“One of my favorite Salvadoran restaurants with an extensive menu. The food is usually always good, there was only one negative - it could have been that the item was "out of season". I love their sauce for their pupusas, rich and usually thick.Relaxed atmosphere with bar and karaoke on weekends. “I enjoy trying out hole-in-the-wall type of places and this was a good find! I can't say if they're authentic or not since I haven't had much Salvadoran food before but I liked most everything I've tried so far. Their pupusa with curtido and salsa is so good! Personally didn't love their tamal de pollo but their tamal de elote was pretty good. Since they are a small restaurant they have been out of things I've ordered a couple of times. It does tend to take a while for your order to be ready so ordering by phone is a good idea. Also, they have a special every weekday which you might want to take advantage of. One thing to note is that though it's not posted anywhere, they charge you $1 for paying with card. Parking lot is kind of small and a bit cramped but there's also street parking close by.“
“Authentic delicious food with large servings. Their loaded fries were amazing and better than loaded nochos. The birria plate was well cooked and falling off the bone. Also tried a couple tacos which were excellent. They have plenty of extra salsa upon request and provided a nice bag of pickled veggies which was included. Not sure why their previous reviews didn't match our experience, but perhaps they've upped their game and listened to their reviews.“
“Let's see, True Puerto Rican food in Los Angeles. No way. Always have to get my fix by going to New York or the Island. This is the only place I can say is "TRUE" Puerto Rican food. Real Mofongo, carne and pollo Guisa like my mother and grandmother made. Alcapurria, and Empanadillas were good. Can't wait to try the Papas Rellenos, Sorullitos De Maiz , and the true test, Arroz Con Gandules. So you know I'll be back. If you're picking up, the place can be hard to find. It's in an industrial area, but you can see the beautiful Puerto Rican bandera welcoming you. They are the first door on the right. You need to knock for service. The door was not marked and the only complaint I had. "WILL" be going back. After 40 years in LA, it has finally arrived. Mi Gente.“
“Super tasty food, delicious snacks. Everything done at the moment!! And the unique attention. Very friendly and attentive. First time and I was impressed. “Omg when I tell you that it was my first time trying arepas. My brother Inlaw is from Venezuela boy he Wasent wrong when he told me trust your gonna love them!! Never had I finish a whole dinner plate on my own.. But I myself was surprised when I ate the whole arepa I left nothing. It was so good I can’t explain yah need to come try them so you know what I’m talking about.. Only bad thing is there not open every day. You guys try the carne mechada arepa oh my God delicious.. I’m Hispanic by the way and let me tell you I rather have one of these than a Sope, taco, popusas,or a huarache tbh… Guys go try the food here please . You won’t regret it..“
“This place is a hidden gem in the valley and even the lot it's in you wouldn't assume it's good. This is located in the same lot as the Food 4 Less and Baskin Robbins. And I am so mad I didn't get this place sooner, the savory empanadas I had were DELICIOUS. I had the corn, pork kahula and a chicken one that I forgot that all came with their individual sauces and I WILL be going back for more. I was however so disappointed in the banana Nutella empanada- it was very mushy and the Nutella taste was nonexistent. Either than that the actual place is super clean and a cool ambiance to it!“
“I have been a face painter at Mr. Bones pumpkin patch throughout the month of October, and almost every day I’ve been there, I got lunch from the Maravilla truck. They are incredible!! Everything I tried was delicious, and the seasoned fries were a personal favorite. They are all so friendly too. Face painting at the patch is definitely a high pressure job, especially when it’s busy, and Maravilla really helped to keep my spirits (and energy) up the whole time! Thank you Maravilla for everything!!“
“Went back again after so long for their empanadas. I ordered 6 of them $3.75 each; 2 of each with Spinach & cheese, Chicken & Beef.My mom & I both agreed that the ones with beef were the most flavorful! The other flavors were good too.. it's just we liked the beef ones the most. The salsa & chimicury sauce they gave us were tasty as well!Recommended to others ??☺️Parking: Depends on the hours, sometimes it could be somewhat difficult to find available parking space. Since it's sharing parking lot with many other restaurants, businesses and Starbucks.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of non spicy options.“
“Was lucky enough to come in as soon as they opened so it was nice and empty I had no problem ordering from the menu, it was easy to read.. Ended up going with the j*** chicken enchiladas because it was a very interesting combination and it sounds really good. And let me tell you it does not disappoint! They had great music playing that makes you feel like you are back on the islands. The hostess was nice. The food did not take long and it came out piping hot and fresh. Please stop here if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed. For any veterans that leave the VA hospital, definitely come here for lunch!“
