“We stopped here on the way to a camping trip, as we were looking for a spot to watch a football game. First of all, it is so fun inside! Great pool tables, fun lights, a stage...think upscale dive bar! We had amazing service, and the bartender even took the time to help us find the channel with our game so that we could watch. She was attentive, kind, and engaging. There was a great variety of beer on tap, including a sour which is my beer of choice! The food was absolutely delicious! We shared the fried pickles and shared a couple of burgers with beer battered fries and onion rings as the sides. All of it was cooked great, and it was all flavorful! We really enjoyed our time here!“
“Dark, loud, and divey with cold beer and fantastic burgers! A favorite post-hike treat for us on a weekend afternoon. I can't attest for the night scene, but during daylight hours you will usually find a scattering of locals and possibly a few bikers taking a break from their ride back from Julian. My favorite burger is the Juicy Lucy - always delicious and dripping with toppings and cheese. Pair that with a cold beer and dome tater tots, and i'm in heaven!“

“I stopped in for the all you can eat catfish that was recommended by a local. I'm glad that I took his advice. I'm from Eastern NC so I know catfish. We eat it regularly. I can confidently say that this is the best catfish I've ever eaten. It isn't beer batters but instead they use a light cornmeal dusting that becomes perfectly crunchy, combine that with the moist clean white catfish inside and I can promise you that you will remember it for the rest of your life. I hope that I get this catfish in heaven because it's truly heavenly. Ms. Mary is the owner and cooks with love and you can taste it in every bite. It's everything you could ever want. I'm beyond full but I still feel the love in my belly. This is a must eat if you're in the area. Truly an incredible meal.“

The Turkey Inn is the oldest licensed bar in San Diego if I'm correct.There are always locals frequenting the Turkey and on weekends it fills with people going to and coming from Julian.The bar is owned by a Clamper, a member of E Clampus Vitus so fellow Clampers are always welcome!Satisfactory!!“
