“Lovely atmosphere and outstanding service! The spring rolls with pork and yummy peanut sauce were delicious. Chicken stir-fry also delish--vegetables were cooked yet still slightly crispy. Pho broth very tasty. Pleasurable dining experience“
“Came for dinner when we couldn't find any other restaurant open after a night of line dancing. How lucky we did! We still haven't stopped talking about how delicious the deviled eggs were or how we wiped our plates with our fingers to get every morsel. The only thing we didn't order was our table - it was drafty and cold.“
“The food was delicious! The only problem is that I should have ordered more. ?. I will be back. ?The service was great! The young man at the register was so polite. Good job mom and dad for raising such a respectable young man. It's hard to find such great customer service from young people. I have to give props when I find such a thing. Please support this business!“
“Use of natural teas in the milk tea enhance the overall flavor profile of the boba on hand. The brown sugar flavors present in a good chunk of the teas is only further accented by their ice cream boba drinks. Great for hot snacks and chilling, nice atmosphere and great food.“
“Charming local restaurant with friendly family vibe and delicious food at reasonable prices. Our group of eight enjoyed a fabulous lunch of very generously portioned gourmet sandwiches with yummy asparagus soup side, and beautifully grilled artichoke appetizers. Will definitely be back to check out Sunday brunch and dinner menu.“
“Delicious donuts and terrific service! Some of my favorite things about Marie's is that they're open late, the sugar donuts are delicious, they take phone orders, and the staff are friendly (this is probably my favorite thing - seeing the friendly faces).“
“I attended a private event at The Classy Hippie and was absolutely amazed at the knowledge I gained about the healing property of tea and even how to pair it with foods, who knew? Leo, the owner was very knowledgeable about the different properties of tea and shared a wealth of information on the subject. I'm not usually a tea drinker, I prefer coffee, but afterwards I purchased several blends of tea and will be enjoying it more often. Thank you Leo and Rico for hosting us. PS Leo I'm still waiting for those recipes. ?“
“Always a great vibe during a holiday or special occasion.Ice cream made fresh in store. The ice cream is also sold at various locations in Sacramento but it's best from it's source located here.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of Dairy free and food coloring free options available.Parking: There are sometimes spots in front but a majority of time you will have to do a little searching. ☺️Kid-friendliness: Great spot for kids. Kids love seeing their ice cream scooped as well as the desserts they have on display. ?“
“Great experience at this restaurant. Yummy food that is beautifully plated, attentive, and friendly staff earned 5 stars from me. We had the braised pork shank that was so tender it fell off the bone! Also enjoyed the Mussels and shrimp Piccata. The lamb meatball appetizer was a bit dry, but the flavor was great. Otherwise, our meal was wonderful. I'm looking forward to returning to try more dishes!Parking: Right next door“
“So I heard that they were doing breakfast biscuits, from 7-9am on mondays. Headed out there, made it a little before 8am thinkin yeah, I'll get a biscuit. When I tell you that there must be people waiting at this place BEFORE 7 I mean it, they were sold out. This only made the mythical breakfast biscuit even more desirable. I will be there at 7am next week...hell, 6:45 even. Hanging my head in defeat I went to leave, only for him to come running after me offering just a biscuit so I wouldn't leave empty handed. This man is doing the lords work, aside from the biscuit being absolutely fire, he just gave it to me! I'm elated truly!! Midtown bakery thank you so much for being a literal bakery temple, whatever your recipes are or secret ingredient... it must be crack. It's so good my human brain can't even comprehend it. Mark my words, if you're coming to get a breakfast biscuit sandwich thing next week you will have to fight me to be first in line. I would die for this, I need it and I would live for it too. If you ever have the chance to go here, it's worth waking up early. Just don't come before 7am next week that's for me and my breakfast biscuit worship time. If Midtown bakery is a temple I am a devout worshipper.“
