“I've been going to Felix's for over 35 years now since I moved to Southern California. It's been one of my favorites since the first time I went. I always get one of the Cuban dishes that come with black beans and rice along with your choice of dessert, which is always pastel de tres leches for us. The mojo de ajo sauce for the rice and beans is one of my favorite things on the planet, so be sure to ask for extra. The soup, which changes daily, is also always good and homemade. For lunch, you can't go wrong with a Cuban sandwich or pan lechon.Portions are large, and most people take some home. It's a great place, as long as you're not a vegetarian.“
“Miguel's Jr is renowned for its delicious Mexican cuisine, and my gratitude for the exceptional service extends to how well Omar and his team complement the dining experience with their hospitality. It's not just about the food, which is undoubtedly authentic and mouth-watering, but also about how the warmth and efficiency of the service enhance the overall enjoyment of the meal. Omar's adept management and personal touch make every visit special, further elevating the rich flavors and vibrant atmosphere that Miguel's Jr is loved for. It's a testament to how great leadership and a committed team can transform a simple meal into a memorable occasion. Thank you again to Omar and the staff for their outstanding service alongside the fantastic Mexican cuisine.“
“I really enjoyed my first time at Vaca. The roasted cauliflower was incredible. I can't wait to have it again. The paellas are shareable. The restaurant gets really busy during happy hour. A lot of people stop by before walking over to Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Make sure to get there early or make a reservation.“
“Ordered from Kiko's on Doordash because I was a little lazy to drive the other day, so please keep in mind that my review is based off of food that had made a 15 minute journey before being eaten! When I heard a new Filipino joint was opening in Irvine, I was ecstatic! There are practically no Filipino joints in Irvine -- if you have that craving you need to drive to Lake Forest or a city more north. It's very nice to now have something in my own city to satisfy that Filipino fix when I am too lazy to cook. As a Filipino myself, I understand that Filipino food can taste extremely different depending on who cooks it. The different regions of the Philippines all cook the same dishes in different ways. Therefore, you should never expect a dish from one restaurant to taste the same at a different restaurant. I ordered the kare-kare, which is my favorite Filipino dish. Their rendition of this creamy peanut dish was pretty good, but not my favorite. The ox-tail was perfectly cooked, but the veggies were overcooked and soggy. The flavor of the sauce was delicious, however I wish they gave more sauce. I particularly didn't like the bagoong (shrimp paste). I'm not sure which kind they use, but if you have some bagoong at home (as most Filipinos do), then I'd recommend to use your own. One thing I'd like to note is that the portions are on the smaller side here. It's definitely only enough for one person, so don't expect to share one meal. However, I think the prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. I will definitely be giving Kiko's other menu items a try in the future!“
“A rare find in such a close vicinity to Disneyland. They got it all; food, service, and atmosphere, more importantly, all perfectly on point. Netzer, the manager, is one of those unique, hands on managers. Brisa our server, both nights, is just phenomenal beyond words. For me the Cuisine was different, out of my comfort level at first. However, Brisa has the patience and knowledge to explain the menu with staying upbeat and kind when the restaurant got slammed. Everything was great. “
“This place is so good! Hubby and I split the nachos loaded, and with pork. We had street corn as a side. It was very busy but we didn't wait long. There is limited seating. Very reasonable prices. We are excited to still be here for Tuesday and their taco Tuesday special.“
“What a great spot. The inside is cozy and comfortable with a great views of the kitchen at work. I sat at the bar and watched the action. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the wine list was decent with an option to please everyone. The food menu had some of the best variety of tapas I'd seen in a while. It was hard to only order five things! You will spend a bit but it's worth every penny to try so many wonderful dishes. I don't eat gluten and I had no trouble finding safe options.“
