“Great atmosphere, definitely a nice date place. The service was great and friendly. I didn’t have a reservation but they were able to give me a seat at the bar. I ordered the onion soup and beef tartare. Supposedly onion soup is their signature dish, but it was really salty, I was a bit disappointed…. Because it was a $20 bowl of soup. The beef tartare was excellent, it would be nice if they offer one extra slice of bread and some more salad leaves. I was happy that they have half bottle of wine that I can order. Wine list is quite nice.”
“It was our first time there the waitress that helped us was very friendly and nice. I don’t remember her name otherwise I would stated here, but she was working on a Tuesday morning and she was also doing the bar. The food was delicious and her hospitality was very welcoming. I think it made the experience even better. Since it was our first time there she offered To give us garlic bread on the house, that was really nice of her. I’m definitely gonna come back and I will be referring friends and family. By the way, I had the short rib and the brisket with mac & cheese. The brisket was very good, but oh my God the short rib was amazing next time I’ll definitely be getting that again and I might just try the load of baked potato too”
“Great restaurant but couple things:1) the food, pastas in particular, are very heavy flavored, we went in large group and all of us had digestive upset that night.2) the server pushed us to order way too much. She had us order 12 dishes (not including bread) for our party of 6 adults and asserted it would be a light meal. We ordered at least three dishes too many. And we are not light eaters. We were not happy with her guidance.”
“This place is excellent. Every dish we tried was good, but the standouts for me were the clam toast and crispy potatoes. The bread for the toast was perfect and the potatoes were just the right amount of fluffiness on the inside and crispy outside. My mouth is watering just writing this. The trout was worth getting as well. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.”

“Nick's always delivers great food at reasonable prices. My wife had the seafood cioppino with was good but it didn't have any scallops or crabs in it. The broth had a lot of cooked tomatoes. I had the meatloaf which was very good. Service was great and the sour dow bread is the best.”

Sushigah
“I recently dined at a sushi restaurant in Pasadena. It's conveniently located close to public parking, which was a plus. The sashimi combo was excellent, and the side dishes complemented the meal perfectly. Overall, it was a great dining experience.”

“Food was absolutely delicious !! Loved the Blondie wings and the Alabama white sauce (tastes like the mayo that you put on esquites and elotes). The fries were delicious too, not too salty and a little sweet. Also had some mac and cheese (it was bomb), and the brisket sandwich was really good too :-)!!”

“If I could give the service a 10000/5 I would. The entire staff was AMAZING. Attentive, thoughtful and all around kind guys. The chicken tenders and the comeback sauce were so flippen delicious! If you are nearby, this is a MUST STOP destination.”
“A beautiful date night spot where you can sit beneath string lights nestled in an alleyway, listening to live music (plus, they have outdoor heaters!). Plates are tapas style and the bar is full, with an advantage for mezcal enthusiasts. Bonus- The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They recommended some drinks for us to try and gave us some suggestions on the entrees. The drinks were great and we recommend the sea bass! Nice atmosphere with good service and lots of mezcal.”

“Serving some of the best seafood in Pasadena! Situated at the heart of beautiful Old Town Pasadena, Fishwives is a solid spot if you're looking for variety and a bit of a change from your usual American greasy food.Their ceviche is outstanding and so fresh; the fried oysters on devilled eggs were incredibly flavourful and cooked to perfection - with the right amount of crunch; the lobster roll was scrumptious with chunks of lobster meat in every bite; and their fish and chips were outstanding - featured a great crispy batter paired with their excellent fries. Everything that we ordered was great plus service was spot-on!Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for seafood in the Pasadena area.”

“The best croissants in the area, a bit pricey but worth it. The coffee is also really good! Lots of seating inside but it gets busy at Open and especially on the weekends. Go before 12 if you can, they sell out! Parking is street only.”
“Excited to see the article from Eater LA. Ordered crispy fried chicken and Indonesian fried rice. Fried Chicken is crispy and delicious. I found the Indonesian food is a bit sweet to my taste. Overall is great!”
“I liked the food, I thought that a cachapa that is without any protein, should have a more normal price, but good flavor, they charge for paying by card which doesn't seem fair to me”
“Got the orange cauliflower bowl and the naughty fries to go. Both were delicious and filling! So many new and interesting flavors on the naughty fries. Will definitely be back to try out other items.”
“I was in the area for work and a coworker actually recommended this place to me! It seems to be one of those trusty college delis that suddenly appeared one day and permanently becomes student lore. Inside, I found a quant mini-market stocked with a bunch of snacks, drinks, and the counter for ordering. The worker (i forgot his name!) helped us immediately, and I ordered the pastrami. I sat outside, where there were plenty of tables with shade! The worker brought out the sandwich to us, and I thought it was huge! The price seemed a bit high for ne, but that wasn't too big of a concern since the sandwich was jam packed with meat and kraut. The flavor wasn't too salty for me, and had the right amount of flavor with the bread. This was a great spot, and I'll have to stop by again.”
“Such a cute spot for coffee and lunch. They have good sandwiches, croissant, and coffee. Indoor and outdoor seatings available.I ordered:1. Matcha latte with oatmilk2. Chicken pesto sandwich3. El doe sotelo - egg whites, roasted and fresh tomatoes, fresh cilantro, avocado and olive oil. Black beans on the side. This is arepas for breakfast with the choice of scramble eggPaid street parking is available for this Pasadena downtown area.”
“The pasta here is so good! I highly recommend the pomodoro and the carbonara! Their truffle pasta is also really yummy! Ambiance and staff are also really nice and friendly.”
“I'm not too much a fan of fries these days, but the chicken was incredible! I wish the wasabi flavor came through a bit more, but it was all really good. Very nice owner and employee, great experience all around. A bit expensive for me, but so is everything in Pasadena. They seemed to go really hard in on the branding and I hope it pays off!!”

“A sleeper hit in Pasadena. I’m probably in the minority here but my staple dish to get at a desi place is the bhindi masala. The execution at Akbar is impeccable. Fat, fresh okra sautéed with the sweetest caramelized onions topped with crunchy roasted cumin and a splash of what I’m guessing is amchurs bright acidity to cut through the meticulously charred edges. The paneer makhani and coco lamb were also enjoyed by my more mainstream butter chicken craving compatriots. The sides are also worth a mention - the raita is a perfect companion to the coco lamb, and the garlic naan is so long you could fit the Mahabharata on it compared to the standard soft taco sized offerings of other establishments. Oh did I mention free parking next door at the Green Tree motel? My only regret is waiting 2 years to come here after passing by it so many times.”

“Best kept secret in Pasadena. Call to get on their reservation list. The best food I have ever had in apasadena, hands down. Authentic Spanish style eveything!!!”

“Amazing food, ambiance, wine, and staff! Tucked away on Holly St., a few blocks over from Colorado. Old town local vibe. Super chill. I've been trying new restaurants in the area and decided to pop in early on a Fri nite. Got a seat at the counter overlooking the chef preparing all the meals. Ordered a rose, very tasty. Short ribs with mash potatoes. Amazing! I will definitely be back to try more things. Highly recommend. We really don't have anything like this in Pasadena.”
“One of my favorite sit down Thai restaurants in San Gabriel Valley. The food is delicious, the decor is nice, and great service. I love their Yellow Curry (with Chicken). The only downside of this location is the parking.”
“Had a great meal here. I have gluten allergy and was worried they didn’t have anything gluten-free because the menu online didn’t mention it. However, I called and the person I spoke to was amazing and knowledgeable about the options. There were not tons but enough that there were things I could eat. I had the Bento box and they were able to adjust it so everything was GF. That did come with a hefty surcharge but it’s worth it to me to know it’s all safe to eat. Sashimi is also an option however nigiri and rolls are not because there is soy in the rice.I’ve knocked down my review because there are plenty of Japanese restaurants that fully accommodate gluten allergies and I’ve been told by chefs and owners that at this point it’s not hard to do.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options but next extensive. The nigiri and rolls are not GF as there is soy in the rice (as of the time of my review)”
“Couldn't pronounce most items and decided to order a little bit of everything on the menu to try. manta with the works: little dumplings with sauce. The sauce was a bit watery. Not as flavorful as I thought it'd be but fun to try. Su beoreg: some kinda cheese pastry. It was cheesy and delicious Salmon sandwich: big portion and a healthy choice garlic cream soup: not too garlicky. But I loved the little dumplings that came with soup.”
“Return To Order Delivery Boneless Chicken & Ground Beef Combo. Very Nice Service Of The Restaurant Gives To My Requesting For Chicken Thigh Instead Of Chicken Breast , Appreciated. Very Good Taste.”
“The coffee and food here is fantasticParking: Street parking is freeKid-friendliness: A great place to bring children from all agesWheelchair accessibility: Yes there is wheelchair access to the restaurant”
“The atmosphere is great, youre not going to be disappointed there. Service was fantastic, they work together as a team to clear and get food out quickly. The calamari and rigatoni were enjoyable. Though the mushroom pasta did leave more to be desired, we look forward to dining in again.”
“Pasadena and downtown this last fortnight. Nostagic deliciousness @parkwaygrill, peerless steaks. Returning there for the fourth time - our first visit was in 1994. Last night we enjoyed @majordomola . Koreanish food, at it's best generous and full flavoured. Standouts include the pork shoulder, duck confit rice and the flambe(d) doughnuts.Next time we'll try their signature rib dish too. Take an appetite and lots of family. Also loved Houstons. Beautiful restaurant with signature French dip sandwich @houstonsrestaurants”

