“Donna Jean is a great place to enjoy healthy vegan options in the Sherman Oaks area, the staff is very helpful and very attentive. My wife and I came here for Brunch on a Sunday and we ordered there Fungazi and we also got the hot shrooms. Both dishes were really really good. I highly recommend Donna Jean for everyone not just if you are Vegan. The food is outstanding and nothing beats a lively atmosphere and nice staff.“
“We loved this place and it will be a regular rotation spot for us. We had the Chicken Lasagna and the Portobello Marsala Chicken, both were very good, we also had crab cakes which were good. The service was excellent as well and they seem to have a good flow to everything. I've lived in the area for 2 years and tried a few places around and this is definitely the best. I loved that they didn't cram every guest in to tables next to each other and gave us space where they could, more places need need to take note of that.“
“Great food and really nice looking restaurant. I was a few minutes later than expected picking up my food and the server mentioned they were just about to call. Very friendly and courteous service. All of the food was great, but the Bang Bang Broccoli and the It’s a Hit (tempura jalapeño) were especially special (intentionally saying special here twice). Will definitely be back again and happy to be living so close by!“
“This is one of the best indian restaurants in all of Los Angeles. I am a huge foodie and have eaten at almost EVERY indian restaurant in LA. I am also Indian and eat indian food almost daily. So when i say this place is incredible, i have a LOT to compare it to. This food is so authentically delicious while not being over loaded with cream, butter and ghee. It isn’t heavy like all the other indian restaurants can be. You leave feeling satiated but not disgustingly full or gross. It’s the perfect balance of tasty without gluttonous. Every dish was phenomenal - vegetarian and the meat! All exceptional! 10/10 and will be back MANY more times!!!! My only regret was I found out about this place just now!!!“
“The reason I gave this wonderful restaurant 4 stars is how the pricing escalates if you come with a group larger than 7. The first time I came with three, the cost was approximately $50.00 each w drinks ($147.00). Last night I came with 8 and the pricing increased 100%. For 8 people our bill came to $853.00, which came to $100+ per person, a 100% increase! I love this restaurant but the sticker shock at the end dampened our enjoyment.“
“This is a great spot. Definitely a tight fit so my friend and I were lucky to grab a table, but enjoyed the experience. Waitstaff is knowledgeable and the menu and willing to provide recs and explain things. The warm ricotta dip with a grilled ciabatta is magic“
“Chocolate Oreo Ice Cream! Let me tell you it definitely hit the spot, one of the best ice creams I've tried I can see why it's one of their top flavors. I got the single scoop and it's a good amount of serving but I should have gotten a double scoop for sure! If you love chocolate ice cream and Oreos, then this is the perfect flavor for you. Although, there is a hint of coconut in the aftertaste in case you're not too huge on coconut. But the actual flavor overpowers it. We went late at night but the service was still good! You have to be careful not to miss the window it's right next to a small coffee shop. There's a few chairs around to sit after or you can walk around and see the other shops around. Very small space but great ice cream! I will definitely need to go back and try other flavors!“
“This is my favorite vegan Mexican spot. They have the best food and it’s fairly affordable considering it’s vegan. I always get the Al Pastor burrito, cause it’s packed with flavor. They have other amazing items, but I tend to stick with my go to option that I listed. Overall, I am never disappointed when I go here, cause for the price the burritos are huge.“
“5/5 Written from a former bakery owner. My family owned a bakery in Detroit for 40+ years and sold it during Covid in 2021. I know baking and so does Toluca Bakery. Excellent customer service. Family owned shop with the mom and son working when my friend and I went in. So much variety, and the price point is low for all you’re getting. This is a bakery making old school, classic recipes. They veganized so many items that you can’t find in most places. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious, concha’s super tasty, Tres Leches was chef’s kiss, turnover amazing, danish great, cupcakes yum, eclairs fantastic and empanadas scrumptious. Highly recommend. Plus for folks who like supporting small business, this is exactly that. It’s a win-win-win-win. Taste-options-price-family owned & operated. Get there!“
“Quaint little restaurant about a mile from Universal Studios. Awesome Thai vegan offerings with wonderful service and atmosphere. Very convenient location to local hotels, as well!Vegetarian options: Good vegan meats. I had the eggplant and tofu, others had curries. Very yummy!“
