“LOVE <3!!! I have gotten it 4 times already in less than a month, the tuna and salmon is so high quality, the veggies are also fresh! Plus, the (white) rice is “safe” and doesn’t conjure any bad memories about the time I got food poisoning and thought the rice I ate that day was the cause.(despite not being true) The workers are fast at assembling all the ingredients you want together, and it’s a very calm atmosphere, the floors are pacific and the overall decor! I always get a regular bowl, (with avocado) and the prices do come out to be 17 dollars, and I don’t really make use out of that price tbh since I don’t get any sauces and for some reason limit myself to 3 toppings? However, that price does look good, a step further from “reasonable” if you order efficiently, and considering fish is expensive, as well as how healthy it can be depending on your order, (most definitely is a balanced meal, carbs, protein, fats, fiber…) it’s worth it. Furthermore, I really enjoy the ,Subway’ style, with the salad bar and protein bar(?) and being able to customize your own order while looking at it. By the end of this review, you’re probably NOT surprised that poke bowls has become my favorite food in this exact span of time… I yet to try the pokirito, which I hope I decide one day to to order!!! ?Vegetarian options: You can get the veggie bowl!!! It just includes the toppings and the base with some tofu as the protein.“
“Honestly I wish I could gatekeep this place but I want this place to succeed. There’s a waiter named Tony who’s above and beyond awesome and amazing, we are always happy when he’s our waiter. The other staff are just as nice and attentive, but we’re biased for Tony. The meat quality is great, my personal favorite is the short rib. The side dishes are great, they’re the best on some days and ok on others - it depends on when the batch is made. Sonu BBQ has become my favorite KBBQ place in the southern CA region. It’s Oceanside’s best kept secret.“
“We stopped here for a late lunch after spending the morning at the beach. This was probably one of the highlights of the trip. The vibe is so chill and the restaurant is awesome you get an outdoor feeling even inside with the huge open patio. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly in making sure our family of 6 was set. The kids split some cheese pizza and lumpia that was fantastic and I had the beach BBQ pizza and lumpia with an anti matter ipa. This is definitely a come back kind of place so delicious so welcoming and so clean.“
“We were greeted by friendly staffs on Christmas Eve. I ordered a regular poke bowl with brown rice that I had shared with my partner. They give out pretty good scoops of protein. And, because I love my toppings, my bowl was a bit overfilled. We had enough to have poke for dinner. We decided to dine in, because no one was in there. Space is pretty open and clean. We enjoyed our experience and would come back again :)“
“In general great food. A little wanting on the service. I ordered through Doordash and was a disappointed when I wanted to customize my order by saying I didn't want rice. Apparently this restaurant doesn't allow custom orders, so I couldn't make the request. Their loss, since it's only saving them money that I don't want rice. I proceeded to order an app and two entrees that would typically come with rice, which showed up with only one side of rice. So not only could I not make a custom order, but if I wanted rice which I imagine the vast majority do, I would've only gotten one order to split between two meals. Seems pretty over the top frugal when I'm paying $80+ for a couple Chinese dinners and wontons. The scallops were overcooked and tasted like chicken.“

“This place is awesome because they load it up. I got the 4 choice protein, Large, for 16 dollars and was amazed at their portions. Usually, a large is a place's highest option but Poki Poki had a larger option.Everything can be added without a fee except for the avocado.The place is nice too, it's clean and if you go at the right time, quiet. On this day, they had a movie playing to which I enjoyed half my plate. There was so much food that I'd have to finish it later in the day-yet it still felt like a full sized meal each time.The flavors are not the boldest when compared to other places but having almost every side gave it a good variety in taste. Regardless of the flavor, the fish and sides, salads and rice were all very fresh and delicious.“
“I honestly was reluctant to come here because it's super cute and sometimes super cute means the food isn't great but I was proven wrong. The food had a ton of flavor and even the cute character buns had plenty of filling. The teens ordered the chicken and ube bao bao buns. My husband and I got the bulgogi beef fries and both girls ordered yakisoba.Warning: they over state the wait time on their app. We were walk-ins and were told 45 minutes, the app said an hour and 15. We waited maybe 10 minutes at best.“

“Man it's really gone down in quality and quantity since the last time I visited. I got the spicy chicken which was salty and tasted different then I remember. My so got the new orange chicken. We switched plates. The Orange chicken had a nice orange flavor. I remember when they'd give you enough to share. The lettuce wraps were still good, but they no longer offer the 3 chilies you can mix to you're liking of heat level. I won't be going back anytime soon.“
“Absolutely crushed our expectations!The French Kiss was an absolute delight of flavors, The pork belly robata absolutely melted in our mouths, and the Summer roll (on its little skewers) was fresh and delightful.Even our dessert, the butterscotch pudding, was full of surprises. The addition of the black sesame seeds and the crushed cookies added so much complexity without taking anything away from a good, solid, creamy pudding.I did have to ding them one star on service though, as we went through our entire meal without receiving a single refill on our sodas. We didn't ask for one, but still, we shouldn't have to. Also, we asked for straws and they never arrived.Still, not enough to Mar the experience. 10/10 will come back.Parking: The parking lot in front of the place is very, very small. The Chase Bank lot across the street is for customers only during the day and a paid lot after. However, if you enter the lot and then keep going, there is free parking in a lot just on the far side of the Bank. It's really not that far of a walk to get the free parking.“

“If you can eat gluten this place is fantastic. They have a lot of GF next to dishes but in the small print below, on the menu, it says it can be made GF but you have to ask. I have been sick 3 days now because of this misunderstanding. I may go back, but maybe not. “Stopped at their booth in Balboa Park during the Lunar New Year festival. Their prices were very reasonable with a 3-for-$10 on steamed buns. We got chicken and mushroom and cabbage and mushroom. So good! The fillings were plentiful and flavorful and the buns were tasty and perfectly steamed! Will def buy from them again next time we see them!“
“I must admit their fusion style is what drew us to try out this place. Unfortunately the ideas on their menu were either not stocked or even ready for the potential upcoming lunch rush (we showed up around 1130ish) so I ended ordering something i wasn't even in to. But it turned out OK- portions are small for their price.“
“The food and service here were phenomenal. I had the chicken satay with the beef curry martabak, rice and pickled cucumbers. The price and quantity of food was great but most importantly, the food quality and service was amazing. Highly recommend this spot.“
