Who ever owns this spot needs to take a trip to the Huntington Beach location and take notice. This place in Orange needs significant improvement. No friendly greeting or vibe, long wait in line as one employee manages, food quality is subpar, messy unclean tables, and no one inside practicing any form of safety protocols including the worker behind the counter. I cannot believe the owner isn't on hand assisting his lone worker and actually managing nor creating a wonderful dining experience. This is an embarrassment to the Chronic Tacos name. Meh not returning.

Located in a pretty busy shopping center on the corner of Chapman and Newport; nestled in the corner. Cannot really sit outside since the crazy non-human fearing birds are flying crazy everywhere! YIKES! They are doing the best they can with short staff but took a little bit for them to come to the front to address waiting customers. The food quality is average. I hate that they charge extra for every little thing. I don't remember them doing this in the past, or maybe it all depends location to location. I got a beyond beef nachos with the salsa on the side. Again I think you can better bang for your buck elsewhere but I was hungry and this seemed to satisfy the hunger enough. I requested some stuff on the side, which they charged extra for. Doesn't really make sense to charge extra if I wanted it on the side so that the chips don't get that soggy fast, but I guess they have their own policies on stuff. Because of shortage on staff, no one is really cleaning off the tables. What is there, stays there. We were there for almost a hour with the kids and no one bothered cleaning any of the tables that were being used when we were there.

The food is whatever but their customer service is absolutely awful! They gave me this pathetic serving of tater tots and said this is what is the serving size. Online says 18 and on other Yelp pages shows a lot more in the tray. I spoke to the manager and he was so unbelievably rude. I was really nice and calm and just explained I was hoping he would take the opportunity to do the right thing, instead of stiff me. His response, "no, I don't need the opportunity thanks". Customer service is a big deal to me, and this experience just ruined it for me. They kept forgetting things we asked for, they tried to give us the kids quesadilla only, instead of the combo with the chips and drink. He spoke over me when I was trying to answer him in order to ask my husband the same question. Like me as a woman didn't deserve his respect. This experience goes beyond just Chronic, this location needs new owners or to be closed. Worst experience

Their staff is welcoming and friendly and they have delicious food. The onions, green sauce, and cilantro make their burritos so much more flavorful than other burrito shops.

Unsanitary. I went to this location and the male worker who was making the burritos wiped dirty plastic trays with his plastic gloves he was using for food preparations, then with same gloves used the register then came over to grab tortillas for my burrito. When I asked him politely to change gloves for clean gloves before preparing food he rolled his eyes and gave attitude. I tried to let the attitude pass and continued to try to give my order. But then he started to use the tortilla that he hd handled with the previous dirty unsanitary gloves. That is when I asked him to kindly start with new tortilla as he used the dirty gloves. He gave attitude again that I was putting being to demanding and so I told him, "it's okay I will pass on ordering". The as I was leaving he yelled "good luck" This place obviously has no knowledge of food safety and yes this is cheap fast food place but the lack of human decency for safety for their patrons is appalling. Stay away from the health hazard. These employees will certainly lacks food safety.
Enjoyed our chicken bowlritos, staff was very friendly and showed great care in assembling the bowls. One of the better customer service experiences I've had during the pandemic.

Awful customer service!!! The ladies were rude to me and the other customer in the store (hey at least I know it wasn't directed at just me ). They acted like they could care less that they are working for a paycheck. Despite that, I still ordered cuz I love me some Chronic Tacos! Sadly, when I got home I discovered that the food was even more awful than the customer service! Rice, meat and beans were GROSS. (The onions were good but I think I can buy one of those at the store for much cheaper.) Store management needs to make some serious changes here.