“The owner is super friendly, and the service is fast. Wonderful Chinese vegan food. The owner said she has been in business for 20 years, and she has been vegan for 40 years! We got orange chicken (made from mushroom), lemon chicken, broccoli beef, chowmein. All were amazing and delicious, I agree with the high rating on google.Parking: Parking lot that is shared with other little shops, at the time we went there was no problem finding parking.“
“So good! I tried a number of menu items and loved each. The shrimp soup was perfectly spicy and packed with wonderful flavors, the appetizers (hot wings and chicken skewers) were outstanding and my entree - pad see ew with beef was just perfect. The service was ideal - helpful fast and informative. I'll definitely be back very often!“
“Who knew vegan ice cream could be this good? They have interesting flavors like Pineapple Cake, Twixx, and Bananas Foster on top of a crispy and crunchy gluten free waffle cone. Celiac guests rejoice!! They also sell containers of past flavors. Give this ice cream shop a try.“
“I was looking for vegan food in the area and stumbled upon this location. Their menu is huge. From vegan sushi, to pasta, Mexican dishes, breakfast, desserts, they have it all. I ordered nachos to start. Probably one of the best tasting nachos I've tried. We also ordered arrabbiata pasta, cauliflower steak and potatoes, white truffle pizza and chicken flautas. The drinks here are amazing and they serve alcohol. I didn't have room for dessert but this is not a place you come once. I have to make another trip to experience this again since their menu is so huge. They don't compromise flavor either. I'm kept forgetting the food was vegan. From the cheese to the meat, nothing was compromised. We had the sweetest waiter ever, Chris. He was so patient with us as it was our first time. Also, the ambiance of the place is adorable. Felt like a cozy cottage. An nice escape from the city especially after a long crazy day at Universal Studios, which is not too far. I will be back again! 10/10“
“I know this pizzeria for about 6 years. They have the best pizza in Winnetka, if I don’t exaggerate they have the best Persian pizza in Los Angeles. Every time I have a party, it doesn’t matter birthday party or just having my friends over for a football or basketball game, everyone ask me to order some cheese or pepperoni pizza from Thyme. We all recommend this place. Next time instead of ordering pizza from Domino’s or Papa Jons, try Thyme Pizzeria. You won’t regret. Also they have this heart shaped pizza which is good for special occasions like Valentine’s Day or anniversary.Vegetarian options: I’m not vegetarian. But I believe that if this place offers a fully vegan menu, vegetarians can find lots of vegetarian options. I’m not sure if they allow substitutions on their vegan menu it. But it doesn’t hurt to ask. Definitely, they have tons of vegetarian food.Dietary restrictions: They have another menu a full vegan menu with bunch of vegan specialty pizzas, vegan pastas, vegan appetizers, and vegan desserts. Also they offer gluten-free and cauliflower gluten-free pizzas. I’ve never tried those options.Parking: There are lots of free parking spaces.“
“If you're looking for a plant based Burger and you don't want impossible or beyond patties this is the place to go.Parking: It's easy to find parking in the parking lot.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menuWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“This spot has the best hummus in the Los Angeles area. The menu options, the aromas, the flavors will teleport and transcend you to an Israeli hummus experience like no other.Every bite was delicious and indeed yummy. There are several vegan options here that would make anyone want to return for more. My wife and I will.If you're in the area, don't miss Hummus Yummy!“
“With so many ppl affected by gluten sensitivity this was a welcome option. My dad was ecstatic to find this place and I was pleasantly surprised that I truly enjoyed the Fonut! Flavor profiles are on point and they're not overly sweet. Still light and cake like with added protein from the almond flour. These are a Win for sure“
“This restaurant is so great! My husband and some friends and I had a wonderful experience eating here. The atmosphere is cozy but with plenty of table space. We ordered several dishes to share and we enjoyed them all. I would highly recommend the popcorn vegan roll for sharing. We loved the sushi as well. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options“
“Food was good! But not a 4.8. Closer to a 3.5 or a 4. The meal we had was fairly standard vegan vietnamese cuisine, and on the pricier end considering location. I hoped there would be more straight tofu options on the menu (hopefully with some quality tofu), but it's mostly mock meat--which I know is usually soy-based-- but I don't enjoy it anywhere near as much as good tofu. It's good, just not worth a special trip from LA into the valley, like I had hoped given the very high rating.“
“This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants. It's actually a Thai restaurant and it's so amazing. Start with the soup. It's so delicious and authentically thai. I've never had a bad meal here and it's definitely one of my staples for Los Angeles. Yes, it is completely vegan!Vegetarian options: Menu is all vegan“