“This is a small but filled of warmth restaurant. You need to wait in line for a while but is quick. The ramen here is authentic and the soup flavor is pretty nice and rich. I like their teriyaki chicken wings, it tasted sooo great. The gyoza has 8 pieces but not expensive. They have three flavors of ramen and you can choose the quantity of meat. Also they have thin and thick noodles can choose. The service here is friendly and serving speed is fast. The atmosphere here is warm and delicate. Great!I stumbled into this small ramen shop by chance. There are only three types, clear tonkotsu, heavy tonkotsu and spicy miso. However, the soup is great, rich and not too salty, and the meat is very smooth and tender but not greasy. I ordered the teriyaki chicken wings. Very, very recommended! The skin is very crispy, the meat is super soft and tender! The fried dumplings are average but not very generous. The service and environment are pretty good!”
“Service was amazing, they're so kind and explain everything on the menu. The vibe is not as fancy or romantic as expected, a little empty but still nice. Pricing isn't too bad either. I wouldn't mind going again.”
“Wow! I randomly found this place and it’s fantastic. Definitely a hidden gem. Loved the asian fish and chips but unfortunately forgot to take a pic! Everything on the menu looked amazing and I will definitely be back to try something new.Edit: I went back a second time and it was just as good as the first! The southern sea bass and collard greens… Amazing.”
“I recently dined at Atmosphere and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the service was impeccable. The man with the black blazer provided exceptional service throughout the evening. As for the food, dinner exceeded my expectations – it was absolutely delicious. I had previously visited for lunch and wasn’t as satisfied, but I’m glad I gave it another try for dinner. I highly recommend trying the dinner menu; it’s definitely worth it!”

“Beautiful combo of lighting & unfinished wood inside with several different style seating areas. Fresh made pasta appetizer was spectacular! Mediterranean sea bass was excellent, if a bit small. Beef brisket was absolutely delicious, although corned beef style, which our server alerted us to before ordering. Old fashioned and East side cocktails were both solid. Service was helpful and attentive. Would highly recommended for a nice dinner out.”
“Malbec was recommended to me by a good friend, and it is now my favorite steakhouse. Not necessarily that they make the best steak ever (9 out of 10), no, it's because almost everything on the menu is delicious. Tons of flavor and cooked to perfection. Been there 3 times and each time was just as perfect as the last. The consistency is terrific and the environment is awesome.”
“Flavorful food and great cocktails in an Orleans-vibe atmosphere. I had the braised chicken with peanut sauce. It was super tender. Why can't I carmelize sweet potatoes that good? Husband had jalapeño flank steak. The angel biscuit was straight out of the oven. OMG.”
“Historical Pasadena restaurant that some people forget about. I hadn’t been here for years until this evening. I’d give 5 stars, but my pork chop was dry and little overcooked. Everything else was wonderful, including the drinks. It’s very intimate inside, but as the restaurant fills up it gets quite loud. The patio is covered and heated, but you may find yourself having to talk over the nearby tables or road noise. Valet parking only, $8 at the time of this review. There is street parking available on Fair Oaks though.”
“We came here for the very first meal of Dragon Year. It was a fantastic experience, cool vibe, top quality, amazing sauce bar and snack! My favorite hotpot restaurant evaaa!”
“Trendy 21st century meets old Pasadena. I love the design and decor of this place. This is a great spot for orderves and drinks. The owner, is a solid guy who genuinely cares about the people around him, his restaurant and customers.Go support a good man!”
“Located in the old railway station this place still feels like a railway station hall when you look up and take in the whole space. Food is excellent, well prepared and well presented.”
“6 of stopped for lunch on a trip. diane the owner, was so generous and we all loved the traditional mideastern flavors- especially falafels, great Greek dressing and amazing pistachio dessert”
“Fantastic coffee and incredible food program, in a location that would seemingly be difficult to make work if it wasn’t 5-stars all around.I don’t think there is a weak spot on their menu. Pasadena is lucky to have this place!”
“This place is very cool. Aside from the somewhat kitschy "secret" entrance (which was probably much more "in" 10 year ago), they really do create a unique cocktail experience. From the creative menus, perfectly balanced drinks, glass where, and presentation--they really have it dialed in. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. And even the food menu, despite being somewhat limited, left us very happy. Definitely not a weekly hangout, but worth discovering for yourself.”
“Very surprised by the quality. Ordered the ground chicken kebab (koobideh) and the white meat chicken kebab. The flavor and quality was great. Getting chicken Koobideh to be flavorful is an uphill battle since it’s just ground chicken. This was beautifully seasoned, charred and juicy. Generous portions of beautifully cooked rice with salad and grilled vegetables and pita bread round it all out for a very competitive price in this inflation age. I wish there was an M Grill closer to where I live in Joshua Tree.”
“Super nice restaurant! Difficult to find because it looked like an abandoned spot where the restaurant was located…but it totally fit with the exclusive atmosphere! Super delicious Beef Wellington and Cesar Salad!”
“First time dining in at Lunasia Pasadena and it won't be our last! We attended an event at the Pasadena convention center on 3/9/24. We walked around to find a good place for dinner and Yelp guided us to. Lunasia. We checked in and got on the waitlist. A few minutes later, we were greeted and got seated. It was nice to not have to wait for a while as the restaurant seemed busy. We placed our order online and not long after, our food started to arrive. Everything was delicious! We ordered a lot! Shumai, hargow, seafood pan fried noodles, salt and pepper suid, salt and pepper pork chops, orange chicken, shrimp eggrolls, pork soup dumplings, deep fried chicken wings, pork puff and sesame red bean balls. Everything was tasty and delicious! How you expect some food to be crunchy, they were crunchy! Those that are supposed to be moist and juicy, they were! The flavors of each item were on point! Can't stop talking about how good the food was. Prices are comparable to others. Servings were good portions. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff worked as a team and they took care of everyone that needed anything. The ambiance was also great. Modern and clean. They also have an upstairs so they can accommodate large groups. They are located in Pasadena on Colorado blvd. We parked at PCC for $15 and it was worth it. It was close to a mall and other restaurants. If you haven't tried Lunasia and you love shumai, you have to try this place bc you will love everything about it!”

“I don't understand why people goto other eateries...Carl's Jr is the only establishment that cooks meat proper...with fire? It's having my favorite BBQ food, burgers...but better, since their super efficient staff like Teresa and Issac, take care of all the non-yummy aspects of a delicious lunch. I get all the goodies and none of the hassle. Kudos to Carl's, keep up the great work!”

“If you're like me and you get hungry at 3am in the morning, you're looking at the right restaurant! The tacos were amazing. The onions and salsa added nice, crunchy and delicious flavors to the meat. I did find it a little interesting how they used lemons, but hey, it tasted good so no complaints from me! I also enjoyed the tacos much more than the fries, but my sister enjoyed them so to each their own, I suppose. Service was pretty fast (~10 mins), and the cashier was very kind. Chill vibes, quiet environment.. that's what I'm looking for at 3am. If you are too, give them a try! :)”
“I go to Starbucks a lot, and so far, I've only had great service. So, they deserve 5 stars.Parking: Parking is the same everywhere. If you find it quick, you've done well.”
“After a great evening spent with family on float row on New year's eve we were hungry. So we found this Jack in the box drive thru open. Curly fries ( always a must), A bacon jumbo jack, a couple orders of TACOS and sodas later, we were happy campers. There was very little to no wait time and the food was hot and fresh. Nothing was greasy or looked rushed together. I appreciate the workers working on the holiday and their amazing attitudes. The guy at the drive thru was so nice. He offered us our condiments and if there was anything else we needed. He listened to our small talk/laughs. Definitely a nice way into 2024 considering it was 1:30am. Thank you!Ps.. sorry I don't have any pictures. We were so hungry, we just ate with happy tummies”
“Awesomely delicious and exceptional customer service! Our immediate servers Norma and Marco were amazingly above and beyond, as well as every staff member we came in contact with. BIG KUDOS to IHOP Arcadia on Baldwin!!!??????????????????????????”
“Del Taco is Fantastic!! So good. Whether it's a Monday or it's a Saturday morning or night, Del Taco 24/7 is a Clutch option. Everything from breakfast menu to Mexican food or a Classic Double del Cheeseburger ? with amazing fries ? your Good to Go. Del Taco thank you for All you do...Your ”
“Love their sauces!Jack spicy chicken was dry. The sauces masked the dryness.Tacos were good and greasy.Curly fries were tasty. If you want deals, download their app.If you come through the drive through and they're busy, they make you park and wait where you have to come in and get your order.”
“Please explain to me why do we have to pick a number and place it on the table, if no one from your staff will deliver the food to the table, what is the purpose? The order has a number and you can use that number instead of a table number. We ended picking up the order ourselves. Also, no napkins, no ketchup, no straw were provided had to ask for each item. No attention of whatsoever was needed. The food was great; however, it is noticable the absence of a staff member filling up the necessities of the client. Won't be back there. South Pasadena has great service.”