“Dine in or take out it’s your preference. Come inside and be greeted with lovely music and brightly color portraits of various inspiring people. The secret menu of Selena bom bom is white mocha with toasted marshmallow and rose was so good !!!! As well as the mocha mazapan!!! Absolutely delicious !!! The breakfast sandwich was ordered to your specification’s. I loved the atmosphere and the service . The person that took our order was helpful and kind. As the manager or owner was talking with two little girls and made them smile with a little treat of mazapan . As they watched the artist who was painting on a canvas ( yes. They support a local artist and his artwork of beautiful artwork . It’s a must for sure in downtown Sacramento .“
“Nice and cozy vibe, the Gelato was delicious I have an affinity for strawberry and man they don't miss on that. Also for my gluten free folks a lot of their flavors are gluten free.Dietary restrictions: They have a lot of option for Gluten free.“
“Great service. It was so helpful with their recommendations of tacos since there are so many choices. This evening it is raining, and due to that, they gave a discount. Fair prices already. Great little place. Friendly people. Really good food.“
“My boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to try for breakfast and this is THE spot!! Not only are the vibes and art 10/10, but the service was wonderful! We got the iced lavender matcha and horchata cold brew both wonderfully made! And the hooked-up bagel is my new favorite breakfast sandwich! Also bonus I put $2 into their claw machine and won a free sandwich and free bag of coffee beans! ❤️?“
“The food was really good I highly recommend and for the dessert omg I tried konafa! The only thing that happened they forgot my humas and pita bread as soon I arrived back they got on free baklava it was also really good ? well be back again thank “
“A true gem! Everything about our experience was just lovely. Get the bread and butter (!), the sides were amazing, the cacio de peppe lived up to the hype, and the special was great. All around would recommend to anyone! A reservation is a must, this place was packed.“
“Good food. We sat outside, which (for me) was really loud street traffic (at no fault of the restaurant, of course). But I'm from the country and not used to it. Fodder was great. I had the Korean fried chicken, not something I've ever had before, and it was really good!Kid-friendliness: The has a kids menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Right off the street. No steps or anything the would not accommodate a wheelchair or similarmedical device that I can see.“
“We continue to have delightful experiences here - a result of the pleasant and happy staff paired with thoughtfully sourced and expertly crafted cuisine. Dining in this space you can feel that the team cares about the work they are doing and take pleasure in delivering excellent experiences to their guests. The service is warm and attentive, the cuisine is considered but not fussy - warm vibes and good eats, what else could one ask for? Highlights: winter BLT, Beet Panzanella, Pork Belly, you can’t go wrong.“
“Kicking myself for not coming sooner. Located on the north western edge of Midtown, great venue for beer. Limited indoor seating but a nice covered patio. Staff state heaters are available during colder weather. The beer? I'm a German fan; however, there excellent Pilsner, something that's hard to pull off, highlights their brewing skill. Next beer was a Hefeweizen. Hef nose but solid banana notes with a hint of cloves. No skunky yeasty taste. My sample of the Red Ale was solid as well. So the brewer knows how to brew!Free hard pretzels for munchies, plus snacks for purchase. Check ahead if it's OK to bring outside food, but if there is a food truck, you should skip outside food.“
“Ambience, decor and space are great. Everything once would look for in a place like this. They even have several games inside. As for the ciders, they have over 20 options. Flavors range from mango, jalapeño, guava, raspberry, lavender and so many others. The profile is mostly very dry. I could not find one cider that I really liked. They were OK for me but not spectacular. My 4 stars rating is for the service and atmosphere, otherwise I would give this place a 3 stars, at the moment.“
“I love The Sandwich Spot so much! Best place for a sando. The Dutch crunch is perfect and fresh. This small location in an old midtown house turned store front that has hardwood flooring, plenty of inside seating and a restroom. I always add on the chocolate chip cookies and jalapeño potato chips which compliment every Sando in my opinion. The workers are fast and friendly. Ample street parking. Closes quite early so be sure to come before 3pm (LUNCH HOURS) Today I ordered 3 sandos. My mom and son both got the Kings Court with pepper jack on a French roll. I ordered the Sac Bee on Dutch crunch with pepper jack. Comes with marinated hot chicken, bacon, avocado, and choice of cheese. Be sure to add on all the fresh veggies for an elite sando experience. 10/10 highly recommend yum!“