“Came in this Saturday morning and got treated with some amazing customer service from the staff. We were recommended by our barista to try their home Laurel latte. 10/10! It was great. Slightly strong, but very good. The places ambiance was aesthetically pleasing and room to even study or for some banter with friends. Definitely coming back!“
“This became my go-to place to take my boys (2,5) for after school guilt free treats! I love too that I can pick up some healthy snacks/drinks for myself too. I love the new salad line as well. I got the VIP and it's been so worth it!! Service is also great especially from Amanda I've become friendly with since we have kiddos the same age :)“
“I just had the best quinoa bowl EVER! I was craving warmth, nutritious and delicious and that's just what I got from Leo's vegan cafe.I've been looking for a vegan restaurant where you can taste love in the food for years in LA. Love is in the details, even with the confections that Leo's offer, I truly appreciated being able to read the ingredients that they put in their food on the counter for customers to read. Can't wait to experience the rest of the menu, We will be back!“
“ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITE VEGAN SPOTS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! It was located in such a great spot in LA! So many of the other Vegan spots had no dining or where hidden but this one was easy to find, the service was absolutely outstanding and the service was literally one of the best servers I’ve ever had! She was so lit up and full of life, so kind and one of the other servers was also so so kind! It was all Vegan and 100% ALL VEGAN GOLDEN JACKPOT OF GOLD! ? I can’t even emphasize enough how lovely this place was! There was nature inside and out, the presentation of the food was outstanding! They served me a drink in a fresh coconut and it was so so yummy + I got so so full and was so very overjoyed! You’ve got to try the Vegan crispy chicken sandwich it was so soooo yummy!! 15/10 ? I can’t recommend enough!“
“I just went to have dinner at this restaurant because of the reviews I've read. It's true, it's a cozy place with delicious food and kind service. I had the chicken Tikka Masala and my wife the Mango coconut Lamb, with butter naan and Mango Lassi. I had never had Indian plates before and I strongly recommend this restaurant if you like good food.“
“The food here is good. The service is always kind. The ambiance is that of Brazil. Their pão de queijo is delicious and so too is the go crazy açaí smoothie. Their Americano bowl is fantastic too. This is a great addition to the neighborhood.“
“So after many years of bad eating / good eating I decided to start eating better and cleaner again. I am not a vegan or vegetarian and still eat some lean meat and chicken from time to time but have been eating about 80 percent plant based / vegan etc. lately. Not a lot of vegan restaurants around but I've seen this place for years and decided to try it out. The lady at the front that took my order was super nice and welcoming. The menu here has some pretty great options and I was definitely impressed. I will definitely use this place as a go to now that I've made some changes to my diet. I tried a few things and all were very tasty. Give them a try! Enjoy...“
“This place is great, with amazing options and great servings. I love getting their club sandwich, their pizzas and their tuna melt! If I ever get a chance to go early enough I'll get their breakfast plates as well because they just look amazing! For me the best part about the place is easily the hot sauce they will hand you if you ask for it. They casually hand you the best hot sauce you've ever eaten in your life, and it's so amazing because it goes with ALL of their savory menu items! If you even remotely like spicy, please try the hot sauce, I feel like it's their hidden gem!“
“The O'Cado Burger was a 10/10. The vegan crabcakes had good presentation but it’s missing some flavor. The peach ice tea was unsweetened and would’ve been better with sweetness. The staff & hospitality is top notch.Clean, nice vibe and good music.“A” rating for food inspection.“
“If you're in LA on a Sunday, this is a must visit and fun day trip. The street is lined with vegan vendors and vegan food trucks. I got to try some great vegan dumplings, soft serve, wings, sushi, and donuts. The vibe is so much fun, and everyone is so nice. You'll even spot the owner making her Instagram reels.“
“The service was excellent! The guy at the counter was friendly. I ordered Pizza by the slice starting at $5 for cheese and added 3 toppings that were a $1 each. I didn't have to wait very long for it either. I'd like to try everything on there menu. They have sandwiches, pasta, garlic cheesy bread, desserts. It's a 100% vegan. I'll be going there again for sure.Dietary restrictions: They also have gluten free option.“
