
“Delicious Cantonese/southern Chinese seafood and dim sum restaurant. More upscale and thus more expensive than other equally delicious local alternatives. Food: Dim sum dishes - 4/5 - very good but not exceptional; also relatively overpriced /more bougey. Dim sum is to be ordered hot and fresh from the menu House/wor vs regular wonton soup - 4.5/5 - wonton with other protein variety which overall was very good, but I've definitely have had better wontons House combination fried rice - 5/5 - one of the best Salted egg shrimp and pumpkin - 5/5 - just delicious! A favorite that you must try! Lobster, salted egg style - 5/5 - this style surprisingly works really well for seafood and personally tastes as good as the scallion(green onion) and ginger, my previous favorite lobster style Walnut shrimp - 5/5 - very delicious crispy fried covered sweet mayonnaise and walnuts Black pepper chicken - 4/5 - pretty good Rainbow chicken - 5/5 - excellent taste and aesthetics Seafood satay rice noodle in clay pot - 5/5 - delicious seasoned/sauteed glass noodle with seafood Yue huang vs seafood pan fried noodle - 5/5 - excellent version of a classic Chinese country style rice noodle - 5/5 - delicious stir fry of glass noodle with sautéed protein Yue huang chow fun dry - 5/5 - another fantastic version of a classic wide rice noodle dish Beef chow fun dry - 5/5 - love this w Seafood chow fun with egg wet - 5/5 - if you love seafood + egg + chow fun rice noodle Ambience: Large spacious dining area featuring beautiful Chinese traditional art Service: Fast and friendly“
“I ordered take out. I ordered 2 pieces of fish with chips. The fish is so good. The pieces are big. I couldnt finish my second piece. The chips are just right...not too skinny not to large. Worth the 12$ for the amout of food you get cause it filled me up. It is definetly one of my favorite places to eat.“
“Update 2/23/2024I am a little disturbed as they added kiosk order(now forced), however there was an employee liaison assisting people who may have trouble. My outlook on kiosks:*People take this as "Do it yourself as we are either not staffed to do this or other things are more important than you".*I don't see this as service oriented.*Menu is fragmented on a screen and buttons all over which makes it tough to order for most.*McDonald's has kiosks, but nobody uses them.Example: 70+ lady walks up and tries to order. She has issues and has a ton of questions, this takes time. In the meantime you have a line backed up plus another user at the same time, with kiosk issues. Now what you have is a problem. Another one of your employees needs to be brought over to help now. Now everything is backed up.I know what the answer will be from your establishment. " We have backup, we will then take order manually"I get it, less employees brings more money to the budget, but in the long run it will not as service to customers is compromised and a reputation will prevail in the long run.I did kindly ask the manager why kiosks. She replied and we spoke. What dates out to me about that conversation is that her words were "People don't want to work for $20 per hour". Strange comment. Oh well. I have given up going there. Done with coaching.Let's get back to good ole excellent customer service. Bring that vision back. This is sorely needed.End of latest update-------------------------------------Great place, great service. Most "Most of the employees" are great.Bring the salsa bar back please.Fish is always consistent and fair prices. Gourmet food for less and a ton of options.Good job California Fish Grill!“
“Great fish and chips for no meat Fridays. Locally owned. Been around for a long time. Offers wine as well while waiting for your food. Good value for your money. Waitress can get refills for water, tarter sauce. And ketchup. Thanks.Parking: Lots of parking available.“
“Had a nice experience..Big portions even on the mini tacos..fresh chips and different salsa selections.Mild to really spicy making it easy to enjoy the spice level..clean ..lil gem in the area...place was warmed up by outdoor heater with plenty of ventilation has owner is getting the heater fixed.“
“We had a tribute dinner to toast my recently deceased father in the private room and it was perfect! We'd like to thank the staff who did such an amazing job for the kind of dinner we had. The food was fabulous, everyone - vegetarians, seafood lovers alike loved their meals. Some of our favorites- Calamari - "best we've ever had" Bread - "I could eat just this amazing bread for dinner" Crème Brûlée - our dads favorite dessert and it was sooo good - Meatballs - "Perfect" Thank you! Delicious and memorable!“
“This place is SO good!!! The fish is fried to perfection, NOT overly salty, and this is exactly what I’ve been looking for in Sacramento!! I hate that it took me so long to find this place, but better late than never! I go get fish here about 2-3x a week now ❤️“
“Get your Casa Tulum experience before everyone else finds out. There’s no keeping this a best-kept secret—not with its simmering green pozole that can cure any ailment, nor its cochinita pibil, which hits all the right spots. The mole enchiladas may be the best in Northern California; those who crave a taste of Mexico City and East LA will not be disappointed.“
“I tried this place for the first time recently, and on the recommendation of a friend. The tacos are awesome and the salsa bar was very good. When I was there the music was loud inside, but I don't think that's normal, I think they were just enjoying it. We sat outside, which was pleasant and quieter.“
