You do not come here for the cheap eats. Considering the price range (nothing under $10) and the ambiance, it's not much of a foodie experience. It really is more a unique day to spend with family and friends. As others mentioned the seating without shade did not encourage lingering. The local art vendors are probably the best part. Otherwise, considering we are in the Bay Area, you can get better food experience at local restaurants.
I've seen this market all over my Instagram as the top things to do in the bay area, and it's certainly worth a one night trip. While they do charge an entry fee, it's quite affordable for $5 a night, or $9 for the weekend. Be warned though that much of the food is very, very expensive in the market area!There is parking right by the venue, but that also costs money ($17). The 626 night market was such a fun experience! If you go, I would recommend doing what my friends and I did, and each of you getting different foods and then sharing, so you can try the widest variety of options. The food is a little on the expensive side but it was all delicious. The highlight of the night for me was the Carne Asada Nachos from the taco truck they had, because those might genuinely be some of the best nachos I've had, they were DELICIOUS! 626 is a great event...read full review