“We came here for the very first meal of Dragon Year. It was a fantastic experience, cool vibe, top quality, amazing sauce bar and snack! My favorite hotpot restaurant evaaa!”
“Come earlier to avoid the long waiting time. The waitress is so kind of changing tables for us, because we ordered too much to fit the two person table So, the food comes with large service, order less beginning, add more if necessary. Very pleasant vibes ?. Love it!”
“Food five stars, service five stars...The food is good, I like spicy but they have a good balance of flavor that made the extra spice I usually like unnecessary, the portions are generous. I don't really like mole but after trying some of their mole, I don't think I can continue saying that. The restaurant is cozy, clean and has good/attentive staff. Our server was Rene and he is courteous and attentive, next time I will try their desserts I just wasn't ready for their portions and got full / was left with no room for dessert. The four stars on the atmosphere section is only because, for me to truly judge a restaurant's atmosphere you need to experience it during its busy time when it's buzzing with people and all the staff is present. I love that it is cozy, it is and feels like an authentic family restaurant. I don't like taking pictures of my food as it gets in the way of fully being present and enjoying the experience so go see it and taste it for yourselves. I recommend it.”
Takeout Restaurants
“I highly recommend Yvonne‘s vegan kitchen. Yvonne has some of the best desserts, breads, and pastries that you can’t find anywhere else. I literally drive from Orange County all the way out to Pasadena because her desserts and bread are so amazing. Yvonne goes above and beyond and she is a very kind-hearted Soul and I would not want to put my money into any other business. Yvonne made a special birthday pie for me years ago over six years ago and I still think about it to this day. That’s how amazing it was.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free friendly”
“By far the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in the area. Tastes delicious, feels healthy, and the staff is wonderfully warm and welcoming. I feel fortunate to have a place like this so close to home!”
“A sleeper hit in Pasadena. I’m probably in the minority here but my staple dish to get at a desi place is the bhindi masala. The execution at Akbar is impeccable. “I love the coffee here but unfortunately don't go very much as they no longer have wifi. As someone who works remotely, wifi is essential for me. I really hope they bring back the wifi so that this can be my go-to spot for coffee and work.”
“Located right on Green before Wilson, only street parking available. Absolutely love their Thai Tea soft serve. They do have other flavor drinks available, both hot and cold. Freshly made cookies also for sale. You do have the option to make the soft serve into a float with different tea options. If it’s your first time here get the “Trophy” which includes all the toppings except for Oreo crumbs. No tables or public bathroom, just a single bench seat while you wait for your order.”
“Decided to give it a try today since it was on my route home. Ordered the farmer style pork and green pepper. It's not the usual fatty pork you'd get from other chinese food places, but it's delicious either way. Less fatty, but still full of flavor. Portion is what you paid for. Spicy level is true to what spicy is all about. Will come again to try their mapo tofu and kungfu boiled beef since from this simple dish alone it does look promising.”
“This was the perfect size mini pies for all your cravings. Sweet & savory- love it! We purchased an order of 6 for 4 of us and left 2 for our host. Had the key lime, berry, variety of others. Didn't try savory pies but those looked yummy! We will be back”
“BABY! I do NOT play about coffee, living in seattle made me a whole coffee connoisseur and this place is spot on. I love when I can taste the flavors and still taste the COFFEE cus I don’t drink coffee for sugar I want to taste that espresso. On top of it the staff is so friendly I was literally going to a place for 6 months every other day and they didn’t bother to learn my drink or name like what? I will be back and I will bring my friends!!! So many options I am excited about!”
“A little pricey for what you get. Dude at the cashier is not friendly what so ever. After I paid for my to go order, the receipt printed out and he was standing there waiting for me to add a tip. Personally, if you want a tip, be polite and friendly. And I believe tips should be given if the service is great or if someone eats in and they have to clean up after them. Not just because.. again, I would have tipped if he was polite even though I’m taking it to goParking: Not much to talk about”
“Amazing ice cream with tons of different flavors, handmade everyday. The milkshakes, malts, banana splits, and etc., are just as amazing. The price is just right for premium handmade ice cream. You can even get a pint or a quart of your favorite ice cream(s) to go if you really want. The only downside is that there is no indoors, you order your food through window openings at the counter, while standing outside. But it makes sense, since there really isn't enough room for an indoor section. It's not a big deal though, as once you get your ice cream you can jump back in your car and finish it at home.”
“We had some delicious shawarma platters! The number of combinations you can make with the sides and upgrade to the fattoush salad is great. We had one chicken shawarma platter with rice, babaganoush, and labneh and one chicken shawarma platter with fattoush salad, garlic paste, and pita chips. All of it was very tasty. The garlic Toum was particularly good, as was the fattoush salad. Each platter comes with two thin pitas (the best kind). The shawarma was a more stewed chicken with onions and tomatoes than the usual kind of dry shredded off the skewer but it was so flavorful! Maybe best not to get it on rice because the ice absorbs all the liquid. We also got a cilantro jalapeno hummus that had a tiny bit of a kick. Everything was good, and the people were very friendly. We will have to come back to try more things!”
“Loved the variety of ingredients that they had, Great location with lots of parking. The staff was very helpful and very willing to help us out and try our samples. Jedah the staff was very friendly and Norman was very informative about every single ingredient. I would recommend this place for first timers and people who get a lot of açaí! There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Would recommend this place!”
“Come here all the time. Food portions are very generous and the coffee here is great. A bit on the strong side at times but you’re definitely getting your moneys worth. The breakfast burrito, crepe, French Toast combo, and of course their açaí bowls are my favorites. They make a pretty hearty breakfast sandwich as well.Because their portions are big, don’t come here expecting to pick up fast food. The service is not slow. These people work hard to get your food orders ready accurately but wait time for your meal could be anywhere from 10-18 minutes. But when I tell you it’s worth the wait, trust me. I come here before work and order ahead for my lunch breaks.Staff is of course always great and friendly.”
“i never leave reviews but this has been so wonderful i had to!! all the staff went out of their way to welcome me in. The patio was adorable. The food came out so quickly, and was delicious (and i moved here from texas!) highly recommend :)”
“Fast casual on another level. Great spot! Tritip steak sandwich and ahi tuna bowl left me feeling good about the world. Bread reminded me to enjoy the simple things.”

“So I've been wanting to come since they've opened. Today finally got that chance. I loved the designs in the walls and the colors throughout. We got a flight of beers to try them out. Pale ale, IPA, sour, and sweet and spicy. They were really good. All the ladies there were so kind and helpful. We had a great time. They played great salsa and Latin vibes kind of music. Felt like I wasn't in Pasadena. The manager Martin was really cool and I loved that he's been experimenting with all kinds of fruits . The guava beer and the serrania were my favorite and both on point with the right amount of flavor. They also have food trucks out front. Check their IG for more info.”