“Came here last week and tried their butter chicken burrito which was super good. The owner was amazing and gave me a side of the waffle fries because I waited a little longer. Let me tell you the fries were bomb absolute explosion of flavor would absolutely recommend to anyone who loves Indian food and want to try something new.“
“I'm adding this place to my list of local favs! Food is delicious with lots of vegetarian options - I highly recommend the mole cheese enchiladas. They also have lots of living plants inside - overall, I'm impressed and will return.“
“My husband & I are new to CA. We were told to get a great cup of coffee this was the place to go for that & more....that advice proved to be excellent! I can bring my dog while I go in it's great. The coffee I get is the Capricorn dark roast, it's a daily necessity for me. The service is always top notch & there's always a good vibes.“
“Shift Coffee House offers a solid grilled cheese sandwich — crispy on the outside with a generous amount of melted cheese on the inside. Their latte was well-crafted too, strong and smooth, great for a caffeine fix. The atmosphere is laid-back, making it a good spot for some focused work or a relaxed coffee break. A comfortable spot that gets the job done without too much fuss. The service here is also awesome and super friendly. Worth checking out if you’re in the area and need a bite or a sip while you tackle the to-do list!“
“Urban Roots is my favorite spot for barbecue. While it may be a bit pricey, you can upgrade your smoked meat selection to a combo meal for an additional charge, which includes a side salad, a side of your choice, and cornbread. The cornbread is a must-try; it's the best I've ever had, especially when paired with their sweet butter.Although I'm not a big fan of beer, their beers are delightful. With both indoor and outdoor seating, plus being dog and kid friendly, Urban Roots is a place I highly recommend visiting.“
“Sorry, no photo (s), it was that good! I got the lamb and rice plate and I was in heaven!!! I didn't realize I was that hungry lol I truly recommend Mykonos Gyros to anyone who wants incredible food with a taste of Greece ? OH boy will I be back as I work in the Arden area. This food truck was an amazing idea put into action in sharing a wonderful experience with your taste buds, heart, soul. Please stop by and support this great lady!!! She deserves love and happiness from food lovers. ❤️“
“Tonight, we made a special trip to downtown Sacramento to try Salt & Straw ice creamThis is located at the heart of downtown Sacramento. But don't be intimidated to visit this business. Salt & Straw is located in the redevelopment area of Sac. It is located at the old Ice House. Yes, ice house, where they use to make blocks of ice for early refrigerators.Parking is great. There is frontal parking as well as street parking. The neighborhood is safe and there are plenty of people walking around. Tables out front to enjoy your dessert. Now for the ice cream. My kids had a Lavemder Honey ice cream scoop and my son has the snickers ice cream. Both were very good. Staff here are very friendly and best of all, offers samples . So, don't be afraid to ask for samplesAmbiance. 5/5Friendly staff 5/5Location. 5/5Flavor. 5/5Price. 4/5. (Hey, you get what you pay for)Overall, 5/5Other thoughts and notes. SALT & Straw has seasonal ice creams. During thanksgiving, my kids told me that they had some sort of casserole flavor ice cream. All flavors are very goodHope you enjoy my review“
“Its so rare to find a place that serves hotdogsI had the Chad (hotdog) and the Georgia mocktailBeen back 3x since. Highly recommendInside seating is limited to the bar, but on warmer days, there is plenty of outdoor seating. If you plan on ToGo, order ahead about 20-30 mins“
“What a great hidden gem in downtown Sac! I stopped by after lunch, and they made an excellent Americano with great flavor that hit the spot. I always love a coffee shop with a great ambiance, and this place fits the bill. Stop in; you won't be disappointed!“
“He was outstanding. Very receptive, and the cost was fair. He set my garage up and got it going. He is such a lovely person. He came outside to find out why my garage wasn't working. He didn't charge us anything for it and turned down our gift, which was our power. He stated that it is his responsibility to look after us as his clients. He always makes it on time and is friendly.“
“Nice waterfront restaurant floating on the river, with beautiful views and great service. I just ate the best lobster sandwich ever. I lived in New England area and have had lobster sandwiches there and in other parts of California, so I have had experience. Cole slaw was also delicious! I definitely recommend! I am coming back the next time I fly into SMF!“
