Patxi's Pizza

I really liked Patxi's Pizza in Palo Alto when they took the time to actually make the pizza as ordered. More than once they have messed up our order. (Requested double-cut , got regular cut; asked for extra sauce, which was not added. This is our favorite for deep dish pizza. There is what seems like a pound of toppings and cheese on every pizza. But the flavors are robust and the cornmeal crust is done to perfection and not overly oily. We usually do delivery and they are prompt and accurate in their estimated delivery times. Plan ahead because the pizzas do take awhile to come.

We love Chicago style deep dish pizza and honestly Patxi's does a great job with this. Love the Matt Cain (have had it a couple of times). On superbowl Sunday, placed an order through 'Slice', their online order processor and everything went well. I got a text saying the pizza would be ready in about 50-60 minutes (which seems about right for deep dish and a busy superbowl sunday) as well as a confirmation email.
