“I have been going here for years now to celebrate with family birthdays and celebrate on special occasions. This place is amazing, yes the price is up there but with that you get a good quantity of food, great service and also it's a STEAK HOUSE. I will mention one con I've noticed, this is for almost every year that we come I usually get a steak and scallops. Now the scallops are amazing and I recommend and last this year in February I got a new York step style steak and I have to be honest I always get medium rare so it doesn't not lose flavor of course, but it was a bit different maybe needed to be cooked better or better seasonings if you will, I do no know but not the same as I remember, this would be my only con other than this, I'm always willing to recommend to go try and be amazed !Parking: An open lot and it's always enough for a large group.Wheelchair accessibility: On flat ground no stars and doors are wide and big.“
“We are regulars and though we come in scruffy from work, the staff treat us like royalty. Food is gourmet Mexican with always a unique twist with layers of subtle flavor. This ain't no taco truck so crack open the wallet but worth it. Love you guys!“
“Cute little bar in the neighborhood! As a fellow yelper said, a great place to do before going "out out" if you know what that means. Neat, modern, kinda dark, good mix of people. Come for the drinks, stay for the interesting people you might meet. This unassuming bar was a pleasant surprise and I'd come back again.“
“What am amazing space. The picture here does not do it justice. The menu is creative and everything was delicious. The drinks are primary Gin and Whiskey based and were strong. Definitely not for the weak at heart. I appreciated all the attention to detail. It's probably one of the most beautiful places to dine in LA.“
“I made a Resy reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Street parking was accessible and convenient a few steps away from the location. Once we walked in, I was greeted by first name by the host behind the bar who directed us to follow Lisa, our server, to our table for two in the garden patio. Once seated, she asked if we'd like to turn on the heated lamp, which we appreciated. We ordered the Hunan BBQ Pork Ribs (so meaty and smoky), Chilled Sesame Peanut Noodles (which my wife commented would be an ideal dish during a warm summer night), Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi (served on a toasted, pillowy brioche bun), paired with a side of the Shoestring Fries. Lastly we enjoyed an unexpected gift from the kitchen - Shanghai Triple Onion Noodles, which was a warm dish in contrast to the other cold noodles. As a thoughtful gesture, the bartender, offered us two glasses of champagne to acknowledge our occasion. To cap off our unforgettable meal, we ordered the Hochija Tres Leches and Honeymoon Bread Pudding. The perfect conclusion to a delicious and well-thought out dinner. For a location with a history dating back to the prohibition era (informed by Lisa), I'm glad to see it's continuing it's life as a bar with an innovative kitchen. As I mentioned last night, the dinner was great but the service was even better! Thank you for making our anniversary dinner memorable :)“
“this my go to place when i have visitors in LA> and at times when I go elsewhere , its like I feel I shouldve just gone here . u can order anything , cus everything good... but mussels is good, branzino, the squid ink... burrata is cool, of couse the bone marrow gnocchetti is a must.. so many , u cant go wrong really , depends what u in mood for.. the music can be a lil loud but its mostly 90s hiphop music and thats a plus.“
“It's been some years since I last dined at Shiro, and I was so delighted that it has fully maintained its superlative status as a first rate restaurant experience on every level. Shiro offers casually elegant dining in a handsome, intimate and stylish storefront in a historic district in South Pasadena. The French-Asian menu offers amazing creations and flavors that will entice and satisfy. My husband had an appetizer consisting of the plumpest, most tasty pan-fried oysters imaginable, as well as a wonderfully seasoned uni pasta. I had sea bass in a rich sauce over Japanese eggplant. The service is impeccable, from the initial greeting and seating to the server and helpers. It is friendly, caring and professional. We will certainly not wait years until our next visit.“
“Met Anderson Paak the last time I was here, but I’d already dubbed this place my favorite local spot long before I danced with my idol under the disco ball.Strictly vinyl. Great cocktail menu.Only negative: their digital branding needs work. Kinda wish they’d hire me to curate their social media. ?“