“Just stopped in on a lunch walk for an iced tea and ended up getting a brownie too. Very good chocolatey brownie and a good black iced tea. Not busy, plenty of seating indoors and out. Friendly service. Photos of native people from Rio on the back wall.“
“The freshest burgers and fries ever! The fries are so thick and crispy but soft in the middle. This place is sooooo delicious. I am going to be a weekly regular here! ?P.S. The only thing I didnt like (which is a personal preference) was the chocolate shake was just vanilla with a little syrup in it but the quality and texture of the milkshake was perfect!!“
“I've been here a couple times and in short....its well above solid. Food is tasty and innovative. The chefs are full of personality and conversation. Many items on the menu have "seasonal veggies" so you do take a roll of the dice on some. But when I got a vegetable I'm not too keen on, it was still a tasty addition to the flavor profile. I'll definitely be back more!“
“Lucid Winery is amazing! The venue is GORGEOUS, the wine delicious, and they offer amazing mocktails as well! My nonprofit, Julie’s Purse Project, is having an event there in May and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the event space and hospitality of the staff! Kevin and Jenna have been so great to work with and I am so excited to be able to have my first big fundraising event at the beautiful location. Highly recommend!!! 5 stars for sure.“
“There are so many ramen restaurants that disappoint- this is the opposite. The broth is rich and flavorful, the pork is roasted to full flavor and texture, and the egg is suitably soft. Good luck finding better. The Banh Mi is similarly excellent. Origami Grill sticks to a simple menu and gets each item just right. Well done, all around.“
“First time there, everything was done really well. Loved the atmosphere will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: My son and his fiancé are on a strict veganish diet. That was the reason they picked this place and it did not disappoint.Dietary restrictions: Lots of choices that the staff knew a lot about.“
“Visited this cute coffee shop in the Curtis Land Park area. Always pass them on my way to Choc Fish but today I decided to stop in. I was drawn to their blue lavender latte that I saw on their social media page. Located off of 11th Ave. There's street parking right in front of their cafe, there's also parking for the small park across the way. So there's no reason to not stop in. Exterior is so cute with an outside patio to enjoy the morning/afternoon. The building reminds me of something you'd see in the background of a movie montage or somewhere in Europe. Although I've never been (to Europe) so you can be the judge of that. As I walked inside, there were already 2 tables filled up with the "regulars" . A family enjoying their Sunday morning and a table of old men having a meetup with friends. I love the feel & vibe of this cafe already. They have menus for food and a display case of so many different pastries. My only mission today was to get the latte but next time, I'm aiming for their food. The barista was busy from making the drinks, warming up the food but she still greeted me upon entry. Got my latte with oat milk and waited patiently for my drink but I was in no rush. As soon as my drink was ready, the barista was so sweet in letting me know if there's any adjustments needed, then to let her know. Normally, I don't need adjustments but it was thoughtful of her to say that. Not common but highly appreciated! While it is still available, I highly suggest coming into this coffee shop to try the blue lavender latte but also their other drinks (i.e., mocha, latte, cappuccino etc). Blue is for the added spirulina and the drink itself was perfect, not too sweet & not too floral either. While they have coffee, there's something for the tea lovers as well! Nice cafe with plenty of indoor & outdoor seating with great customer service. Adding them to my list of coffee shops to frequent.“
“The overall description for heat here is kind of interesting. Got the med + because it was hard to tell how hot to choose. They don't even offer the hot hot on dd so got the medium plus.Very quality chicken perfectly cooked and the spice level is enjoyable, but for a real heat seeker I would go for hot next time. Spice blend is nicely balanced with a max of flavor, chicken crispy after delivery.Big money sauce and dirty ranch quite fire and both easy on the pallette.“
“This is such a cute coffee house. If you love coffee, delicious pastries, and books this the place for you. We were staying nearby at an Airbnb and were able to walk here. Great location near the park and the service was exceptional. My cappuccino was just what I needed and the apricot scone was fresh and so buttery and flavorful. We visited a couple of times during our stay and will definitely stop for coffee again the next time we are in the area.“
