“Says tavern but closes at 8:00, feels like pizza shop inside. We got there at 7:50 and we're rushed out the door and got salad only. Closes way too early for a "tavern," they need to rename it.”

“We had the most wonderful lunch we had in a while. Simple , fresh tasty and in generous portions A total superb value for money meal!

The place spotlessly clean, neat and quiet for a lazy Saturday afternoon.

And the wait staff was serving with a bright smile and intent to please. We loved the service here.

Now the food:

1. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls as starters and they were the freshest I have tasted in a while.

2. I ordered the Pho Ga and it was so huge that both of us shred it and yet that was some left in the bowl. Clean, freshly made and we both loved it.

3. Better half ordered the stir fry Shrimp with bamboo sliced with veggies . Huge shrimp and lots of them cooked to perfection with those amazing bamboo slices. This was so tasty that we were fighting over it and yet the portion was being enough for both of us.

We left for home with a full stomach and a light heart dancing at the thought of returning soon”

“I’ve lived in this town since I was 4 years old so I remember what La Costa used to be. It was a tiny shack that had the best Mexican food around. Now a days they have a nice building with a fountain outside. It’s so convenient for me to get a quick bite after I’m done with Jiu jitsu at Growth Mindset Collective. I really love this place since the owner lives here in Oakley. We should all be supporting our local business owners that make Oakley a good place to live.”

“Good, expected, Taco Bell food. Complaint is service. I hate the new normal or only ordering from your app or in a restaurant kiosk. You can see workers making food, but absolutely no interaction with customers. After ordering, just stand to the side and wait for someone to place your meal up on the counter. Then you have to walk over to the counter to read the name to see if it's yours. Also... this location especially seems to forget items routinely. Suggest to always check your bag before leaving restaurant.”

House made chorizo is on point.Didn’t get the kids name but he said he was the owners son he told me about the sopes and chorizo.Will definitely be tipping well next timeOnly bad thing layout of the restaurant is confusing but with food like that definitely shouldn’t complain.”

“Decided to stop by for the first time while in the area for Grocery Outlet, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had two sugar-free ice cream flavors of strawberry and pecan, which was great for a sugar-conscious person like me! So I decided to give ‘em a shot by getting a milkshake with a scoop of each, and it was delicious! 😋 The milkshake comes with two ice cream scoops and is large enough to easily suffice for two people. I’m really glad we made the stop here and highly recommend it for the large variety of flavors and dessert offerings, all made in-house! But be aware that it’s also quite pricey ($12 for the milkshake!), making it a great indulgence only once in a while, which honestly isn’t a bad limitation when it comes to ice cream…Overall, I give it a whole 5 ⭐️ for the delicious offerings that cater to those wanting to indulge without excessive sugar consumption, as well as for the great service and atmosphere! 👍