“Great place to just chill, relax and have a cortado. Or wine on certain nights. There’s also a small fine art gallery inside for exhibition and collecting if that piques your interest!”
“Been here many times while living in E Pasadena. Moved away in 2018 and came back for the first time today. Quality of food always been consistent for me. Had the breakfast plate which is not hard to mess up. Potatoes perfectly seasoned. Only negative is the gal who rang me up at 7am…no greeting, no smile, sappy face, attitude. Never seen her before…ticket said “Manager,” on it. I hope not as she’s setting the standard there.”
“I had breakfast at Wonder Burgers and it was my first time visiting this restaurant. I had the egg and sausage sandwich and I was totally surprised how big it was. I expected a sausage patty like McDonald's or other fast food restaurants. Instead, they were four extremely tasty sausage links along with the eggs and mayonnaise and tomatoes. I only wanted to eat half because it was so large. I ate the whole thing because it was delicious. I also asked for orange juice and they served me a very large cup of orange juice, which was also very delicious. The people were super friendly and she explained the menu to me and that breakfast was an offer two people and it was about $12. I definitely will go back when I'm in the area.Parking: There was plenty of parking in their parking lot.”
“Had a really great dinner at Yard House before AGT! Me and my company were not from LA so we were very glad to pick Yard House before our main event that evening. Poke nachos were soooo good. As well as my main the sandwich with truffle fries. Drinks were amazing as well and would 100% come back here. The bar is most likely the highlight of yard house as it was long , glowing, and very welcoming. Drinks looked really good. Me and my company sat in a booth but it was worth the money spent included with the service , food , and atmosphere. Thanks yard house for a delicious meal before a big show!”
“Vegetarian options: My friend doesn't eat meat grilled cheese fries shake yummy gave extra cheese just becauseDietary restrictions: I love the burger fresh fries warm deliciousParking: I usually go to the drive thruKid-friendliness: Stickers The workers are so friendly happy full of spirit I love itWheelchair accessibility: Available parking”
“I eat the sandwiches all year long. I love the ham and the ribs from this place too! They have so many excellent choices of meats, sides, cakes and pies. The staff is so kind and helpful. I live closer to another HoneyBaked Ham but I come to the Pasadena store for the service and flavorMuch better than Glendale!! or any other HoneyBaked Ham store in the area ?Vegetarian options: The California veggie sandwich is sooo good! There are other good sides that are vegetarian too. Desserts are generally vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free optionsKid-friendliness: Kids like most of the menu”
“The birria is so juicy and tender. The soup was so flavorful yet felt light and fresh with the cilantro added in there. The folks behind the counter was very generous and kind. Will be back!”
“The people that work at this Taco Bell are so nice! The lady that is at the drive thru always has a smile on her face and always nice! So refreshing to see at a fast food place. The food is always good here too! Only downfall is if you wanna eat there, they only have 2 tables.Parking: They have like 5 parking spots but everyone does drive thru here”
“I love this coffee shop so much! Always so quick and the orders are always perfect. The pumpkin spice has turmeric in it I think? It's a different flavor but so delicious”
“Starbucks offers a comforting escape from the daily grind, and their Caramel Macchiato is a standout treat for any coffee enthusiast. This indulgent concoction of espresso, velvety steamed milk, and sweet caramel syrup perfectly balanced with a dash of vanilla is a true delight for the taste buds. The rich espresso flavor harmonizes beautifully with the creamy milk, while the caramel adds a luxurious sweetness that lingers with each sip. Whether hot or iced, the Caramel Macchiato at Starbucks never fails to impress.Beyond the exceptional coffee, Starbucks provides an inviting atmosphere ideal for catching up with friends. The cozy ambiance, coupled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, creates the perfect setting for engaging conversations and laughter. Whether you're grabbing a quick caffeine fix on your lunch break or settling in for a leisurely afternoon, Starbucks offers a welcoming space for socializing and relaxation.Additionally, the friendly and efficient staff ensure that every visit is a pleasant experience. Their expertise in crafting the perfect beverage, along with their warm demeanor, adds to the overall charm of the establishment. From the first sip of your Caramel Macchiato to the final moments spent chatting with friends, Starbucks provides a memorable and enjoyable coffeehouse experience that keeps patrons coming back for more.”
“Very friendly staff! Very clean inside as well! I always come to this Carl's Jr. ! Super friendly inside and in the drive through! Mark is great, he is on top of things and catered to everything we needed!”
“Raymond has made our experience at habit amazing. He provided excellent customer service. His kitchen crew is on point with the food. Food is made well and tasty .”
“I love Chick-fil-A and usually go to the one near PCC. I stopped by this one because I was closer to it.I did the drive thru and their ordering system through their workers is very efficient. Excellent customer service and I ordered a spicy chicken deluxe in a lettuce wrap with waffle fries. The Chick-fil-A sauce is always a must and overall the meal was excellent.I’d definitely come back here again for all my Chick-fil-A needs.***Update***Customer service by Blain was excellent, probably one of my favorite Chick-fil-A spots!”
“This is a real Gem! The kids absolutely LOVED the space and toys. The customer service was great and the smoothies were on point! It's a large location, very clean”
“The quality to price at Tom's is unbeatable! The food here is much better than you would expect at a drive thru spot. The line can be a little slow, but it's because their making you're food as you order. If I want to get food but I'm tired and don't want to get out of the car, Tom's is the place I go.”
“The atmosphere is great, youre not going to be disappointed there. Service was fantastic, they work together as a team to clear and get food out quickly. The calamari and rigatoni were enjoyable. Though the mushroom pasta did leave more to be desired, we look forward to dining in again.”
“This is one of my favorite pizza places now. The photo gallery in their website totally does the pizza justice. It is as good as it photographs! I never had Detroit-style pizza. I don't take part in the Great Pizza Debate with regional styles vying for Best Pizza Ever. Pizza is either good or it's average. The flavors and textures between cheese, crust and sauce are either balanced and each component delicious, or the magic just doesn't happen. Whenever I try thick, rectangular pizza slices I'm always disappointed in either sauce, cheese, or crust. I always hoped that pizza would taste like these slices. This pizza is the paradigm of what a thick square slice of pizza should be-- a sauce that is deliciously balanced between sweet, tangy, and savory-- the perfect intermediary between cheese and carbs. Speaking of carbs, a nice thick crust, just doughy enough to feel your teeth sink into, but with the edges perfectly carmelized to support the slice as it makes its way to your pizza pie-hole. The cheese was-- well, cheese, but cheese that goes all the way to the edge of the crust, caramelized to a deep golden brown against the pie pan. On this maiden visit, we tried both the Margherita and the Biggio. The Biggio is their version of a meat lover's pizza-- pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, and bacon. The ham and bacon, however, lent a smoky flavor -- almost too barbecue-ish -- for a non-bbq pizza. I know this is Detroit pizza but it was almost a little too un-Italian to us. The Margherita pizza, on the other hand, was crave-worthy. The cheese, sauce, and crust converged into a balance of flavor -- sweet, savory, and tangy, as well as texture -- doughy, crispy, the cheesy stretchiness, the caramelized edges.... I thought this slice was pizza, pure and simple, delicious in its simplicity. Even the tomato slices seemed to be cut the right thickness. I got ours to-go and tried calling ahead-- several times. No go, so I had to order when I got there. The pizzaria (suite #203) lives on the second floor of a two story mini-mall, overlooking the street-side dining lanes on Colorado. The parking lot is also on the second floor which is convenient, the entrance of which is on Mentor, just south of Colorado. Our order took 20 minutes to prepare-- well worth the wait. We also ordered a Caesar salad. Their Caesar was a mix of iceberg and romaine and was fine. Just know that their Caesar salads are tossed-- a dealbreaker for some if you're not into lifeless salads. Just remember this if you're ordering to-go and have to drive a ways before digging in. There is no soda fountain in the restaurant. Beverages are canned. After trying their pizza I appreciate this. I also liked how their menu is simple-- there are just two salads offered and most importantly their pizza, but really, their pizza is all you'll really need. Detroit or otherwise, it's just really good pizza.”