“I've been to Skaf's a couple of times now. As many reviewers note, the cheese roll is a must get if you love and respect yourself and your happiness. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven.Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention.I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. Their wraps are solid as well, but the veggie combo plate is where it's at!Lebanese coffee on the side on a rainy day at Skaf's. Kindest servers as well“
“Great dining experience for a birthday dinner! From the hostess to the servers and we can't forget the bartenders, stellar service and great energy. Our meal was very good and I will definitely be back. A special shoutout to Adrienne, Jeffrey and last but not least, Carlos (GM)!! Thanks for making my rare girls night out so much fun ?“
“Great Pan Roast. The dining room has 40 seats, a bar, or sit at the chefs counter to watch the steam kettle chefs cook your food without having to go to a Palace train station in Vegas. Plus, we didn't have a wait on Sunday at 3pm.Parking: Plenty of parking, plus there's an underground lot.“
“5⭐ specifically for the Boon Boon Noodle - Pork. Perfect sauce, perfect texture, absolutely nothing to complain about. Solid 4⭐ for Chicken rice 2.0.Not sure if the tea ceremony was worth it, but it's fun to do it once. I actually enjoyed their regular tea more. The Aged pear was a fun one.Cute space, accommodating staff, and you can make reservations with Google assistant, which is great for busy (or lazy, like me) people ?.“
“Loved the underground vibes. It was so dark and exciting just getting to your seat. Music was cool but not too loud, which was great for connecting to your date via witty banter and conversation. Sitting at the bar made you feel like the bartender was there just for you. Drinks were balanced, well presented, and delicious.“
“Historical Pasadena restaurant that some people forget about. I hadn’t been here for years until this evening. I’d give 5 stars, but my pork chop was dry and little overcooked. Everything else was wonderful, including the drinks. It’s very intimate inside, but as the restaurant fills up it gets quite loud. The patio is covered and heated, but you may find yourself having to talk over the nearby tables or road noise. Valet parking only, $8 at the time of this review. There is street parking available on Fair Oaks though.“
“Everything was great. Atmosphere was amazing. Drinks took awhile and my friend whose birthday it was never got her second drink. And when it was time to pay I wanted to leave a little early so I had the waiter split my bill plus the birthday girl's drink and he ended up charging me the remainder on my card which was $130 instead of the $68 eventually we put everything on my card and had two transactions on my card instead of voiding it and having that amount pinned on my bank account. For what it's worth if this happens to you especially if you go in a large party remember that it is best to just zelle each other then void the transaction and have multiple pending transactions on your bank account. I was a little disappointed that all the waiter wanted to offer was to void the whole thing because as a server myself I know that this causes multiple pending transactions. So from both the customers point of view and the servers to make your life easier and theirs remember that nobody's perfect and mistakes can be made and if you can take the initiative to lead your group so that the money isn't lost in cyberspace so that not only the bill gets paid but everybody feels like they put a fair amount in then your experience will be a good one even if it seems like it's going south. So in conclusion I ended up staying a little bit longer than I wanted to but I felt like this was an experience that had to be shared and I hope this is helpful for people in the future.“
“Came here with the boys on a Saturday night of debauchery. Always drive by, never went in. Decided to visit instead of the bikini bar across the street. Very pleased, excellent prices, awesome regulars(from what I could tell). Very chill and welcoming. They had karaoke going which was fun. Cash only though.“
“We stopped by The Mermaid after dinner for a couple of drinks and had a pretty good time! It was super crowded but we were lucky to find a table to sit at. The place was pretty loud but the playlist was great and the atmosphere and crowd was friendly and a lot of fun. With a cute underwater/sea theme, their menu looks like it typically has a lot of rum based drinks but we had to get the special holiday drinks!Out of the specialty drinks we ordered the Sinterclaws, Seven Siren Swimming, Nauti or Nice, Carols of the Coral, A Merry Little "Coquito", and a Dementa Xmas "Shot." Almost all of the drinks were served in festive glassware like a snowman mug, so cute! My favorite drinks had to be Seven Sirens Swimming with the brown butter fat washed Chihuatan Indigo rum, and the "coquito" like a tiny coconutty eggnog.“
