After a surf session I come here to pick up a whole chicken for my protein recovery. It’s legit. Big way to wrap up a day. My chicken and I.

Big difference since the last time coming here about 2 years ago. First of all, the menu no longer offers meat combos + sides. Everything is a la carte or you have the option to order a sandwich "combo" that comes with a choice of one side (no drink). I remember the days when you could order a plate with any combo of 2 meats plus 2 sides and included cornbread. I ended up ordering the brisket and a side of rice and beans. If you're a fan of burnt ends, then maybe this is the place for you. Too many hard, dried out burnt bits vs tender brisket. I had to dip every bite in the bbq sauce to give it flavor and moisten it. The rice and beans was just ok. Kind of watery but tasty. BF ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw. He said the pork was flavorful but his bread was really dry- as if it was stale. The coleslaw came in this little round plastic container- like the kind places give out when providing condiments to-go. Shockingly small portion! Oh, and now they charge $2.75 for their cornbread. Also disappointed they no longer offer grilled vegetables as a side- that was one of my favorites. Kudos to the gal behind the counter taking orders- she was efficient and friendly. However, the food and value are now lacking. Doubtful we will return.

eh. was informed by the person who worked there not to go by what is available on Yelp or any other site besides the "gorillabbq" site... everything sold separate, no meal combos that's shown in the photos on here.. idk if it's worth buying each thing INDIVIDUALLY. Seperate plate for meat, seperate thing for a side, etc. seems kinda ridic

They don't have a combo choice so couldn't try a little bit of everything. Individual 1/2 pound cost up to $20! If you want to try everything be prepared to spend $20 per item. Overall this place is very sauce dependent. Can't even eat without. Brisket = very dry without the sauce you are just eating a rock Hot links = it's alright not the best but tasted better compared to brisket and ribs Ribs= dry and overcooked Mac and Cheese= the only redeeming choice Service = friendly +1 Food = mehh +1 for Mac and cheese

Staff is awesome , brisket was little dry , not much of a smoke ring or taste either. You should not have to use BBQ sauce to eat brisket, it should basically melt in your mouth. The ribs were very tasty and meaty though. Unfortunately I'm comparing the brisket to Texas BBQ..

Was looking for some good Cali bbq, found this and I do have to say that the bbq itself definitely lives up to the hype. Not the best I’ve ever had but the best I’ve had in Cali!I had the brisket and Mac n cheese.First the star; the brisket. The meat was super tender and juicy, moist with the perfect amount of fat and char. Taste was very good and overall it was just a great example of bbq, not just for the west coast but in general. I’d give the brisket a 4.7/5 star rating! The Mac n cheese, well it was a disappointment. Not sure if it’s always like this but the noodles were to soft almost to the point of being soggy, the cheese sauce was nice and thick but something was just off about it. Flavor was okay but nothing to write home about. It seemed like this was not freshly made and I was really disappointed in the Mac. My rating would be a 1.5/5 stars for this.Overall not sure if I just got an older batch of Mac or what, but the bbq itself is what redeemed them and I would go again just for that.

Got there a little bit before they opened at noon. A couple cars waiting then a few more trickled in. Small stall but checkout was pretty quick. Order a la carte. The ribs and brisket were the best. Tender, juicy, falls off the bone. Mac and cheese was good but I like mine more melty. The cornbread was tiny, like a mini muffin. Parking lot is bumpy and broken. No seating area, only to go but really good bbq!

We pass by this place often and finally made the stop. We always see a line formed outside during lunchtime. We arrived around 12:30 and the line went quickly. Excellent customer service -- friendly and fast. Ordered ribs, pulled pork, and corn bread. Ribs fall off the bone and their bbq sauce is delicious. I recommend heating up the corn bread and adding extra butter.

Waited in line 40 minutes with other fans. Not complaining! 3 of the 12 around me were also novices. The veterans shared their BBQ reviews with us. It was like waiting for your favorite band to come on stage. Pulled pork was wonderful. So was the sauce, tho totally unnecessary.

Gorilla Barbeque impresses with its mouthwatering selection of smoky, tender meats and bold, flavorful sauces, creating a carnivore's paradise that is a must-visit for barbecue enthusiasts.

Great BBQ and friendly staff. I only wish they were open more days of the week. Also I hope to see more sides in the future
