“Obsessed with the vibe of this place! It is relatively new and feels that way for sure. The lighting is moody and aesthetic and the whole dining layout is visually interesting. I like how there are also tables of all sizes to accommodate various parties. If you have been to Granville in Burbank which is nice already, this location feels classier and fancier.The food (especially the artisan bread and butter) is delicious. I appreciated how easily customizable the meals were. I swapped brussel sprouts with my steak for a salad and my friend swapped one of her sides as well with no grief.They also have a nice happy hour menu, not a lot of variety there but reasonable price cuts. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the service was a little slow but everyone was friendly and helpful. It isn’t a huge restaurant because although it is two stories, the second floor has a huge opening to enjoy the alcohol/light feature. My party made a reservation and it worked out great. We got there early and got drinks at the bar until our table was ready and easily relocated.If you want to go out to a fun and tasty spot, I recommend this place!Parking: Valet is $8 - otherwise you have to look for street parking and hope for the best.”
“Unbelievably good food. I had the Memphis style pork rib meal. The dry rub is perfect and delicious. Add the occasion dip of their homemade BBQ sauce for more perfection. The beans were homemade and had a light smoke flavor with some meat in it. The potato salad was unique and delicious as well. They take real pride in their food as they should. “Came here for dinner with the boyfriend & pup. It was a chilly night and we were seated on the patio bc the dog was with us, but the heaters kept us perfectly warm (I'm always cold & was concerned about that ). The food is southern comfort, but not so heavy. I had the chicken pot pie. It was creamy but also kind of light, and had plenty of chicken & veggies to fill me up! My partner went with the chicken fried chicken. He ate it all and was very satisfied! Good for brunch or dinner with family, friends & pups :)”

“Great location, prices are higher than other locations. But I am not surprised since this one is in Hollywood. Food was hot and fresh. I fell in love with cheba hut when I lived in New Mexico for a while. Moved to the Bay Area and realized there was none near by. Took a little weekend trip to LA and discovered this location and was very happy. Service was great too, staff were so kind. They even brought out an extra tuna melt they made and offered it to my table which was so sweet. I will definitely be stopping by when I come to LA again!”

WOW the flavors of all their dishes are something I'm still trying to describe with more words than delicious and amazing. Soups? Great Apps? Great Curry? Great Service? Great Everything is made fresh and it shows, the taste and the flavors comfort you in a special way regardless of the dish or side you get. Hands down the best Thai food I've had in over a decade!”

As we drove up we witnessed customers eating on their vehicles, so when in Rome do as the Romans. I haven’t eaten on a car since my teenage years, and there I stood at 60 being the old wild one of the bunch. Excellent food, a must try for both residents & travelers!!!”

“Although I’m writing this review for this location, this is just my review for The Stand as a restaurant overall. That said:This place is great. Their burgers aren’t world class or anything, but they’re a far cry better than any fast food joint not named In N Out (and even then I’m debating if The Stand burgers are better). Fries are crisp, seasoned well, and the entire meal comes in an adorable little tray. The hospitality is also something to take note of. Soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a TM with, “Hi! Welcome in.” That by itself shows this place treats you not as a customer but as a guest. This is the Mendocino Farms of burger joints in my opinion. Nice sit down place with a number placard. They deliver your food. Everything is a la carte so it will be a tad expensive if you want the full shebang of entree, side, and drink. But for what you’re paying for, the food is for sure worth it and they do ensure guest satisfaction here. No need to bus your table because they’ll do it for you. They even have a sign that literally asks you not to clear off your table and just let a TM handle it. Great music selection. TVs provide something to look at and watch while you wait for your food or eat. A large menu. From steak bowls to salads to sandwiches to burgers with a build your own burger option. Even the desserts are just something to really sink your teeth into. I don’t frequent The Stand a lot but whenever I do, it’s pretty great. Great food for the price you pay, best customer service, and just an overall pleasant vibe. For The Stand in general…Grade: A-”

“I've driven past this cafe so many times and didn't even realize that there was a hidden gem there! Came in for lunch and was greeted by a sweet woman who took my order. It's definitely a mom and pops joint so you'll feel right at home immediately. I ordered the chicken shawarma with salad and the chicken didn't disappoint! It was tender and flavorful, just what I needed to satisfy my appetite. I do have to say that it's a small spot so there is no restrooms available for customers but if you're getting your car washed, you can use the one there and walk over.”

I tend to crave a run for the border in the evening hours, but recently went late (last Saturday night) and it's impressive how on top of it and friendly that crew is for such a late hour dealing with customers who are probably not at their highest-functioning capacity if you know what I mean.Regardless of the hour, this Taco Bell has never gotten my order wrong, and I tend to order a wide variety of menu items at once so it can't be the easiest to track and fulfill. They always get it right and give me plenty of sauce packets. “I had scoured Yelp for some exceptional smoked fish in the greater Los Angeles area and I came across the seven seas smoke house. I wanted to get more variety of smoked fish and this was definitely the right place! Parking was very easy as there was lots of street parking. I did not have to wait to be helped and the cashier was helpful in suggesting what to order. I bought their in-house cold smoked sliced sturgeon, in-house lox, packaged cold smoked salmon jerky sticks, and packaged cold smoked salmon belly. The prices were all very reasonable and the quality was excellent. We had the fish with bagels and cream cheese and you can really taste the smokey flavor. If you want a unique choice of smoked fish this place has some quality choices and I highly recommend.”

When it comes to the best salmon in SoCal two other contenders, Bacari PDR and Hyatt Regency San Diego, immediately come to mind but, the portions are smaller and their cost is way higher. Plus, they don't have a sauce that comes close to this perfectly understated lemon burre blanc that seems to eccentuate the ample cuts that comes in an order from Friar Cafe. It's not just the sauce that's good, no. I've tried the salmon without the sauce on it, yes, it tastes heavenly on its own. The salmon is always perfectly seared with a crusty top, a tender, juicy middle, and each bite is just full of flavor. The best part is the skin. It has a crispy texture that remains true even when drenched in the blanc sauce. They could sell the skin alone as an appetizer and I wouldn't even be mad. Speaking of sides. It comes with Brussels' sprouts, asparagus, and scallop potatoes. I also went ahead and got a delicious cucumber salad to go with it. I'm sad that I finished eating it. Every savory bite was better than the last. I look forward to my next order. I'm gonna take a nap.”

I ordered online, but unfortunately, my order didn't transmit. They took my receipt and saw I had placed an order at this location. They made my order right away. I did email a link to the transaction and a screenshot of the receipt because I paid online and left a tip, and I want them to get their money. ? I first ate a hushpuppy, which was so good.
