Decided to try this spot since the 2nd location will open up soon in our area. The dining area is small w/ about 5 tables. There is also a table outside in the back.It took a really long time to get our food. What made it longer was the worker never apologized or acknowledged for the time, as he continued to pass by. Mely's is the best Salvadoran restaurant I have eaten at hands down. Although it is a small space with limited seating, the food is amazing! The owner is very hospitable and welcoming. She offered us the table outside which expands to accommodate at least 8 people. They get a lot of online delivery orders so you will need to wait a bit to get your food, but it is definitely worth the wait.

First time going in and my first thoughts were that the pupusas were expensive, but let me tell you how worth it they were. They were bigger than regular ones you're used, packed well and you can tell they make to order. The sauces are thick and delicious. I live in Van Nuys and will drive over the buy them. The first time I've seen and tasted the pupusa red sauce be thicker for once instead of too runny like most places. I must go bk to try their other menu items. Worth the money....read full review
