“Himalaya is a hidden gem in Ventura. I have been going there for a few years and I have never been disappointed. Their food is delicious--flavorful and well spiced and their portions are generous. The chicken tikka masala and the garlic naan are fantastic as you would expect but there are hidden gems throughout the menu--try the Newari Choila or the Lamb Saagwala-- or if you want something a little spicier, any of the Vindaloo dishes will satisfy your spice craving. A good choice for lunch is the Silver Burrito, which has delicious chicken tikka cubes with lettuce and cucumber, mixed with mint, tamarind and yogurt sauces. Besides the excellent food, what sets Himalaya apart from most restaurants, is their hospitality. Sonny and the rest of the crew do an outstanding job attending to your needs--coming by often to refill water glasses and clearing away dishes. You definitely won't feel forgotten there. If you're not sure what you might like--just ask--they are extremely helpful in suggesting dishes based on your likes and dislikes and your level of comfort with the food. After you've been back a couple times (and you will return!) they will undoubtedly recognize you and may suggest additional dishes you may like (I've found so many new favorites this way). Indeed, the staff is so helpful, It starts to feel like you are eating at a friend's home instead of at a restaurant. If you haven't already been, try Himalaya! You will love it and will love having a new place to take family and friends to share their wonderful food and gracious hospitality.“
“I'm not picky or particular but I do have things that I like and are important to me in an establishment. This place came through with flying colors. The food was amazing, came out hot and quite quickly for how busy they were. They also went out of their way to make sure I got the cocktail that I wanted even though it took an extra bit of work. Really true professionals behind the bar and serving. I was also lucky enough to go to the bar while karaoke was going on and I was just blown away. Their karaoke guy Joe was fun and engaging, my entire group had a great time. The place was smaller than I expected but everyone there is an absolute Rockstar.“

“Good lord their food is delicious. Our favorite bartender recommended Asiatique and said we had to try the bonchon wings. They were awesome. Also tried the drunken noodles, and the beef bulgogi. Amazing. Perfect spice (I would have liked a level 3 spice, but my better half asked for a level 1). Service was friendly and the place was clean enough to perform surgery.“
“Tried it for the first time last week, had the spicy beef noodle soup with knife-cut noodles and the soup dumplings. My friend had the spinach ramen noodles in miso broth. I would say overall the food is pretty good. The spicy beef noodle soup was not very spicy and the noodles seemed a bit dry. But I took home my leftovers, added some red pepper and by that time the noodles had soaked in more of the broth and were plumper and chewier, so it was good. The soup dumplings were good though you have to ask for all the condiments (vinegar, ginger, chili oil) as they only had soy sauce out on the counter. I will be back to try their other items. Since it is hard to find these more regional types of Chinese food here in Ventura County, I would say it's a good place among what's offered here. Not as good as those in San Gabriel Valley or even South Bay areas of L.A., but for Ventura County, this would be one of my go-to places for soup dumplings and handmade noodles.“

Food was delicious we had the spicy pork ramen, spicy Crunch roll, dumpling ramen it was so fresh I don't really like food like this but I would recommend to anybody that's picky because I am the pickiest I will be back I think the lady I was talking to was the owner she was real nice she was the cashier“
“I went today and I had Nora helping me out and just the atmosphere alone gives off wonderful vibes. Nora and Letty all had outstanding customer service not even mentioning that the store was super clean and it was fast and easy. Not only did they have wonderful customer service but they also help me out choosing what type of food they recommend for me even though it was my first time. I would 100% come back for the people alone. I recommend this amazing place if you try to come during your lunch hour or just wanna get some dumplings I would recommend it.“