“One of my go to restaurants in Pasadena, highly recommended! Excellent service with incredible favors! Outstanding french dishes like Escargo, Confit de Canard, and Carré d'Agneau à la Fleur de Lavande. This is the restaurants I take people to when they visit me.”
“You guys, this place is awesome! Our party of 6 tried several things from the menu and everything was fantastic. Our bottle of sake was awesome and so was the service. This is a cozy romantic darkly lit space that you should definitely try! Nadia was our server and her recommendations were on point. We can't wait to come back for date night! Be prepared to drop some $$$$ but it's worth it!”
“The service was great. I was shocked that actually Lamb chops were not on the menu. I did not like that it was so dark. I could barely read the menu. I also didn't like that everything was a la carte. They did have chops, on menu of the night. They were pretty good. Def worth the $55. And the sides were good. I had mac, Brussels & mash. All good. We also had a chocolate soufle. It was soo silky & smooth. Definitely worth saving space. I did like the flowers outside & I also recommend a reservation b/c they seem to be pretty popular. Dinner for 3 was $350.”
“Hugo made my friend's birthday celebration so fun and unforgettable. The service, food and ambience were excellent. We can't wait to return again as the whole meal was super delicious.”
“One of our favorite steak restaurants to celebrate special occasions. Must go on Tuesdays for their tomahawk Tuesday meal deal. Service is always on point and great atmosphere at this location. Lobster Mac and cheese is highly recommended. Porterhouse and tomahawk steaks are amazing and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant to celebrate that special occasion.”
“Where do I start, the service was unlike anything else I've ever experienced, Jayce went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food, just wow! From the shooters, to the octopus, to the steak, and my goodness the Oreo soufflé! You must come and experience this place!!!”
“Jumbo shrimp was spectacular , as was the steak tar tar ! I was thrilled to get a table without a reservation ! This place is super high class with a extensive wine cellar . White table cloths and the high back chairs for lots of privacy ! to come here and eat alone and be treated well meant the world to me . everyone was wonderful with that black tie affair feel .cant wait to come back !”
“The atmosphere is really good! How they great you at the door is awesome. They have really quick sushi rolls and the presentation is beautiful. I only rated the food a four because they recycle a lot of rolls what I mean by this is the menu is basically all the same with one change to a roll here and there. I think more flavor options and diversifying the menu would serve wonders. It wouldn’t keep me from this place, the classics are always good”
“Pasadena and downtown this last fortnight.
Cheap Eats
“I used to come here when they were a Mexican establishment but I'm glad they reopened as Kings. Everything is dank and the portions are generous. Extremely reasonable prices for the amount of food. I recommend the breakfast burritos, chilaquiles (pictured), and the smash burgers. I am bummed they did away with the sipper fries however. 5/5 atmosphere based completely off the mural of Homero (pictured).Parking: There's an auxiliary lot on the other side of Hen's Tooth Squate”
“Excellent bang-for-your-buck easy eats place for lunch.Huge variety of tacos for $3ea. Service is fast and the food itself was delicious. I recommend the calabacitas.”
“This place is a gem, we drive 20 miles to eat here, food is amazing so delicious, atmosphere and service is emasculate, this is a all star restaurant.Kid-friendliness: My daughter is very picky and she loves it”
“I had a list of 10 Mediterranean places to go to lunch with my friend in Pasadena and I am glad I narrowed it down to this one. Now, I was a little weary about the food coming out as soon as we were paying BUT the food was pretty amazing. This just tells me that they are super efficient during lunchtime on a Saturday! The food was very flavorable and they have the best garlic spread I have ever eaten in my entire life! We will definitely be back! Not pictured here but don't miss out on the tzatziki either!”
“A cute place to get that sweet tasty treat. You can come in and sample the different flavors they have before you finally decide on the ones you want. The waffle cone is the way to go, get the split scoop you’re gonna want more than one flavor.Staff was great, also awesome to see Filipinos representation and flavors that people get to enjoy.Cultures are meant to be shared and appreciated.Love their fusions and seasonal flavors that change, it keep it fresh and allowing to come back to try something new. This place also has pie hole and pressed juicery inside. They have seating area by the window where you can enjoy your treat and people watch.Lots of stores that you can visit on your visit either before or after.Parking garages are close by just be mindful of the time that passes by either parking isn’t too expensive.Dietary restrictions: The have vegan optionsParking: Parking garages in different spots and easy to walk to.It’s for 2 hr parking, pay at the machine, they sometimes have workers there to assist if you get stuck or forget to pay before you exit. There is also metered parkingKid-friendliness: Kids will love coming in to taste the different flavors”
“We’ve ordered takeout multiple times here, and it’s a great neighborhood spot. The food is legitimately and consistently fresh and seasoned wonderfully. It’s so nice to have a place to eat that is affordable and actually good and satisfying to eat.We look forward to eating here more often, thank you for feeding us so well! Please don’t change!”
“Love this local sandwich shop with a bit of history, amazing staff, and delicious food! Not typically a sandwich person, but this place is definitely working on changing my mind! The tri-tip sandwich, available on Thursday and Friday only, is amazing, nice smoky flavor and melted cheese, works just so well. The Hey Joe sandwich is great any other day of the week if you're a meat lover - pastrami, roast beef, and a hot link! Give them a go and support, my favorite type of restaurant to support, cheers!”
“Good tacos. Quick service. I tried a variety of their meat options. Was not crazy about the chicharrón but it could be that I prefer chicharrón tacos to have the fried chicharrón, and not the stewed (soft) variety. Overall if you are craving tacos, it is late and you are in the area, this place will not disappoint.”
“Pizza was delicious! Especially the pesto mushroom one. We also had the KBBQ (award winning), which was good but I thought a little too sweet on the sauce. I expected more from the award-winning pizza. Maybe I had my hopes up too much though.”
“Grandma Tony is the best pizza anywhere. The oregano and bell peppers make that much of a difference. I really want to order a pasta dishes and try all the other pizzas, so I'm going to have to come back a few more times. Screw Flanders.”
“Sandwiches are great, but the fries are the star of the show. Of all the billions of fries I've eaten in my 87 year career as a food critic, these ones are the best.”
“Very inviting atmosphere, incredibly cozy. I'd love to take someone on a date here if I lived in the area. Great food, I've only been there once but I can vouch for their Tom Kha and their Spicy Basil. Very affordable for the area. Their bathroom is very small and placed at the back corner of their kitchen, you need to ask to go use it. Would love to come again.”
“Cute cafe/boba shop in Old Town Pasadena! I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba. They have all the different levels of customization, like ice and sugar levels, milk options, and toppings. My drink hit the spot and the boba was cooked perfectly to qq texture. Lots of seating, too:”
“Got their ube latte with oat milk and an einspanner. Both drinks are solid - can taste the distinct flavors of each drink without the drinks being too sweet. The parking lot is tiny though (no parking at noon on a weekday) and the coffee shop itself was really stuffy and hot when I went (it was 80 degrees outside and it felt cooler outside). Service was quick - in and out in a few minutes!”
“Steve was the BEST cashier I’ve experienced thus far! AMAZING communication skills and helped me and my family pick out the most delicious meal when it was our first time coming! We WILL be coming back again!!! Thank you Steve!”

“I once had a bad experience at the Burbank location. However this place seems to have gotten their act together. The food was fine a little small but fine. But the drinks, drink menu and bartenders were impressive. Attentive bartenders despite the ample size of this place. Knowledgeable too. I had 2 penicillins and a Hemingway daiquiri. My associate had a sidecar bourbon and wine. I've had drinks at the bar and outside where the bartenders open up a window and you are served from the outside. Pretty cool”
“Probably the best place I've tried sushi. Large portions and excellent prices. As a fairly big guy, I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't finish two regular plates. The service is top-notch. My best wishes to this establishment”

“A huge surprise for me. The food exceeded my expectations for such a humble place. I was expecting a regular American style sushi set but instead got an omakase style dinner. The husband and wife team are friendly as well. I’ll be back for sure.”
“Located in the old railway station this place still feels like a railway station hall when you look up and take in the whole space. Food is excellent, well prepared and well presented.”

“Food was good but heavy! This is a loud restaurant and is good if you're wanting a bar style environment with food and drinks. Hence the name - pocha. One of the owners or managers was walking around checking on customers which was so nice. Overall, I enjoyed the food and service was decent but it was a little too heavy for me so I probably won't return.”
“One of our favorite steak restaurants to celebrate special occasions. Must go on Tuesdays for their tomahawk Tuesday meal deal. Service is always on point and great atmosphere at this location. “Ordered the Dynamite shrimp. Great flavor with large enough shrimp and good quantity. Came with white rice and cabbage. Added the avocado, I think it's a must.Location was clean, simple and staff was nice. Can't complain about anything. Would go back and try other meals.”

“Trendy 21st century meets old Pasadena. I love the design and decor of this place. This is a great spot for orderves and drinks. The owner, is a solid guy who genuinely cares about the people around him, his restaurant and customers.Go support a good man!”

“I rate this Restaurant a 10 out of 10 I absolutely loved the lamb chops. I also got the chicken plate with hummus a side of cucumber yogurt. The skewer of filet mignon was delicious. I devoured the whole plate. if you are looking for a chill setting with delicious fresh Mediterranean food, then I recommend this restaurant for you.”
“The food was amazing! Never had Ube French toast before & it was amazing. Reasonably priced brunch drinks too! Will have to visit again next time in California!”
“Great atmosphere and location. Service was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is excellent. Best calamari and octopus I have had. Highly recommended.”

“Typically love outdoor dining but we made dinner reservations a week in advance and arrived on time, and we were still placed outside in the tent even asking for an indoor seat. There were at least 4/5 tables empty that we could see that could seat our party of 5 but we were denied those seats and said we would have to wait 45min for those tables. Since we had little kids and we're celebrating a birthday, we didn't want to take too long. So we were stuck outside in the rain and cold (they had space heaters but unfortunately our table was not under one so we ate in our heavy coats/jackets) After dinner we skipped the desserts bc we were too cold and uncomfortable to stay around any longer.”