“I fkn love this place! We have been coming to The Cauldron since 2019 and every year it's like the first. Everything about this spot is magical and intriguing. The drink are mouth watering and the food is delicious. We fall in love with this place and each other all over again every year.“
“Litos Cork Room (LCR) is a hidden gem in East Los Angeles, especially for Green Bay Packers fans. The welcoming vibe and unique Packers fandom create an unforgettable experience for any football fan. Drinks are very reasonably priced and bar service is quick in this tiny little Cheesehead heaven. The owners (Junior and his wife) are amazingly welcoming and generous people. Litos feels like a mini-Lambeau in ELA.Highly recommend!?? ?? GoPackGo“
“Man, I used to work here back in 2017 when they first opened. I had an amazing time and I learned a lot about myself and the industry. Great atmosphere ,food, music, and neighbourhood clientele. I'm happy to see that they're still going! Highly recommended.“
“I have just moved to OC and glad to have a great time at Isla. Food was yummy - the plantain chips, ceviche, sautéed garlic butter shrimps, oxtails, yuca fries, cocktails, etc. Ricardo was very helpful and gave us some great suggestions. Great service and atmosphere, would love to return soon!“
“I don't often go up to Little Tokyo for nightlife, but we were looking for a place for a quick drink on a Wednesday night and remembered our friends having talked about this place. PARKING: On a weeknight, not bad at all! Street parking was easy to find - free after 8 pm. If you're having trouble, there are structures around. WHAT WE ORDERED: - Nigiri Manhattan - Sugoi (zero-proof) THE DRINKS: It was cool seeing the Manhattan come out, with the little rice cracker on top of an otherwise plain looking classic drink. Got a chuckle out of us, though the cracker didn't really do much for the drink besides get soggy. I'm a big fan of clarified milk punches though, and this was solid. The Sugoi was nice, though it was super sweet, making it hard to appreciate the flavors that go into it, like the matcha and spices. But this is a nice sweet drink if that's what you're looking for. The salt on the rim was nice. SERVICE: Amazing service. The bartender was super kind and made our drinks on the spot as we ordered and was able to close us out right away. Note: you have to order at the bar rather than at your table. Also, note that the kitchen closes at 8:30. VIBES: The vibes were perfect! It was a dark place with candles which made it feel cozy, and a bit more private in a way. The music was also at a good level - you can still talk to your friends while not having your conversations out there for the whole bar to hear. There are a variety of table sizes, from tables for two or large groups, and there's outdoor seating. Definitely a good place for either a date or a friend catch up. BOTTOM LINE: I'd definitely come back to hang with friends here!“
“Treated so great, Great customer service, prices are great everything honestly hit perfect. We where just stopping off the freeway in a trip and this place was a Gem. Highly recommend we might come out just to try it again.Guy behind the counter really cares about setting a great environment. And super quick too!“
“Beautiful on the inside. It’s a place where I feel like I could go on a date or with the guys for lunch. Prices are really good. Portions are large. I will be back here. I was here for lunch. I also appreciate the presentation of my plate.“
“I just loved this place the decor is so random but I think it's just fun the drinks were strong and delicious and the price was great. I didn't try the food but it looked upscale and beautiful not what you typically see at a dive bar. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because parking suuuucks. We went around and around. Other than that this place was dope.“
“Food was great the only thing was that we saw breakfast items on the website menu and we were excited to have breakfast there but when we got there it was breakfast buffet and a dinner/lunch menu. Normally we wouldn't mind but we were craving very specific items and getting paying for a $40 per person buffet and a $20 buffet for our two year old who eats small portions just didn't make sense for us. Seems like the brunch might benefit folks with older kids or those looking to have cocktails with their meals, which wasn't for us. Fun place for a brunch date, breakfast brunch or girls brunch though!“
“Came for my girl’s birthday and had a great time. Half of it was because of the food, the other half was from the service received by Hector. 10/10. Thank you, guys ?Parking: Big structure right next door. Came on a Friday evening and parked in 2 min.Wheelchair accessibility: Just wheel yourself in and have a nice meal. There are no stairs to heaven in this case.“
“Love this low key, high end bar. Best of both worlds. Dark and warm atmosphere. Phenomenal happy hour and cocktails. We came for after dinner cocktails and ordered an espresso martini and a "Coffee and Cigarettes" and they were perfect! FYI It's not closed. Try the door!“