“First time here and definitely coming back!To begin, the staff was extremely friendly from beginning to end. We didn't realize they were closed already (the conversation was so good and time flew) and they were so polite when they said they were closed already.Regarding the food, we ordered the pad thai with tofu, the green curry with soy pepper steak and their chocolate cake with coconut and berries. My goodness everything was better than we expected + great portions!!!Vegetarian options: Vegan restaurant (the soy pepper steak is amazing!)Dietary restrictions: Ingredients listed out on the menu + they mention to note any dietary restrictions/food allergies.Parking: The restaurant is in a plaza which provides free 2-hour parking (lots of spots but since there are other shops in the parking lotKid-friendliness: Kid friendly environment“
“I am so happy I found this place!! This was one of my first times in Sherman Oaks, and I just wanted to find something to eat that would make me feel good and not run down when I’m on the go, so I’m stoked I found Harvest Bar. I’m not vegan but I love places that can make even a meat eater like myself love eating things like jackfruit nachos. The smoothie was delicious too and my friend got an acai bowl that was super fresh. Definitely gonna make this a go to spot when I’m over that way“
“Absolutely loved Johnathan's service. He gives me wonderful recommendations every single time. When I go to Pressed and see him I know I'm going to try something new and good. Thank you Johnathan for all your amazing help. Always looking forward to seeing you again. PS please let me know if you ever change locations. I'll follow you there.“
“I've had their food at Skate Oddity events and it is DELICIOUS! Worth the 20 minute wait. It's not fast food- made to order. So be patient. Yesterday I had the jerk "beef" tacos. The tortillas were grilled to be crispy and the beef filling and sauce was delicious. In the past, I had the pulled "pork" burrito which was also delicious. Very large portions. I always have leftovers or can share. I will definitely try more of their dishes. Excellent quality and taste.“
“The frame stand has the best vegan hotdogs. We've been vegan over four years so we've tried them all. This is by far the best. We got to try them at the gentle barn. Our meat eating family member who came along said she enjoyed it and it tasted good. Will definitely be getting one next time we come out! Worth the price!“
“Stylish modern Mexican restaurant with pretty interior and healthy food.Lots of vegan options and every meat or cheese ingredient can be replaced by vegan chicken or vegan cheese.Bowls were super tasty and loved the quesadillas as well.Friendly people here and free parking on site.Vegetarian options: Every meat or cheese ingredient can be replaced by vegan chicken or vegan cheese.“
“A Veggie Haven with Stellar ServiceVeggietize meI recently had the pleasure of visiting a charming veggie place for the first time, and I must say, it was quite an experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that set the tone for an enjoyable meal.Let's start with the food itself. As a vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for places that offer creative and delicious plant-based options, and this place exceeded my expectations. The burger I ordered was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and made from the freshest, highest quality ingredients. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures and tastes that left me craving for more. The chefs truly know how to transform simple vegetables into a mouthwatering delight. However, what truly set this place apart was the exceptional service. The manager, whom I assume was the boss, was as cool as they come. Their friendly demeanor and genuine passion for the food they serve were evident in every interaction. They took the time to explain the menu, making recommendations based on my preferences, and even shared some insights into the restaurant's philosophy. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and it made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff as a whole was attentive, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant visit. Despite the place being busy, they managed to provide prompt service without compromising on the quality of their interactions. I appreciated their attentiveness to detail, as they regularly checked in to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. In conclusion, my first visit to this veggie place left a lasting impression. The food was exceptional, showcasing the creativity and expertise of the chefs Junior, The standout feature, however, was the outstanding service I received from the manager and the entire staff. Their warm and friendly approach made me feel valued as a customer and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my dining experience.I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a veggie haven with impeccable service. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply looking to explore plant-based options, this establishment is sure to satisfy your taste buds while leaving you with a smile.Thank you so much for great customer service again and delicious food God bless these business and the owner and people who work there..“