“So delicious! Faith help me and my friends pick what drink to get by suggesting her favorite and giving us samples! So kind! I got the coconut drink and it was so good!”
“Our waiter offered to cook for our table and treated us like VIP guests. He accommodated everyone's preferences and dietary restrictions. He was a pleasure. And of course, food was amazing!”
“Went for Valentine’s Day dinner… keep in mind that most “holiday” meals with a set menu are generally inflated in costs. But showcase the “best of…” the restaurants offerings. In this case the food was tasty…IF you have the stomach capacity of a 4 year old. You know those fancy restaurants that have one or two bites of food and some swirled sauces on the plate for presentation… welp, this was a version of that.Portions were ridiculously small almost angry worthy. The food quality and flavor is good but cmon, 4 pieces of tofu? In an Italian restaurant?Beet salad with literally one slice of beet and 1.5 bites of cabbage? It was like getting served after dinner mint sized portions for your actual meal.Server was nice, I’d give a 4 out of 5 since he did not follow up at all after the initial order or check on drinks.Oh and an automatic 20% gratuity on the check. All in all the food is tasty, service is good by today’s lower standards, but the price to value ratio is -5 starsBut hey if you’re on a diet, this is the place to go!!! 5 bites and your whole meal is done!!Might be worth a chance to try again on a regular menu and dining evening…we’ll see”
“Where do I start, the service was unlike anything else I've ever experienced, Jayce went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food, just wow! From the shooters, to the octopus, to the steak, and my goodness the Oreo soufflé! You must come and experience this place!!!”
“JS Foothill Restaurant is a hidden gem for dim sum enthusiasts and lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. First and foremost, let's talk about the fried rice - it's exceptional! Each grain is perfectly cooked and infused with flavors that dance on your palate with every bite. Whether you opt for the classic vegetable fried rice or indulge in the decadent seafood version, you're in for a treat. Now, onto the dim sum. From the delicate shrimp dumplings to the savory shumai, each dim sum dish flavors burst in your mouth. But wait, there's more! The garlic broccoli is a must-try side dish. Crisp, vibrant broccoli florets are tossed in a delectable garlic sauce has perfect balance of flavors. Overall, JS Foothill Restaurant exceeds expectations in every aspect. Whether you're a dim sum connoisseur or simply craving delicious Chinese cuisine, JS Foothill Restaurant is the place to be.”

“Hands down some of the best Thai Food I've had throughout NorCal and SoCal. While I regret being so damn full every time I leave, I can confidently say I've enjoyed everything I've had. 5/5 - Pad See Ew Flavorful, great portions, and came out piping hot. They serve the spicy vinegar with it but you don't even need it, even when you get to the last 25%. 4.8/5 - Kwan's Pad Thai Girlfriend got this, was great. With or without lime, the flavor comes through and is delicious. Noodles were cooked well and when you take a bite with some Papaya Salad? Immaculate. 4.5/5 - Papaya Salad Yummy and spicy. No complaints here. 4/5 - Fried Shrimp Roles Damn good and just the right amount of crunchy. Portion size was quite generous too. 5/5 - Panang Curry SO GOOD. Not too sweet, not too savory and comes with just the right amount of rice. I got it with chicken but I'm curious how the other meat options would taste. My mouth is drooling a bit thinking about it. 4.5/4 - Chicken Satay Yum. Good with or without the peanut (?) like sauce. Chicken had a nice bite and was very soft on the inside. Comes on skewers so be careful not to stab your mouth as you inhale these. Longan Drink Hard to rate a drink but it was yummy. Not too sweet and had a good taste to it. A little pricey for how much you get but I'd say it was pretty worth. Service was pretty good with the staff being very attentive and coming around asking if you needed anything or had any questions. There was a family that obviously never had eaten Thai food before and it was sweet to see the server being very friendly with an explanation on the items. Definitely recommend coming here for a meal.”
“Found Green Street Restaurant on Google while looking for a place to have lunch in Pasadena. We were served by Joe who took such great care of us. Food was delicious and came out hot, Joe kept our drinks full. Big fan. Will definitely come again next time I’m in Pasadena.”
“The tomato broth soup base is so yummy, plus excellent beef quality and stellar service. Very good tempura and hand rolls if you have room.Dietary restrictions: There’s a seafood option for pescatarians.”
“I had not been for about 15 years. So glad I returned. Everything, and I do mean everything, was stellar. Top notch food and service. A real treat. Will definitely return asap :)”

The 1894
“So, I was not expecting to have a beer while perusing a nee bookstore this weekend, but lo and behold! I desperately needed to charge my dying phone, and couldn’t find an outlet anywhere in the book aisles. So I stumbled across The 1894, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. Their happy hour is awesome- a french pilsner for only $6! And the staff went out of their way to accommodate me near an outlet where i can drink and charge my phone. Again, was not expecting this pleasant bar, but will def be back!”
“Such a lovely atmosphere. Delicious charcuterie and impressive wine selection. Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Me and my fiance’s favorite spot to spend an evening!”

“Great bar for watching great jazz. Not crowded. Mostly a cocktail bar, but they had Stella on tap so we were happy. $10 cover charge for the music is reasonable, especially if it adds to what the musicians get paid”

“Was so excited to discover their brunch menu! I have a gluten allergy and called to find out if they had options. They had sooo many gluten-free options! Many items were GF that were unexpected. Like the friend shrimp (cornstarch)!! My friend and I ordered so much food as it was such a treat to have things that aren’t always GF. Everything was delicious and so were the cocktails. Servers were amazing and knowledgeable about gluten allergies! Thank you!!Dietary restrictions: Menu isn’t marked but tons of Gluten-free options including unexpected items like fried shrimp!”
“I don't leave many reviews but I felt compelled because of the level of customer service that I received from the manager, Jarod. I had dinner delivered, an item was labeled correctly but when I opened the container it was something else. I called the restaurant. He apologized, no big deal. He said he'd refund the item. The following day he calls me back to tell me he can't refund the item on his end. I need to contact the 3rd party delivery. He will make sure I get my item for free and throw in a desert upon my next delivery. I just need to contact him after placing my order, he will guarantee to put them in the bag coming to me.It's not that I'm getting something for free but that he took the time to reach out to me to make sure I got the refund I was entitled to. The rest was above and beyond my expectations. I liked the food enough that this was my second order in as many days but this propelled them to the top of my favorite restaurants in my area. I will probably order again very soon. Thanks, Jarod. Forgive me if it isn't spelled correctly.”
“If you like the old dark wood decor bar ambience, check it out. The Margaritas are sublime, but I admit I am more addicted to Mijares probably because it is on my home commute path. The restaurant side is much brighter, and family friendly yet unremarkable. It's difficult for this reviewer to judge Mexican Cuisine while being a Francophile. All I can say is if you're hungry and happen to be nearby, park on the street because the parking in back is minuscule, then sit in the bar, order a drink and whatever tamale you like.”
“A little mom and pop down an alley in Pasadena. Great ambience, the menu is amazing with a wide variety for different palettes. The cocktail menu is extensive, and our server, Dana (who is amazing) recommended several drinks that I absolutely loved. The service from Dana was exceptional and the live music was incredible. Looking forward to dining here again!”
“Kristen and Wes both were such amazing bartenders! They welcomed us and made sure we were okay every time we walked by the bar. It’s a great experience here and I think becoming mynew favorite neighborhood spot!”

MAMA M SUSHI
“Ordered a delivery and was very happy with the food. I liked the vegetable and cucumber-avocado Maki. Didn't love the miso because it was lacking the miso flavor and the seaweed, it reminded me of meat stock (I hope it was vegetarian!), but all the other things were good.”
“This is a very charming and cozy place! Would recommend for families of 3 and more people as the portion sizes are all sharable for 3 or more people. Good prices and delicious food. Our server Carlos was amazing and very accommodating. Overall, an amazing family friendly restaurant with a lot of character and great staff!”
“Always fresh delicious sushi and Japanese combo dinners They have not sacrificed quality or quantity and they have an extensive sushi selection. I like their consistency with flavor and portions”
“Have been going to Kathleen's for over 20 years. The food is consistently delicious, always fresh. The atmosphere is like going to someone's home. Kathleen and her staff are the best.”
“OMG! Soooo Gooodddd! Don't go anywhere else, this place is legit, and it's tasteful. 100 percent quality teriyaki done right, not over cooked, or undercooked. No scrappy meat, or odd ball rice and noodles. Very good tasting and very delicious from beginning to end.I am definitely saving this spot and will be coming back for many more! Parking is a challenge, so order ahead or plan it right to get your food. Other than that, the lady this morning was extremely helpful and courteous for a 1st time visit that superseded my expectations!Thank you!!”
“SUGARFISH really knows how to do the sushi game. The food is always so fresh and delicious. This is the third different location I’ve been to in this local chain and the service and quality of food is consistent. I almost always get the Nozawa omakase and I did this time as well and each course was presented beautifully that tasted great. If you don’t mind a wait because they don’t take reservations then you should definitely give this place a shot.”

