“I visited the cafe for the first time, and I wasn't disappointed! The fried pickles appetizer was delicious! I also had the fish and chips and I was delighted with the flavor of the fish. They were perfectly crunchy on the outside. The fries were pretty good, though they could've used more salt. My only complaint about the fish and chips is that the basket they came in was too small to comfortably cut into the fish, so I had to use my appetizer plate to eat it. I got 4 good-sized pieces of fish and a pile of fries, and I honestly ended up taking home half of my meal. It could very well be half the size and still be worth the same price! The 2 people I dined with agreed that their meals were very large, and they both ended up taking half of their meals home, as well. All in all, I had a great experience and will definitely return to this Main St gem!“

“Always good food. Excellent service. Might be busy because a lot of locals go here.. My suggestion:: The Hamburger Steak and eggs. Order a side of gravy, it's a big patty so be hungry. The food is always done perfectly, my compliments to the cook.One of the best Cafes in Porterville.Here again this morning heading out on a long road trip. “The very first bite and I absolutely knew that this was best patty melt I have eaten anywhere. I chose sourdough bread and pepper jack cheese. They grind their own meat. It was cooked perfectly and the strange part I noticed it melted in mouth. The onion rings are cooked well done and didn't fall apart like others. The macaroni was great . It has strong mustard taste. I will be posting more food from this place.“
