“Decided to check this spot out with my daughter and it did not disappoint. Im very picky about my katsu curry since I have high expectations. I went ahead and ordered it. Portion size was generous, chicken was crispy, and the overall flavor was tasty. The waiter came by and asked if i wanted more curry gravy. I personally thought the potatoes could have been left out but my dish was tasty and full filling. Customer service was on point even as it got busier. I would definitely come back.“

“Ok so first, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS, AMAZING, TERRIFIC, and so much more. Second, once you have ordered your food it will come in 15 or less minutes! Third, once you come into the restaurant, (you may have to wait in a line) the hostess will ask you for your name and phone number, if you want to be seated outside or inside, and how long the wait time is (about 20 minutes). Lastly, you should definitely consider coming to Jack's if you're feeling hungry! (They serve breakfast until 2:00pm and lunch all day.) PS you HAVE to try the Mac and cheese!Vegetarian options: You could get the omelet (which is very good) if you are looking for something that is for vegetarians.Kid-friendliness: The hostess would ask you if you want a kid(s) menus. “Excellent Bay Area specialty coffee with vegan food menu and enjoyable for anyone! The coffee menu had a handful of creative and tasteful signature drinks along with the classics. While in line I heard someone ask if the drinks were sweet and they kindly said “not St4rbux sweet” which is a green flag for sure to anyone who really knows coffee. They also offered that customer to make their drink less sweet if they were worried. I had my go-to iced americano to see how good their espresso shots taste since I was sure they were doing something right with so many other good reviews and my experience up to that point. The good vibes were there before I even ordered and that coffee hit too! The Avocado toast is on the fluffiest freshest bread with some sprinkled hemp seeds and chili flakes. I also opted for some chili oil and loved it! Super friendly service and a wait time that was indicative of the care they put into each order without having to wait too long! I wish I lived around here cause it seems like THE local community coffee spot I would be frequenting.“

“This is the finest sushi restaurant I have ever been to. Their food is fresh and delicious. I’ve been coming here since 2008 and since my 1st visit have never been anywhere else. They are friendly and make you feel like family. I live in Vallejo CA and still travel to Pleasant Hill, CA for their food. Each time I have dined there I come out totally satisfied.“

I already loved their shrimp "el patron" tacos and the fam would eat their Birria and fish tacos but I decided to go last night with my hubby for late night tacos (after 9pm hah) and whoa! What a surprise to see it had been remodeled and with a full bar!!Food is still good but oh my goodness try the margaritas! We had the choice of prickly pear, guava, classic or their infused tequila and I went with guava...so soo good. That guava is freessshh. Felt like I was back in Latin America. “I'm a proud torta snob and my BF and I have been on the hunt for a good one for ~6/7 years. On a whim we found this pace and love their tortas so much we don't order anything else for fear of missing the torta experience too much. We get the carne asada specifically and it's perfection. The bread is soft but slightly grilled so there's a nice crunch. The meat is ALWAYS cooked well, sliced thin, and flavorful. The veggies are fresh and the pickled jalapeño adds a kick. The bonus is the homemade chips with the salsa - just so good. I've eaten at least 7 of them and the quality and taste is consistent. I think it's the bread, honestly, that takes this next level. I wish I could buy their bread in bulk. Also, we've eaten in the restaurant only twice and the main woman who runs the show is the nicest person with the biggest smile. She is lovely. The whole staff is great and always smiling when I see them, too. Overall just a great place with tasty tortas (and I'm sure great food in general) and kind people.“

“Great pizza and very hospitable staff. It's a nice spot with plenty of clean seating. Would love to go back there. They were super accommodating to let us pick it up even well after they had closed. “We had amazing service on our first visit to Crescent Bistro. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing without feeling intimidating or overly swanky -- just really welcoming. Our waitress was a joy and she was so helpful with finding the best things on the menu and helping me decide. I took her advice about the beet salad and the navy bean, kale and sausage soup. The soup was fantastic. And I don't know when or if I've enjoyed a salad so much. My partner and I shared a plate of deviled eggs made with cured salmon and a dill and crème' fresh drizzle. Wow! It was a little too spicy hot for me, but I'm a wimp with hot spice. In my conversation with the waitress, I mentioned it was my birthday and she brought out a special treat of a gooey brownie with caramel sauce and toasted marshmallow fluff! It was only half a brownie, but it was so gooey and rich that I couldn't finish and had to bring half of it home. I was thankful that there was no birthday song to go along with it -- Whew! My partner got the butternut squash risotto with grilled shrimp on top. It was creamy and delicious. He also ordered an amazing looking Mocha in a good sized mug. I don't drink coffee, but it looked delicious. Even though we arrived 30 minutes before closing, our kind waitress kept reminding us that there was no rush and we could take our time. That was a nice treat to feel relaxed and able to enjoy the meal fully. This restaurant was not busy when we went, which was great, but I hope everyone discovers it so it doesn't shut down like the wonderful Pasta Pomodoro before. Please eat here. I want this place to stay open! There are so few restaurants left that have a warm, inviting atmosphere where you don't feel robbed by the time you pay your bill! Love this place. I'll keep coming back. Oh, by the way, our waitress told us that brunch on Saturday and Sunday goes until 4pm and it's fantastic. Can't wait to try it!“

