“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!”

“I had a great experience at Casa Nostra all around. The service was very attentive and quick. The manager, waiter, and bussers were all very sharp and worked together to get us anything we asked for immediately. We had three dishes that we split between two people. It was a perfect amount of food, and they were kind enough to pre-split the dishes since they knew we were sharing. The mozzarella and tomatoes in the caprese were perfectly fresh. The branzino was cooked to the ideal temperature. We appreciated the basket of fresh bread they bring out at the beginning as well. It's a very nice restaurant that's not cramped in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. I will be returning with more friends and family.”

“Excellent Italian food: I had the seafood-pasta special. My partner, who needs gluten-free pasta, was afforded a wide range of options--something like: We can make it however you like. That's very rare in a restaurant.”

“Definitely not the standard Italian fare you expect to find in a mall. I've dined here several times, and the pasta dishes have consistently impressed me with their freshness and quality. Highly recommend trying the Penne Rossa and Tagliatelle ai Funghi - both were exceptional choices for a vegetarian like myself. The freshly baked bread served is perfect for dipping in olive oil while you wait for your appetizers and main courses to arrive. The service here is top-notch. I've also enjoyed lunch at the bar during busy hours; it's an excellent spot to people-watch the bustling crowds of the Palisades as they shop.
Vegetarian options: A few of the pasta and dishes are vegetarian and clearly labeled as such.
Parking: Parking lot available under the palisades village shopping place.
Kid-friendliness: Can accommodate kids as necessary.”

“Qué Padre is located in the Palisades Village, which is a super cute location. You can eat outside and be in that little garden.
It is very quiet and enjoyable.
We got bowls and a burrito. Each of those are customizable with choice of protein and different veggies, salsa, cheese you want to get.
The place wasn’t crowded at the day and time we came but the food came fairly fast.
I got the chicken bowl and that meat was actually really good. You know how chicken can quickly be dry. Well it wasn’t the case at all! It was super soft and tasty. The bowl had a very decent size and it wasn’t easy for me to finish. They were also generous on the meat.
The guacamole was also good - you can choose your level of spiciness.
For the location and amount of food, I feel it is very good deal. $15 for a bowl (+ $1 to make it a burrito).”

“A very nice and quaint Vegan Thai restaurant , walking distance from the beach . Everything on the menu is vegan and the menu has good variety. We had a light lunch and ordered Pad Thai. It was little too tangy for my taste but to be fair it is mentioned on the menu that it will have Tomato Sauce. So it was true to the menu. Parking is a little tight.”

There is a nice patio with heaters ( winter ) and Mountain View.
The cakes, pastry etc are so good.
Ask them to warm up a croissant in the oven…. Is heaven.

“After a fulfilling 3.5-mile hike with a friend, our appetites were ready for action. Initially, we had plans to dine at Matthews Garden Cafe next door, but their willingness to accommodate two people and a stroller left something to be desired. So, we ventured next door and settled by the fountain in the outdoor seating area. Our culinary journey kicked off with the delightful indulgence of warm bread, impeccably paired with a truly delightful olive oil and balsamic vinegar duo. What followed was an unforgettable bruschetta - easily ranking among the best I've ever savored. The tomatoes burst with flavor, harmoniously balanced with just the right amount of garlic. The toasted bread, brushed with olive oil, elevated the experience to sheer perfection. Don't miss this dish. For our main course, we decided to share the pasta special of the day, Rigatoni Romana, and a pizza. The rigatoni arrived cloaked in a delectable pink sauce, escorted by pancetta and red onions. The flavors were spot on, although I did wish for a bit more crispiness in the pancetta. As for the pizza, we opted for bufalo mozzarella and added meatballs, mushrooms, and olives. The mushrooms did introduce a touch of sogginess, as expected, and the meatballs could have benefited from a tad more salt. Overall, the pizza was decent, though we couldn't help but wonder if it might have shone even brighter with fewer toppings. In summary, our dining experience was truly outstanding, with the bruschetta and pasta special stealing the show. It's worth noting that we customized our pasta with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan and a pinch of crushed red pepper, which elevated its flavors even further. While the pizza had its moments, we couldn't help but speculate that a simpler approach might have yielded a more remarkable outcome.
Kid-friendliness: They had high chairs available and overall had a very accommodating attitude.”

“Tea felt very private, in a quiet banquet room overlooking the Vila with instrumental music in the background. Music was a bit depressing at first, then was changed to Bridgeton type music. All you can drink teas, highly recommend the house lavender tea. Sandwich and sweets were nice.”
“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Caffe Luxxe on our interview date. L.A. based small batch coffee roaster Caffe Luxxe is wonderful example of what can grow from the powerful bond of friendship, specifically one that spans decades like that of owners Mark Wain and Gary Chau. Taking the chance to quit their corporate jobs in 2006, they’ve been able to fuel their business from their personal relationship and their love for European luxury caffe culture. A fun fact, Caffe Luxxe is the first of its kind in L.A. for artisan coffee preparation, and boy golly, it is not one to miss at any of its So Cal locations. The coffee world is your oyster when picking your beverage of choice from their delectable menu of drips, pour overs, and a unique variety of Bevande Di Caffe (including a chocolate-y shaken Caffe Shakerato, a sparkling espresso Caffe Frizzante, and a spiced citrus Caffe Nico). If seasonal specials are your thing, have no fear, because they’ve got those covered too! What more could you ask for?”

“everything was great! i have 2 girls and they can never eat the same thing. so tonight one got pasta with homemade and large meatballs and the other one and i split a pizza! then we ALL enjoyed the garlic bread and yummy cinnamon knots. i have had similar eats at Dominoes and this blows them away! we will be back soon for the rest of the yummy stuff on the menu. oh, and the price was super reasonable, very good bang for your buck!”
“So far my bf and I have been there a couple of times and it's a family owned taco stand that sell tacos, burritos, tortas and more. They're service isn't so great at night which I understand cuz I've worked at one before and it's tiring. I've only ordered their tacos and so far they're good compared to most taco stands in LA. They serve a good protioned sized tacos and condiments are free. They also have Agua frescas and a Ralphs across the parking lot. Definitely a place I'll be heading before work”

“This is definitely one of the oldest and nicest place in LA to offer good food next to a public and accessible beach.
One of the best time to go is by mid-afternoon as it’s less crowded and in the winter you can enjoy the sunset by 5pm. They do offer a lot of seafood dishes from the traditional clams chowder to the lovely lobster roll. For the kids they have a couple off-menu options such as a special kids fish n chips.
Definitely a great spot that I recommend for brunch and afternoon drinks and snacks.
Vegetarian options: Not too many option to chose from
Parking: They have a 13$ valet as well as a public parking available
Kid-friendliness: Next to the beach this is a great spot to enjoy a bite while the little ones are running on the beach
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible”