“Consistently the best burgers I've ever eaten! I took my parents and they loved it as well. If you're hungry, I also recommend the trio appetizer sampler. It's a solid choice for the indecisive or those who just like to try everything. I had the hickory burger this time. It's a good balance of sweet and savory. And the orange cream soda is also great.”
“Giving my Review to a really, cozy and nice place. Sage Plant Based Bistro & Brewery Pasadena. 41 Hugus Aly, Pasadena, CA 91103.Food. I love food as I enjoy eating. And I appreciate it when someone makes food for me.There are different situations when you may feel thankful for the food and want to express gratitude.Dear Chef, I want to thank you for the beautiful, healthy, gourmet meal that was provided to me and my family last week. We greatly appreciate your efforts and kindness. It has been so helpful and has meant so much to our entire family. All the best and Blessings to all*+**This plate or meal it's not in the menu.Portobello Mushrooms.Garlic butter, Parsley, cherry tomatoes, arugula, baked potato, balsamic reduction, asparagus, mushrooms, fyh cheese, gluten free. ???”
“We come here pretty regularly and it's spot on every time. Great food and strong drinks, they make a kickass Cadillac margarita. We love Esme as our server, always attentitive!”
“Took my father to dinner with jazz and we both liked it.Our waiter was so nice. It felt like he was waiting on All the tables. Maybe they will get more staff in the future as it seemed like a newly established. It’s on the corner, where Ixtapa Cantina used to be and there is paid parking right behind it. We both had salmon, mine with white wine and dad with beer. Food and drinks ??. The jazz band did a lot of Amy Whinehouse covers. So if you enjoy that, hop on over. Looking around, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. People passing by would dance their way through. We had a deal from Goldstar but if you don’t, go anyway. Given current prices, I’d say you’re getting a good deal from the regular menu. Good food and live music. ?? have fun and bring cash to tip the band. They deserve it.”
“Gluten friendly beer! Gluten friendly beer! Lots of different styles as well from stouts to IPAs. Cider and seltzers for options as well. Lots of merch and glasses for sale as well. Bartenders are very helpful and kind. Good experience.”
“Amazing food! Plant based. Even if this isn't your diet the food is amazing and you will find something really delicious to eat! Their wine and beer is organic and they have a fun happy hour as well. Nice patio. They will accommodate your dog in the patio area. Definitely a favorite!Dietary restrictions: Looking forward to their choice of Impossible Burger switched to Beyond Burger to avoid the soy! When you have the choice why eat the soy! Also hoping for more gluten free options for those of us unable to eat gluten.”
“I loved this little Italian spot in Old Town! My friend and I walked in on a busy Saturday night but were able to find a spot at the little bar. It's not a huge place but they've got indoor and outdoor seating. The woman working at the bar was super friendly and gave good recommendations on their foods and drinks. Everything on their menu sounded tasty so I'd definitely be down to go back and try more! If you're looking for a good spot for Italian I'd recommend this place.”
“Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. This restaurant is a favorite with my family and extended family. When we gather from around the world and across the Nation, we have often gathered here to enjoy a special meal. It's also a favorite of John Muir High School Alumni, Pasadena City College Alumni, and Caltech Alumni and families. Low key, casual, great food, great service, great atmosphere. Be sure to get reservations ahead as they are SUPER popular. Not expensive, but if you came here with a budget you'd be cheating yourself as this is not just food, it's an experience. If you can carpool, might be a good idea as parking is limited, and fans are plentiful :-)”
“I have always wondered about this spot because I love gifting from Dot Cupcakes's across the street. The food was delicious. We ordered a variety family style for about 10 of us. I will go back. However I was disappointed with how service was rushed. We're were trying to finalize out choices when the waitress came us up to us multiple times after we told her to wait for us to call you when we were READY. She unfortunately rushed us and we didn't order all the plates we wanted. I'm interested in going to the la location to see how that adventure would be. I just hope the next visit isn't quite as rushed and bothersome. If this is a busy location maybe put a sign up for a time limit to give new guests a heads up. New guests may take a few minutes to order and we were a decent size party. Any tips on what to do or say if you're rushed to order or eat at a restaurant? Blessings to those who enjoy.”
“A solid all you can eat sushi spot for the money. Lots of room, but it can get pretty busy.We did the regular all you can eat but next time I’ll get the premium. Overall the sushi & food selection for AYCE is plentiful. The quality is great for all you can eat and for the price it’s worth it. You got three rounds & for premium you get also one round of their premium dishes. As compared to “Yes Sushi” back when they had AYCE, it’s just a tad below that quality. I base it off the fried squid legs which were very chewy and a few other items overall the sushi quality was great. The atmosphere is also pretty great and roomy.I took my family and we got a majority of the appetizers and sashimi, but only a handful of rolls. The roll quality was also really good.I’d definitely come back here again to get my “AYCE” sushi fix. Also if you didn’t know “AYCE” stands for “All you can eat” & I just found that out a week ago & thought it was a brand. Either way, a great spot to visit for sushi in Pasadena.”
“I had the spicy cold dipping noodles and the crispy chicken. They were so delicious. The sauce for the dipping noodles was very refreshing. It was a big bowl, I couldn’t finish it. The crispy chicken was good too, I liked the sauce a lot.”
“Pretty restaurant with inside and outside seating. The service and food are excellent. We have eaten here several times for lunch and recently had dinner here. The hostess is always friendly and kind. There are high tables with stools and low tables with chairs inside. They give you the choice for seating. If you sit outside, there are trees and it does not seem like you are on Foothill Blvd. The food is very good as well as the drinks. I had a lavender champagne cocktail that was delicious.I ordered the special- halibut and there were no leftovers to take home!Very nice neiborhood restaurant with great chef and service.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options or ask your server.Dietary restrictions: Ask your server. This is a well-run restaurant so they can adjust meals for you.Parking: I always park on a side street. There is a small lot in the back, but I prefer to park on a side street. I rather walk a block or two to avoid parking in a small crowded lot.”
“We had a wonderful experience with delicious tequila and cocktails, the atmosphere is very welcoming and some of the best service with the amazing David advising us on drinks and meals!Thank you so much”
“Absolutely loved Oba! Came for my daughter's birthday and the service was amazing, the food was fresh and delicious, and everyone that works there is so nice and kind! My favorite dishes were the chirashi bowl, jalapeño yellowtail, garlic noodles, sashimi plate, shrimp tempura and red curry! It's so great to be able to pick from a Japanese and Thai menu! Will definitely be back and highly recommend!!”
“As someone from Osaka, I can confirm this is a Japanese restaurant with home style dishes and legit kushikatsu (of which is a bit lighter due to less batter and more panko crusted instead). We went on Valentine's Day for a special meal and it was packed. Service may be a bit more relaxed than one may be used to, so please be patient and enjoy the thoughtful hospitality and cuisine. Their unagi yanagawa (simmered eel with strips of burdock root covered in egg) was very comforting and tasty. Thank you for the delightful and memorable meal.”
“STEPH JUDGEMENT: A casual, comfortable bar with weekend happy hour FTW! We'd been to the Blind Donkey in downtown Long Beach a few times but had no idea there were other locations. We'd come out of an art show at the Armory nearby and wanted to grab a drink and a snack in the area before heading back. While wandering around, I happened to spot their sign down a side street and we decided to investigate. The ambiance was open and inviting, with many windows letting in the sunshine--very different from the Long Beach location, which is cool but underground. There were a bunch of fun and interesting signs and items on the walls, and they also had a parklet outside. It was fairly busy on a Sunday afternoon--the people perhaps drawn in by their weekend Happy Hour, but their prices seemed reasonable overall anyway. We decided to sit at the bar and I got an old fashioned and the hubby a whiskey sour, and we decided to share a grilled cheese sandwich. Everything was excellent, especially the sandwich, which was pressed panini-style and served with pickle chips that were an unexpected and awesome accompaniment--the little zing of acid really livened up the cheese and bread. The bartenders were cool, and it was a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We wouldn't hesitate to return the next time we're in the area.”

“Best Italian spot in Pasadena! The ambiance is amazing! The food, superb! The staff were so kind and friendly and made excellent recommendations! Try the gnocchi!”
“The pizza was really quite good though not the best in the area. I would highly recommend it though. It’s a cool little spot as well with a nice beer selection too.”
“I haven't been to Celestino in over twenty (20) years, and, I have to admit, I really don't know why. . . Maybe it's because we don't live in Pasadena, but that shouldn't matter. My family and I go far and wide -- anywhere in Los Angeles, really -- for excellent food. We did make reservations for this particular occasion (my birthday) on a Tuesday evening, just in case Celestino was busy. Here's the rundown of what we ordered: a. Linguine with clams b. Chicken parmigiana c. Lobster tail with pasta/linguine (one of that night's special) d. Penne a la vodka I also ordered a Ciao Bella which is one of their signature mixed drinks. And I have to say, "WHAT A HIT! WE'RE COMING BACK TO CELESTINO!!!" Antonio was our waiter, and he was marvelous. He was knowledgeable of all the specials, and he was genuinely friendly and jokey -- if there is such a word. Overall, the restaurant's atmosphere was clean, moderately quiet, and classy. If you want to eat great Italian food where it's not "stuffy and staid", and the staff is wonderful, GO! to Celestino now. Don't wait another 20 years like we did.”

