“as someone who has lived in Thailand for 5 years & accustomed to home cooked Thai meals - this place passes with flying colors compared to other Thai restaurants in the United States (esp Southern & Northern California). I was super happy they had Kow Krok Kapi (shrimp paste rice) - it was almost perfect & still yummy enough to introduce a new dish to friends. We had a ton of food family style for a party of 5 adults & 4 kids: 3 appetizers (spare ribs, chicken wings), 3 noodle dishes (tom yum w wide noodles, boat noodles, dry egg noodle), 2 Thai salads (som tum, nam tok), 2 rice-based dishes (fried rice, krok kapi), 4 rotis, 2 "big gulp" size Thai iced teas (equiv to 6-7 glasses) - I might have missed dishes - amazing value for what we paid even *after* recent price adjustments common across restaurants in 2023. A winner if you are looking for reasonably priced authentic Thai food in the Long Beach area.Vegetarian options: while we personally didn't make the request at this restaurant, Thai food can naturally be done vegan ("J") on request.“
“This is my me and my family's favorite Thai restaurant...of anywhere...ever. We miss eating here so much and are waiting patiently for the news that they are open again so we can eat to our heart's content. The best Pad-see-ew and chicken wings with Thai basil that cannot be made as good anywhere else. The curries incredible! We have never had anything here that wasn't amazing! It's all deliciousness. Please reopen soon!“
“The BEST Thai restaurant I’ve ever been in my life! We went to Long Beach for conference and found this cute local Thai restaurant which happens to be in Michelin guide. Foods were so good that we spent half of meals here. Definitely will come back and recommend to all friends! I’d say it’s the only worth trying restaurant in Long Beach area!“
“As their place is on the smaller size, we opted to do carry out since we were going for a saturday dinner. It wasn't a long wait and we reheated in the oven as soon as we got home. We got both Thai Curry and Tom Yum and both were SO good. Would totally come back for this again!“
“My go-to spot for Lao / Thai food in the L.B.C. I stopped in today & got soup because it was cold and rainy. Soooo good! I usually get the green papaya salad & / or pad see ewe but the soup hit the spot & was exactly what I needed. The owners are so kind. It really feels homey here. Down to earth service with delicious food & a comfy atmosphere. I came all the from the San Gabriel Valley because I knew it would not disappoint. The vibe here is so good & genuine. Sending blessings to these owners. The food & service brought sunshine to a gloomy day.“
“Hands down, best spot in Long Beach for Lao food. Me and my family frequently order delivery or will make the drive down to Signal Hill. It’s located in an unassuming plaza that also has an amazing sushi spot. My favorite dishes on repeat:Boat Noodle (I can’t order this anywhere else because I need the sour sauce that comes with this dish to cut the blood. Yes, the dark soup is made from blood!)Crispy PorkLao SausageTom Yum SoupKhao PiakFried Chicken WingsSom Tum (lao style papaya salad with the dark and fishy sauce - the only way I like it)Honestly, everything is authentic and delicious! It’s a simple spot. You order first and then take a seat. Your food will come out fast and hot. Don’t expect a waitress to take your order here.“
“Hadn’t been here in years. Have no idea why I’ve deprived myself of such great food!! Can’t beat the sunrise roll. Albacore sashimi was fresh and buttery. Staff was friendly and quick to seat and serve us. Love the art on the wall. Even background music was enjoyable. Great place for date night. Def adding back to our date night list!“
“I tried this little place with my friend a couple of weeks ago. It’s in a very eclectic neighborhood in Long Beach with lots of dining options nearby, and was glad we chose to eat here. I had the Pad Thai and my friend had yellow curry with rice. We both enjoyed our meals and got a good portion for a (very) reasonable price. The service was also very friendly and the restaurant had a very chill cafe/sit down restaurant fusion vibe going on that was really welcoming. I would go here again.“
“Best Thai food anywhere nearby, bar none! Owner and his wife serve you personally, make recommendations and cook some of the best food I've ever had. Standard dishes like pad Thai or fried rice with crispy pork or spicy green beans and beef, are made to perfection. They will accommodate allergies ( my wife is allergic to nuts) or whatever level of spice you are comfortable with. You need to try this food“