“Came here for dinner with friends people last weekend. Food was good service couldve been better. Im allergic to raspberries and blackberries thus I always tell the waiter waitress before I order anything. Tell me why I ordered a seafood dish and the place it on the other side Im sitting at a corner and lo and behold theres blackberries on top of it. So in my head I didnt think it was my order. Also of friend in the group has special dietary restrictions. She ordered their veggie rice it took forever to come. Every one got their tacos and ceviches ate it all before her rice even came out. She also ordered their fried cauliflower that never made it out. Waiter didnt mention anything until we asked for it a third time and said they were out of it since people rarely order it. I doubt Ill be coming back.“
“First off, the prices are pretty reasonable for the area. In the Arts District where you can expect your coffee to be $7, $9ish for a full cocktail is not bad! I've enjoyed everything here, the fried chicken in particular was well-seasoned. The only thing I thought was meh was the fried broccolini, the batter was a little too heavy for me so I didn't finish it.You seat yourself and can either order using the QR code at your table or try to flag someone down, but mobile order seems faster. There is also self-serve water. My only suggestion is that sometimes it can get quite sunny so would be nice to have some kind of shades when the sun is getting low and get in your eyes.Update: sounds like the shade issue has been resolved since I've last gone! Thanks Théron!“
“Thoroughly enjoyed Far Bar’s happy hour, which runs from 3-7pm Monday to Friday, and all day Monday. Best value play is the Burger Special ($13), which includes fries and a Sapporo or soda.Wings are also excellent. Will try their shrimp tacos next! Service is awesome and the vibes are casual yet with a classy decor (especially outside). Love this historic spot!“
“The food is absolutely amazing, I had the enchiladas verdes and they were beautiful, the service here is amazing and gave us a free burrito because they got our order wrong, gave us a free postcard picture with my entire family and it was completely empty so no one was really bothering us, great restaurant, definitely going here again someday“
“Relaxed atmosphere, bartenders are awesome. Now offering soft tip Darts on Phoenix dart boards. At LaMirada and Santa Ana. Could not keep track of all the games there were so many going on tonight not complaining love to keep up with all of them. Really love their logo and what they've done with the doors in both bars. Definitely worth a visit“
“My husband and I went here for Valentines Day. They had a pre fixed menu. While the price was on the higher side per person it was so worth every penny. The service is amazing the food is fantastic and the ambiance is romantic, very traditional pasadena and just fun. You can sit indoors or outdoors. If you sit outdoors they have outdoor heaters so you don't have to worry about getting cold and umbrellas if it is too hot. This place also features an amazing brunch on the weekend so it is worth checking out. Again the food is always really good. This place has been a local favorite in Pasadena for a very long time. The parking is a little strange so prepare to use their valet service and pay for it but other than that the place is amazing and great for date night.“
“Let me start by saying this is one of my favorite bars the service is phenomenal Chris big Mike Joanna best friend and the new girl Chantel aka Alex is amazing the bar is extremely clean staff is friendly and know what you like for me it’s like a 4.5 out of 5 but 100% will be a 5 if they had twisted tea thank you 626 bar for a good time all the time“
“The wrong place at the right time.. I showed up at the neighbors place, totally unexpected by me.. I had ordered to go, pickup, via phone.•Burrata•Meat soup (creamed manhattan)•Roasted corned beef w/ Ratatouille•Bread pudding w/whiskey sauceTo say I was impressed is an understatement.Burrata mozzarella was creamy with a perfect texture and freshly toasted baguettes.Meat soup was warm and cozyCorned beef and ratatouille is the perfect fusionBread pudding, for breakfast. The service was friendly and engaging. The big man makes a magnificent martini, oooh those olives. Thanks for making it a happy mistake.Viva “Eat Drink Americano.”SkinnyFatGuy~Parking: Just pay for valet, so much easier.“
“This place is usually pretty good but prepared for the noise! The food is good. I especially like the empanadas and tacos. Service has been hit and miss, but usually ok. I have been to three locations now and the Pasadena location is my favorite so far (except that parking). Drinks are really good as well and you have fun times with the shots!! Restrooms usually are clean as well.“
