“Having eaten there many years ago, I took a couple of friends for a special b'day dinner...boriqua style! Even though we had to wait for our table (we had a rez), we spent time talking out on their sidewalk patio. Once seated, I explained the background of traditional PR dishes (being puertoriqueño myself) and made recommendations for appetizers and main course. They were blown away by the flavors and variety! Having grown up in PR and ar, the authenticity of spices, recipes and menu items is why I love this small place!“
“I wish it was possible to give this place higher than 5 stars. We had such an incredible dinner during our weekend trip to LA.First off; the atmosphere is awesome. The open dining room, along with the lighting and music make the perfect setup for a fun/modern environment. We started off with cocktails and both really enjoyed them. For appetizers we chose the pork belly sliders based off of reviews online. I personally wasn’t blow away by them, but my girlfriend really enjoyed them. We also decided to share the truffle flatbread and WOW. This was quite easily the best part of the meal. The dough was perfect and the truffle sauce on top was incredible. Do yourself a favor and order this! For the entrees; we both opted for one of the pasta dishes. Sticking with the same theme my girlfriend got the truffle pasta. She absolutely loved it, I tried a bite and was jealous I didn’t order that myself. I chose the sweet potato gnocchi with short rib and it was very good. It probably could have used some more salt. And just when we thought the meal couldn’t get any better…we ordered desert. We were going to get the churros since many reviews online talked about them, BUT based off of our server’s recommendation we ordered the chocolate cake instead. No words…just delicious. We were so content after that. We both are in agreement that this was one of the best meals we’ve had at a restaurant in a while.“
“After living in Spain for three years, it's difficult to find authentic Spanish food in the US. However, Teleféric exceeded all my expectations! The food was authentic and delectable, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was darling. The paella was better than some I even had in Spain! Can't wait to visit again.“
“Originally we wanted to go to San Laurel but they only open for dinner. So Agua viva was our second option but, it turned out as a present surprise. Outdoor seat was a bit chilly but good vibe with LA downtown look down view. Service is nice. Good Spanish wine list, foods are just amazing. Never disappointed by Jose Andrés restaurants. Everything was great, and the best was the dessert. Very creative, nice presentation and of course delicious. Highly recommend this place and we will revisit por supuesto!Parking: Valid parking is $15 with validation.“
“When the yearning for authentic Spanish cuisine beckons, "La Paella" emerges as a culinary beacon, brilliantly capturing the essence of Spain's rich gastronomic landscape. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the ambiance transported us back to the vibrant streets of Spain, enveloped in warmth and the tantalizing aroma of spices. The service was nothing short of exemplary, with staff members who not only knew the menu inside out but also shared their enthusiasm for the flavors and traditions of their dishes. Each recommendation was spot on, adding to the overall delightful experience. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the squid ink paella. Its bold flavors and perfectly cooked seafood were a testament to the chef's mastery. Each grain of rice was infused with the deep, oceanic essence of squid ink, creating a dish that was as visually arresting as it was delectable. Every plate brought to our table was a hit, making it a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience for the whole family."La Paella" has certainly set a high standard for Spanish cuisine outside of Spain. It's a gem worth returning to, and we are already planning our next visit to delve deeper into the menu. If you're seeking an authentic taste of Spain, this is a place you won't want to miss.“
“This Spanish is delicious. I am going to recommend it to you in any of the cities it is in.I recommend the entire menu, but my favorite is the TATEL risotto with truffle, it is incredible!!! The potato tortilla (TATEL tortilla) is not far behind. If you like it, accompany your meal with a delicious Spanish wine.“
“i tried the chicken empanada and my bf had the beef jalapeño empanada. both were good and were stuffed with the filling. i felt the chicken empanada was a tad dry though we came ~45min before they closed, so there wasn't much of a line. although they were closing soon, the empanadas still tasted pretty fresh“
“This place was really nice. We took the grandmas for a birthday dinner and they had a great time. Food was yummy. I think I would pass on the paella to be honest. It wasn't bad but paella should be a wet consistency and this one was dry. For 4 people and 1 glass of wine we spent about $350“
“I believe a 5 star rating is not good enough to describe how tremendously great this place is in every single way!The place itself is very neat! Very nice decorated and it even features music of Camilo Sesto. Hopefully sometime they'll play Sabina and Perales ? (j/k)The service is OUTSTANDING! That includes each and every single person who works in the place; kitchen, front, and one of the owners (a lady with glasses). They are VERY CARING about their customers! They always greet me with a smile and a welcoming attitude. The prices are decent, what I like the most are the portions they serve (very satisfying!)One time they made me wait (I didn't mind) and they gave me an empanada as a courtesy.Even though I live in Inglewood, this place is worth the trip, they made a new frequent customer.Congrats to everyone who works here!!“
“First time coming here. My mom ordered the mariscada, but she hardly liked it. The shrimp was kinda raw, and the soup didn't have much flavor. But everything else was good. I ordered plato de pollo with rice, fried platains, and beans super good. I totally recommend it.“
“I like the flavor that chios has, I ordered a fish ceviche because I don't really like seafood, I loved it although the prices have increased a lot one thinks I liked it, I go to chios which is in Sepulveda, I don't like the one It's in van nuys, on the receipt is the portion that you have to leave, I don't know if it's legal because in other restaurants they don't ask for a portion, it's voluntary.Parking: The parking is terrible, it's a problem to park and you can't park outside because they won't let you, it's in red because the buses and bicycles pass and you can't park.“
“Mucho Mas is a Mucho blast, this longstanding family owned restaurant is located on the outskirts of North Hollywood (like you literally cross the street and you're in Burbank)! Easy parking in their lot or own the street (all free ninety nine w/o restrictions, meters or vallet) Upon entering you may notice their large patio to the left of the door. You'll be greeted and seated promptly, give their menu + specials and left to your devices as they say, until it's time to order. Whether you're a large rambunctious party of 12 or a pair of two, you'll get the mucho experience. Our server was very attentive most of our meal. She was very kind and helpful. I went with the veggie fajitas burrito (dry rather than wet, sin queso)... My M.M. regular date went with sizzling shrimp fajitas, which came with sides of beans and rice, like my burrito... Plus we had complimentary chips & salsa and an order of chips and guac... Needless to say... It was a full table! The food was nice, portions big! Very much appreciated all the veggie options (mainly fajita based entrees or salads - vegetarian by default, vegan with simple no dairy mods). They have some fun drink options including margaritas, cerveza y una barra completa (a full bar). The layout is traces of abode meets modern Mexican cantina restaurant, with nods to latin cultura in their art, pictures (such a the late Chespirito) y many attentions to detail. M. Mas was very busy on a Friday Night, We saw some parties waiting for tables on our way out... Grateful we stopped in before 8PM when things super picked up! Open 11AM to 9PM, six days a week (cerrado el Martes).“