“My friend and I visited for lunch on a Saturday and like other reviewers, appreciated that there were lunch specials on a Saturday. We both ordered the short ribs lunch special which included banchan side dishes. The short ribs were delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The staff were super friendly and also checked back with us as to whether we wanted additional banchan. Restaurant was clean. We will definitely be back.“

“Come to the Bay Area to visit family a few time per year and stop at Zachary’s every time. The stuffed spinach & mushroom is one of my favorite foods anywhere. The original spot on College Ave or the in Pleasant Hill are I make my stops but sure the others are just as good.“

Waiter was prompt with water, requests, etc.Reading the other reviews, it sounds like ownership took note and improved the customer service. I’m not a spicy food person, so I can’t evaluate spice level but they were very accommodating with my requests and you are able to pick your spice level - I’d imagine if you want something spicier they would be happy to add more heat!The food did take a minute, but it was totally worth it.“

“You know who the more seasoned servers are- I know you have to learn along the way but they call it shadowing for a reason. If you want to work, get great tips, pay attention, have integrity, and huddle. Get off your damn phone, refill drinks, cold plates come with the salad and always provide a pizza server with a hot pizza. Ask if the customer wants pepper or Parmesan cheese on their salad/pizza. Besides that the food is always amazing every single item. The seasoned servers know who they are and I always ask to sit in their section!“

“Pizza and sports bar with some nice Italian dishes. The chef is a wizard with mushrooms. I had the raviolini, mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce with sundried tomatoes. My companion had chicken Marsala and I grabbed his mushrooms. (He doesn't like them so more for me!) The place is popular. Lots of booth and table seating as well as the bar, all full.“

“Located in a little plaza but slightly hidden. Took us a sec to find because there isn't a large sign that says "Sherry's Kitchen" - it's tucked in an event center. Has its own parking lot with a lot of space. Inside is a little outdated but clean, seems very fitting. Staff is friendly, attentive and welcoming. Salmon lox - good and good portion of smoked salmon. I liked that they served the capers and onions on the side. I'm being picky but would have preferred the onions to be cut in circles vs chopped. The potato salad was ok, served warm which was a little odd, also wasn't a fan of the bell peppers in it 7/10 Corned beef hash - tasty, not too salty and the meat wasn't too dry. Nothing that stood out. 6/10 Blueberry pancake - this was a highlight. Not too sweet, i think it had fresh blueberries and had slightly crispy edges. 10/10 Overall, would recommend trying but nothing that I feel the need to go again.“

“We have always ordered on Door Dash. Everything we have ever ordered is amazing. Also- food comes fresh and hot. All pizzas are a win. I’m always looking for a place with good Fettuccine Alfredo (with chicken). This is THE place. AMAZING. Meat lasagna- YUM.I get the cheesecake as well. It’s good. The chocolate is pretty good. “Typical decor, clean and organized table setting, food is great and if your having large pho be prepared, its big and loaded with the ingredients you chose, its ok to pay $13 and up for your meal, after many years of not having pho and with my strict diet, large bowl of pho overwhelmed me, next time im having the kids size pho!?“

“We walked in and had to wait less than 5 minutes for a table on a Saturday morning! Waitress took our order super quick, was very friendly, checked on coffee levels (haha). Food arrived so quick, I thought at first it must be for a different table! Portion size is incredible! We both ordered omelets and a side of pancakes. We ate half our omelets and less than half the pancakes and we were stuffed. Typical diner noise, but not loud enough to not have a conversation. Will be back again!“

“The owner - Sharon is such a lovely host. The last couple of times we have gone in small to large groups she has always been helpful and taken good care of us. The quality of fish here is excellent, and consistent each time. The unfortunate part about the restaurant is one of her servers is unbelievably unprofessional and rude. He does not seem to grasp the idea of customer service. He was the very first person we experienced when we came and I was sure we'd never come back. However, the sushi and Sharon and many of the other servers are the reason why my friends and I continue to return. Coincidently, he avoids serving us because he knows we are fully aware of his lack of respect.“

“This sushi place is very near to my office. I have gotten lunch and dinner there off and on for many years now. The fish is good quality, and everyone there is so very nice. I almost always get takeout, but their restaurant is very pleasant for indoor seating, and the service is warm and friendly.Dietary restrictions: I am celiac, and they are always very accommodating with gluten-free soy sauce. They are also happy to adapt rolls for you if you ask. I usually enjoy sashimi the most so it’s not a huge issue for me.“

“I feel like this review is going to be unfair, because last time we had an out of this world experience. First visit. The restaurant was completely empty. An older gentleman suggested an amazing slow braised meat in curry. It was so tender and tasteful beyond description. We waited a while for that dish. Others in my party praised the food as amazing as well. Second visit. We tried to get that meat braised in curry and received a beef version of curry chicken. Now it wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing. The food us still pretty good, but after that first visit, it's really hard to compare anything to the flavors we tasted. So, I am going to still give it a 4 stars eventhough I feel that there has definitely been a change in taste and flavor.“

“We came here for the first time tonight. It was my birthday. Honestly, the food was just OK but our server was Justin and he was amazing. This place gets five out of five just for his service. Will definitely come back just because of him I know corporate places don't give raises, but if they did, he definitely deserves one. He seems very young, but still so good at his job. My favorite are pretty much anything that's spicy, the hot sauce they use is delicious. My daughter likes the brisket and pretty much fills up on that over a rice bowl.My only complaint is how expensive it is.