“It is truly a bar. In the best definition of the word. Beer was nice and cold. Mixed drinks were nice and string. The prices were great. I ordered the cheeseburger, which IMO was absolutely DELICIOUS! Definitely will be going back for dinner and a drink.“
“Great local spot to have a few beers and play a few games of pool. The staff deserves more than an a rating if there was such when they're friendly they're trained their professional they make a great team. Been going there for over 20 years and even on the busiest of nights they still show that same commitment to the customer to make sure that they enjoy their evening .Carry on sportsman you are the best“
“Family friendly and delicious! The service was great. Everyone was friendly and I came on a Sunday evening and there was someone making balloons for kids. My 3 year old loved it and the freshly squeezed orange juice. The food was great and I am kicking myself that I don’t come here often enough. This is definitely going to be a frequent place for my family after our visit. Highly recommend!“
“I come here specifically because of Kelly, Tony, and Nikita- they are the sweetest and most attentive bartenders EVER!! They make sure the vibe is welcoming and keep everything safe and on point. You dont find that everywhere dive bars always have a certain flow that youre either in or out- they make sure you will always want to come back.“
“Love this place. Its very cute and the energy is always super welcoming. I have been here many time with friends, and I actually brought my mom here for her birthday and our favorite bartender Ricardo made us all his special drinks. Highly reccommend!“
“The waitress was excellent, and the mozzarella sticks I had never had any like these crunchy, crispy and just soooo delicious. Quesadilla with chicken was just as delicious too. Live music was Super Duper main vocals her voice was prefect, we will be going back soon.“
“Cool bar with a pool table, jukebox, and lotto. Lots of t.v.'s to watch all your favorite games. Plus they got more weekly happy hours than any other bar I've visited. And boy the folks there are like family ! Did mention the karaoke that goes down on the weekends ? Love this Lil spot !“
“Very cheerful atmosphere and great beer selection. Love the fact that they have games inside their place: "pacman, big buck hunter, and a few others". This is a nice touch since i personally like to have something to do as I enjoy a few drinks. ??“
“The food and service was excellent. The ONLY thing is the WATER! I don’t know why but there an odd taste to it. I thought it was only me, but I’ve brought several friends here and they all have the same comment about the water. Other than that I can’t complain.“
“General Lee's is a fun bar to hang out while in Chinatown. It is located in the central plaza where all red pretty lanterns are. I visited General Lee's during the Summer nights of 2023. The whole plaza was crowded and very festive. The bar is surprisingly spacious and had amazing drinks. Look forward to my next visit.“
“OK this is literally the West Coast version of Cheers. I've never seen a place where everybody says. Hi and bye to each other. The bartenders are great. The serving staff is very reliable. And I love the dark and calming vibe. I had their VR burger, which complements all the drinks I had. They have a grill where you can cook your own steaks, I'm definitely coming back here for a few first dates.“
“It was such a stark contrast to the rest of the brewery! Kind of amazing that they had this area at the brewery. It was still pretty loud and packed but definitely less crowded than the rest of the brewery. The bartender was friendly and handled the rush of customers very well. The drinks were pretty good. Not the greatest I've had but solid. A great spot to catch up with a small group if you are around in Arts district and don't want any more beer. The great part is that if you want to keep going, there is the brewery right outside. Parking like anywhere in arts district is annoying but with some patients, doable down the street. Take a gander for a quick drink as you explore around arts district.“
“Well, we finally made a decision to come and try this place out. We felt welcomed, the atmosphere was very inviting. At first I was hesitant thinking they were going to have loud music, but it was not loud at all. The food was so good!. I had Camarones mojo de ajo, prepared with their jamming red sauce ?My husband had the Pescado sarrandiado... if I pronounced right. It was big and tasty as well. Both of our plates came w white rice and green leafy salad/Cucumbers.As for the drinks, we had an alcohol beverage it was to point!By the way..their chips and salsas are so good and different compared to others place we've been too.We gotta give a great shout out to Gabby a great and attentive service to the customers. We'll be back again but with family & friends.Gracias Gabby por su 100% servicio ???“
