I wouldn't recommend it for the barbecue. I've had the food only the one time and perhaps the meat supplier was having a bad day or something, but we ordered a rack of ribs and there was equally as much fat as meat. They were smothered in a bright red sauce which didn't bode well as it tasted like what it looked like ... ketchup. Luckily we rinsed it off and used some Stubbs I always have on hand. I really am torn about the review on this restaurant...I want to give it 5 stats because the food is AMAZING!! "I had the brisket, the 4 piece chicken and kale greens" I know what you're thinking...."kale greens?!?! Don't you mean collard greens"? NOPE kale greens....and they are DELICIOUS!! Another fantastic soul food restaurant in the SFV! The food is always cooked fresh and servings are generous. The chicken keeps us coming back! The gumbo is hearty and flavorful and their beans are perfect. It is located on a busy Main Street corner, but they have a little parking lot right next to their building on Carmarillo St. Also, there is street parking on Vineland Ave, but keep an eye out on the signs.
