“Lamb chops were wonderful. The gnocchi was like eating clouds - so light! They nicely divided the entree we were spiltting. They were extremely kind to the service dog my low vision friend travels with -they brought a bowl of water for the dog. I plan to bring a group here - they have a private room available.“

I told him he can just walk over to the La Pinata Taqueria, where I'll be enjoying some Tacos de Canasta, they're the best in Vallejo! Especially the potato and the frejoli tacos. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“I ordered a quesabirria taco and a burrito from here recently. The quesabirria was $5 for one that came with cucumber slices, one roasted jalapeno and one small cup of birria. It was amazing!! Really hit the spot in terms of flavor. The burrito on the other hand was good not great. It had a way too thick of a flour wrap around the burrito. I felt like I was eating a 30% flour wrap and only 70% filling. Otherwise, it was a good flavored burrito. I'll be back if I'm ever in the neighborhood for the quesabirria.“

“Nestled in the heart of Vallejo lies a culinary gem that has captured not just my taste buds but also my heart - Rumi Kabob. From the moment I pulled up, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that instantly made me feel like family. I opted for their combination plate, a feast fit for royalty. It boasted an array of flavors, from succulent chicken and tender lamb to savory beef and tantalizing Adana lamb shish. Accompanied by fluffy bread, fragrant rice, and a crisp salad, every bite was a symphony of taste and texture. What truly sets Rumi Kabob apart, however, is not just their delectable cuisine but also their exceptional service. The owner, a paragon of kindness, went above and beyond to ensure my first dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Not only did they take great care of me, but they also surprised me with a delightful sample of their baklava dessert, a sweet finale to an already extraordinary meal. Rumi Kabob has unequivocally become my go-to destination for Greek cuisine. With its unbeatable combination of mouthwatering dishes and unparalleled hospitality, it has earned a permanent place in my culinary repertoire. If you're in Vallejo and craving an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than Rumi Kabob. You won't be disappointed!“

“Best taco truck hands down! Ordered tripe, cow tongue, and beef tacos! Amazing flavor! The atmosphere is not so great as the truck is next to a dive bar. I'm not sure if he was the owner or not but you could tell he enjoyed his job and coffee!I ordered Aloha Latte and White Chocolate Mocha. The coffee was taste was strong but not too strong, and the flavors in the drinks mixed well together. The drinks weren't too expensive either. The views you get while drinking your coffee of the bay can't be defeated! I loved the seating area and the wood tables.Love that Rodeo has this hidden gem. Riley's Food Truck Chicken • $
1745 Nimitz Ave, Vallejo - 6.47 miles

“I've had the chicken tenders and fries and they were delicious. My critique would be that the breading of the chicken fell apart as I bit into it. I liked the flavor of the chicken and could tell that it was homemade. I can't remember if the fries seemed homemade, but they were also tasty and crispy. I asked for a side of ranch, which paired well with the chicken and fries.“

Súper Churros Food Trucks •
Andrade, avenida 23rd Street, Richmond - 4.72 miles

“OH MY WORD! Warm, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. Great ratio of cinnamon and sugar and they have warm filling options. They sell fresh hand made Churros here, bananas and even Tacos. Tiny little enclosed cart on the Corner of 23rd, so tiny that I drove by and missed it twice. Playing loud music that was a nod back to when my parents were younger, love songs. You walk up order through a side window and then wait to be called to pick up this decadent dessert. Totally worth the wait and trip. The churros can be ordered with no filling, individually or in bags. Fillings are Cajeta(similar to caramel), Vanilla or Strawberry. My son opted for the Cajeta. The filling was abundant, warm and just oozed rich caramel. So worth the trip to Richmond. We went out on a cold rainy night and it was just what our souls needed.“

“Gotta give props to Curbside Kitchen and their flavorful Filipinx inspired burgers! Love how they are representing the PI culture and their food truck is conveniently available next to Armistice Brewery, which has great ambiance. Perfect food pairing with beer! The owners are nice and it took about 10 min for them to whip up my signature Curbside burger, which has Tocino (Filipino bacon) and it was absolutely delicious and filling. The beef patty was hot and flavorful, the brioche bun was a nice bite, the pickled veggies gave a nice acid pop to tickle the tastebuds- everything was hot and fresh and the portion was just enough. Will try their lumpia and other items when I'm back - they also do catering with an extended menu!“

Golden Gate Bistro Food Truck Fast Food • $
601 23rd St, Richmond - 5.18 miles

“For many years our workplace had a generic food truck onsite that served up traditional tacos, burritos, and the occasional weekly specials like loaded nachos. They had pre-made rice plates too. The quality was decent but after a while its possible to get tired of the same-oh, same-oh.One day I began seeing a red food truck from my office window, as opposed to the plain unmarked white one. It turns out to be Golden Gate Bistro, who specializes in burgers made to order.I tried both the Akaushi Cheeseburger and Grilled Chicken Sandwich and can recommend both. Akaushi is from Japanese Brown cows, and one of several sources of Wagyu. It'll cost more than In and Out or Habit Grill but its justifiable with the juicy burger. I also love their thick-cut, perfectly seasoned fries. If burgers aren't your thing, they also offer up smoked ribs, Impossible burgers, and the usual Mexican favorites like Quesadillas.“

Tacos El Trompo Tacos • $$
1170 23rd St, Richmond - 4.55 miles

“Haters be hating but the vibe and the Al Pastor tacos are great in this street food' stall! The tacos are street style (small) but they were generous with the meat. The al pastor is thinly carved right off the skewer into the tortillas to order. We love that! They will ask you if you want grilled onions and sliced fresh pineapple spining at the top of the skewer. Say "YES" to both and ask for grill jalapeños if you like em. We added our own toppings from the salsa table, sat on stools and watched them work as we gobbled up the tacos. Sitting there, we felt like we were back in Mexico.$3/taco is a little pricy but we'll pay it again.“

“So gentle the lady taking the order at the lunch truck she look higine and courteously, good experience for my first time here, they are on the side of the gas station they have benches you can eat there, but benches do not have shade, so, it's better to eat in the car. I ordered two tacos of pork skin ("Tacos de chicharron) wow, amaze me with the flavor the pork skin crunchy and that fried flavor that taste good once you eat it, you feel the tons of flavor with salsa on the top of the tacos and grilled onion and grilled jalapeño salsa spicy a bit but makes real flavor to the taco, and raw onion and cilantro, definitely ill come back for sure, pricey sure, but how they serve de tacos ? it's work it.Parking: There're plenty of parking they are on the side of a gas station easy accses to park .“

“My wife and I love the meat combo and italian prosciutto pizza here. Definitely unique and delicious at a reasonable price. They have a nice patio area in a great part of 1st St Benicia. It is perfect for lunch or relaxing in the afternoon with a coffee or drink. It reminds me of the pizza style at Casa Barotti on College Avenue in Berkeley, but I like the pizza more here and there are more food choices. I definitely suggest Drift check out the different styles of pizza offered at Barotti, as they have a wider variety. The family that runs it is so warm and welcoming. We are very lucky to have a place like this here in town - I really hope people in town recognize what we have! They even have gluten free pizza on Fridays which is pretty special for Benicia.“