“Sashimi salad is a great choice if you're avoiding carbs. Miso soup is nice.. Reasonably priced. Fast service.Vegetarian options: Veggie roll highly recommended”
“We came in on a Sunday evening for a small birthday celebration and we had a great time. We booked it for 7 adults but the person who rsvp forgot we had 2 babies with us, but they were able to accommodate our group. There was a wedding booked inside, we were sat outside in their lovely patio, it's a very pretty patio and there's space heaters everywhere. In the quest to be media / tech savvy they have 4 separate QR code menus and they do not link to each other, so there is a drink menu, a dinner menu, a hookah menu and one other menu. That was a bit confusing at first, since everyone initially started off wit ha different menu. But we got the hang of it. it's a pretty big menu, we ordered a combo platter for 4 people and another combo platter for 2 people and a vegetarian sampler. The 4 and 2 people combos are same just sized differently. They come out on enormous metal platter that is placed on a pedestal on your table. The platters came with steak and chicken breast kabobs and then also ground beef and ground chicken kabobs as well (lule? koobideh?) they were pretty juicy and flavorful, they only came with like 2 tiny garlic toums but you can and should request more. Oh and it also comes with like hella pita breads. The rice soaks up the meat juices from the platter and is bomb af. We took home 2 boxes of food, they don't skimp. The alcoholic drinks are kinda disappointing, like the cocktails are all under powered and watered down low on alcohol, but the fruity drinks taste spectacular as a fruit juice drink but not as a cocktail. the quarantini (their take espresso/coffee martini ) is just watered down and doesnt taste like anything. Either get bottles of wine or hard alcohol don't get the cocktails. If you're sitting on the outside patio do be aware that they have hookah service out here, so if you're not down with that you should sit inside. they have live music and dancing as well (we had a senior citizens dinner due to the kids, so we missed it, but I rememeber it being a good time the last time we saw it.) Good spot wouldn't mind returning at all.”
“Amazing drinks and tomahawk steak here!! Got the strawberry basil marg. Primarily came back for my 2nd time for the tomahawk, perfectly cooked, a little pricey but highly ”
“EVERYTHING IS GOOD. Best food I've had in Pasadena. Had swordfish special that was phenomenal! Def recommend their 'four cheese sexy mac'. Their Affogato is also great!”

“This was the perfect pit stop at mine and hubs' date night. We were really going to the Ice House but dipped in here for a quick foodie / drinkie "pre-game." I believe this is family owned and service was every bit like being at your friend's moms house for all the attentiveness. I had a taco de birria and it was deelish!! The consommé was savory but not overpoweringly so. Hubs had a chicken soft taco that looked good. Chips and salsa were tasty and beer was cold!”
“I love egg roll express! I grew up in this community and have been eating at this restaurant since I was a kid! Their food is so fresh, flavorful and delicious! It has gotten pricier over the years and most of their dishes come family style so I recommend coming for their lunch combo deals! I also recommend calling ahead because they don't have a very big wait area and it does take a while because food is made fresh! But I promise you it's definitely worth it! I recommend getting their chicken chow mein, the noodles are thick and so tasty! I also love their paper wrapped chicken! ?”
“I drove by 861 East Walnut Street Pasadena, California 91101 yesterday & they had the door open Conrad's & they were in-there cleaning & maybe they'll open again”
“One of my favorite places to eat.Went by today to grab a garlic chicken wrap, and I see their permanently closed:(( noooAre yall moving elsewhere? What's going on??I need my wrap!!!!”
“First time at Rodney's. Tried the Brisket Sandwich. The brisket was perfectly cooked, nicely smokey and tender.I didn't like his style of BBQ sauce. It was too sweet for me. I may buy some brisket by the pound to make my own sandwich. Rodney is super friendly and really seems to care about getting it right. Professional.”
“My first impression was the cleanliness and friendly staff. Secondly being my first time all my questions were met with great care to detail. And lastly the freshness and delicious food was phenomenal and priced very well. I am now a Kokoroll customer for life. Thank you! Ps. I only wish I’d found you sooner 😊 HIGHLY RECOMMEND AAA+”

“If I could give the service a 10000/5 I would. The entire staff was AMAZING. Attentive, thoughtful and all around kind guys. The chicken tenders and the comeback sauce were so flippen delicious! If you are nearby, this is a MUST STOP destination.”
“Our experience here was AMAZING. Our server Domonique was very attentive and thoroughly explained the whole process to us as it was our first time visiting. All in all she was great! Will definitely be returning here!”
“The manager and server went over and beyond to make my mother-in-law's 75th birthday, brunch so special. The food & drinks were delicious and service was great! We'll be back soon.”

“love all the drinks at mandarin coffee stand and the baristas are all super friendly! they have great speciality drinks and offer cool pop ups every now and then but it gets really crowded and awkward since the space is so small, there's also not a lot of seating so it's not great for a sit down catch up the place if that's what you're looking for, it's great for a grab and go except you'll most likely have to wait in line”
“Urth Caffe Pasadena re-visitEnjoy a lazy brunch at Urth Caffe Pasadena, stock up on food, and start the 7-hour journey north to San Francisco. Urth Caffe is still crowded on weekday mornings. There are office workers looking at computers, well-dressed internet celebrities, and friends chatting in twos and threes. I found a table and sat down, and opened the menu. The dazzling array of dishes made me have difficulty choosing. I chose Eggs Salmome and Huevos Rancheros. I didn’t know what the names of the dishes meant, so I had to look at the photos to know what I was going to eat next. The meal was delivered. Really, the presentation of the online restaurant was very beautiful. Eggs Salmome is a deformed Egg Benedict. Salsa is used instead of hollandaise sauce. The pickled salmon is very generous. The avocado adds smoothness to the taste and the bread underneath is toasted and crispy. It's crispy and allows the egg juice to flow down slowly. It's really delicious. The cantaloupe and strawberries on the side of the meal are so sweet and beautiful. The whole plate doesn't seem to be much, but I feel quite full after eating it. Huevos Rancheros stumped me. Half of the fine print under the menu was unclear as to what it was. The poached eggs were changed to scrambled eggs. The ingredients below were sausage meat (I guess) and my favorite Mexican beans, with avocado and cilantro. ,it's actually very good.I’m used to drinking Starbucks, and when I saw Urth’s latte art, there was a little bird on it, so cute.Cozy coffee break @ UrthUrth CaffeI watched a private movie in Pasadena. It was around 2 p.m., which was the awkward moment for lunch and dinner. I was enjoying the blue sky on Colorado Blvd., which I had not seen for a long time. I thought of Urth Caffe, an Internet beauty coffee shop not far away, which happened to be the place for afternoon tea. Excellent location.Urth Caffe emphasizes health, environmental protection and sustainability. It has classic furnishings and a traditional menu. I planned to order a cafe cappuccino + croissant, but I happened to take a look at the New Yorker Sandwich. The filling is pastrami, which I can't resist, so I immediately changed my order. Strange, pastrami is salty and oily, how can it be healthy?Cappuccino milk foam is thick and dense, and has a good heat preservation effect. I choose heavily roasted coffee beans, which is quite delicious. The New York Sandwich is panini style. The marble toast is hot-pressed and very crispy. It contains thick pastrami, mozzarella cheese, water spinach boiled in salt water, and spiced mayonnaise. The combination is delicious. There is a sesame leaf salad on the side, with a little dressing, and only 2 small pickled cucumbers to add texture, okay, this is the healthy part.I quickly devoured my meal. Afternoon tea had been promoted to lunch and dinner, and Urth Caffe was gradually filling up. I gave up my seat to people waiting in line. I will definitely visit such a comfortable cafe again. On the way back, I passed by San Marino and looked at those cozy houses, which made me feel nostalgic.”
“Excellent bang-for-your-buck easy eats place for lunch.Huge variety of tacos for $3ea. Service is fast and the food itself was delicious. I recommend the calabacitas.”
“This place is a gem, we drive 20 miles to eat here, food is amazing so delicious, atmosphere and service is emasculate, this is a all star restaurant.Kid-friendliness: My daughter is very picky and she loves it”
“This is a lovely high end restaurant. I was here for breakfast. I had the 3 egg omelet minus the toast and potatoes. I added hollandaise sauce on the side. The atmosphere was beautiful. The waitstaff pleasant and attentive.”
“I love El Torito Pasadena! The food was amazing from the chips and salsa, to the delicious enchiladas & flan. Compliments to the chef!We had impeccable service provided by our server, Jackson. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail added an extra layer of enjoyment. If you are craving mexican cuisine, or simply enjoy a night out with friends and family, this restaurant delivers on all fronts and I highly recommend it.”
