“Fantastic brewery located in the Rancho area, tucked away between a handful of industrial warehouses. Great beer selection w/ a variety of IPA/DIPA primarily. Some hard seltzer options for your group if they're interested in that. TONS of seating areas - both high top tables, beer garden style tables, both indoor and outdoor vibes. They have special activities nearly every day of the week - from trivia night, $5 pints, to live music. There are food trucks posted here on many days of the week with a rotating variety so you'll never get bored. Really stoked that our buddies found this place and suggested it as a place to catch up over a beer and hang out. Servers are knowledgeable about their beers and friendly. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place that isn't a "bar" to grab a drink in the Citrus Heights/Rancho area.“
“The food was good. Good portions and it was very spicy, ordered the hottest spice level tender, while the heat lived up to my expectations, unfortunately the thing that I’m looking for in a chicken tender is the outside crunch when you bite into it. Hopefully this isnt how it’s supposed to be normally because personally I feel that the crunchy surface of a chicken is the best part. I’ve been to Dave’s a lot before and while they serve smaller tenders than here, the crunch is present unlike the tenders here at Roostarz. I would love to go back here again but I’m worried that it might not be any better next time in terms of just my preference, but maybe that’s just me and I’m being overly picky.“

“Attended a birthday celebration during a Saturday around 1pm. I usually frequent another brewery a few blocks away in Rancho - I am glad I broadened my horizon and explored new territory. The location itself was large. They also had seating outdoors. They had a wide variety of beer and after mentioning being a first timer, the bartender explained to me how they displayed their beer selections - left to right. Although it was pouring outside, they had a food truck outside (that later came inside to take orders). Overall, I had an amazing experience and will bring friends back here.“
“Big Boss Cafe is without a doubt the best sandwich I've had in probably a decade. When I first took a bite I instantly felt as if I was transported back in time to my early childhood. Memories of to when I would get a turkey sandwich and go to the park with friends.In the past decade since the recession Ive seen every sandwich restaurant I love decrease the quality of their bread in order to maintain high profit margins. Stale bread, cooked the nights before or shipped in on trucks and stored in freezers, full of low quality grains and almost flavorless by the time its put onto a sandwich. I feel like we've become accustomed to bread just kind of tasting bland.But here bread was fresh, and full of strong flavor. It was apparent that quality and flavor was the driving factor behind these sandwiches.The sandwich alone would've been enough to warrant a 5 stars, but the fact that everything else on the menu, from the drinks to the hotdogs, are solid as well makes this place even better.“
“My kids and I love coming here. It used to be a weekly stop and now that our schedule has changed we don't make it as often, but try to stop in when we're going by the area. We usually get the family box, which has more than enough food and options/customizations to feed all four of my kids plus some left over for me and their dad, more affordably than it costs to eat elsewhere for a family of six. We also love the dog-friendly patio and the excellent service we have received.“

“You can always tell if a Mexican restaurant has authentic food based on their salsa. Well, we always ask for extra red salsa Our favorite thing to order is crispy tacos especially birra!! Tonight, I decided to mix it up and asked for asada fries, but substitute the asada for birra. It was a delicious switch up. Great portion sizes, too. We're a family of 7 and eat here weekly.“

“This is a spot I frequent due to the proximity to my job. It's in an unassuming strip mall, but don't let that deceive you of the quality of their food and service.The wait staff is excellent and friendly. The prices are more than reasonable and the food is definitely above average. I've never got anything that I haven't liked.They have a small self-serve chip bar with a great assortment of different types of salsas at all spice levels, so there's something for everyone. If you want limes for anything, just ask and they're happy to provide them from the kitchen.I typically get the chicken tacos. 3 is enough. On Tuesdays they run a taco Tuesday special and the tacos are ridiculously low priced.My only complaint is that the tacos can be somewhat watery. I don't know if that's because of the way that they cook the chicken? The tacos are still excellent, it's just not something that I'm used to when ordering street style tacos. I've also got the super burrito a handful of times. This also is an excellent choice when I'm more hungry and the tacos won't cut it.Id recommend this spot to anyone, especially if you work in the area. Quick friendly service with good food.“

“Nice vegetarian/vegan restaurant with a great selection of food. I got Aloo tikki chaat and Veggie tikka(Kofta) with rice. Aloo tikki was made freshly and had chickpeas and mint and sweet chutney on top which tasted delicious. Veggie kofta gravy was pretty good, kofta itself could've have been slightly better. The portion size are decent and pricing is reasonable.“