“I was crunched for time and they were able to get me my food faster than a drive thru at a fast food restaurant. Friendly and accommodating service. I have passed this place several times and have wanted to try, and they did not disappoint. The food is GREAT! I got the spicy chicken gyro with a Greek salad, oh so tasty. If you have not tried them, make sure you do. If I lived closer I'd be in trouble.“
“Great place to go and hang out with your friends and family in the evening. They always have great musicians and local bands on the stage every time that I've been there. Great selection of local and craft beers. Highly recommended for a chill night out!Parking: Parking is a problem, but the owner is working on a long-term solution to make it easier to park for guests.“
“This is the perfect time lunch spot after the zoo, fairy tale town. They service breakfast till 2 on Saturday! My daughter loves breakfast [pancakes] her friend we brought only likes chicken littles [nuggets] and I was craving a taco so bad. This place made it all happen! We been back 3 times!Kid-friendliness: Have kids menu with america and Mexican food.“
“Druthers in Sutter Park is a hidden gem! Their lattes are fantastic - perfectly smooth and flavorful. But the real star is the location. The outdoor patio offers a charming escape, perfect for soaking up the sunshine while enjoying your coffee, and the inside looks/feels very nice, clean, and cozy. I also tried their waffle, which was interesting, not what Im used to, but still good. I highly recommend checking it out!“
“Just had one of the best dining experiences EVER at Zócalo. Not only was the food excellent, but the service was incredible. My server America was prompt and hospitable in helping me decide on their expansively delicious brunch menu (glad I took her recommendation on the Arrachera con Huevos). She and the bar staff were also very accommodating, even as I ordered technically “off-menu” drinks. As I finished up, I was so pleasantly surprised to see a manager on duty (Nicholas) cheerfully helping his staff clean tables on the patio and sweep up the area as the brunch lull died down. He even grabbed me a to-go bag for the box he saw on my table without me even asking. It was so refreshing to not only have my needs anticipated but to see a staff that seems to work together so well to provide a truly excellent dining experience. Worth even more Michelin stars than they already have!“
“We had been here a couple of times and the food was great, but we were there a week ago and it was horrible. The service was lacking, and the food was sub-par. I ordered the super burrito and the carne asada tasted burnt and had a terrible aftertaste. Debating whether we’ll return.“
“Girlfriend and I stopped by for a quick drink while waiting for our table for dinner at another restaurant nearby. The service was great, we were recommended a flight to try a few beers. Everything we tried was enjoyable. Everyone there seemed friendly. Will be back another day to try some food and more beers.“
“Scorpio Coffee is a unique gem in town which I have been visiting regularly since it opened. They use quality caffeine: coffee sourced from top-rated roasters nationwide and matcha that is unmatched in Sacramento! If you’re a newer visitor: anticipate seeing a new and delicious specialty drink and food menu (ft. locally sourced, in-season ingredients) that is different from previous visits or menus posted online. There is almost always a line, especially on weekends and there is limited seating indoors. Outdoor seating is weather dependent but could easily accommodate bigger parties. Overall Scorpio Coffee will be better enjoyed by those who are looking for an incredible coffee and dining experience and not a quick bite with coffee. That being said, I regularly take my order to-go but it is always worth any wait!“
“There are many things that make Moonbelly special, but here are 2 that stand out the most to me.First, every pastry that isn't a cookie or a loaf is made with a beautifully laminated croissant dough. This is not necessary and could totally be done with cheaper pastry for everything other than the croissants, but it is incredibly delicious and luxurious.Second, nearly every day they have a pastry that is savory but does not have meat or eggs. To have a consistent pastry option with veggies in it is genuinely what gets me out of the house to go to Moonbelly.Vegetarian options: They have savory pastries that are vegetarian (not vegan) on the daily, and it is awesome. Veggies and cheese nestled into flaky croissant dough is my favorite way to start the day.“
