“Visiting Del Mar for a family event, we happened on the Broken Yolk cafe. It was Sunday at 11 am, seeing a small crowd waiting for a table boded well for a local favorite breakfast spot. The menu was extensive. We ordered eggs, Machaca and Heuvos Rancheros, both delish! My favorite part of the meal was the excellent service given by Geraldo. He was so welcoming and attentive, a giant thank you to him.“

“Authentic Italian Bakery! How did I miss this place?! So unassuming, hole in the wall bakery tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. The pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and authentic. Don't come here expecting American style pastries or sandwiches. It's amazing and the quality is there! I've been to Italy, husband is from France so his expectations are always high when it's an European bakery. He loved the Italian sandwich and Italian ham especially. As for the prices, it's on par with the quality, did I hear imported Italian flour?! Yes. Italian family owned bakery where you hear them speaking Italian? Yes. Cute Italian mom and dad hanging out in the bakery? Yes. You can't get more authentic than that. My new favorite local bakery.Kid-friendliness: Yes“

“Stepping into Tony’s Jacal was like stepping back in time to 1946, the year it first opened its doors. The rich history and nostalgic décor immediately captured my attention, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.Despite its Solana/Del Mar location, parking proved to be surprisingly manageable, thanks to designated spots scattered around the residential area. While we had to park across the street, it was a small inconvenience and helped me get a few extra steps in.Customer service, while not overly warm, was efficient and no-nonsense. Our orders were taken swiftly, and the food arrived fairly quick, despite being busy. The unique system of paying the bill, with your table number at the front counter, added to the old-school charm of the place. Now, let's talk about the food – the star of the show. We kicked off our meal with the shrimp ceviche, which, while flavorful, left us craving a bit more shrimp amidst the abundance of fresh veggies. For our main course, we savored the chicken enchiladas Verde and Chicken Mole, both of were delicious. The Verde sauce was a standout, perfectly complementing the tender chicken and accompanied by delicious sides of rice and beans. The Chicken Mole, with its rich, velvety sauce, was another highlight. The elote was good but slightly overcooked corn. The homemade flour tortillas were the BEST!!!!!Overall, our dining experience was great, leaving us eager to return and explore more of the extensive menu offerings. With its rich history, charming ambiance, and delectable cuisine, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem worth discovering. Whether you're a local or just passing through the area, make sure to add this place to your list – there's something here to delight every palate.“

“These guys were the best but out of a food truck usually in front of a brewery. Now they have also taken over where Up in Smoke used to be. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Awesome burgers and sandwiches. Also beer on tap and wine. The location is off the street and seems weird but once inside you will feel at home and keep coming back. Cheers“

“Best pizza I've had in a long time. Crust is perfectly made the way I like, crisp on the bottom, but not all the way through, I have tried most of their selections. It's hard to pick just one, so I get a whole pizza and some slices to get the full experience.“

“was in San Marcos for a high school wrestling event and since I skipped breakfast was seriously famished by late afternoon. checked Yelp for a sandwich-place recommendation and happily wound up at Sub-Marine. ordered #33 the BIG KAHUNA (ham, salami, roast beef, turkey, pastrami, provolone, avocado, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, Italian dressing). very solid sandwich. not shareable (or monstrously huge at the price point) but still managed to waddle out fat and sassy. family owned and operated with exceptionally friendly and efficient service and a warm, inviting vibe.“

“The food here was really good! And the portions are right on. It was a little strange we got there at 8:15 and they had already pulled everything so left us to wonder if they were just warming up items. But it tasted fresh and the flavor was great.“
“Excellent home made pasta in the lasagna and other dishes we have tried. Great wine list. Limoncello deserts are both the best. We need to try more of the other menu items and specials. The service is great and everyone is really friendly and helpful. Nice view of Torrey Pines beach and the lagoon. Highly recommended for special occasions, happy hour, and all occasions.“

“The people who worked there were very nice and I got a great deal on Groupon but the food looked nothing like the advertisement and was not very gormet. I had a margarita pizza with no basil which I thought was odd and it was pretty cold by the time I returned home an exit away. The food was ok but I think it's because the thin crust made up for the mediocrity. I wouldn't complain if the pizza wasn't quite so expensive for what I got.“
“The food was great! The restaurant seems to always get packed during the lunch rush and I can see why! Healthy options for everyone! Alex was super helpful in explaining all the items so as to help me create my bowl. THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE!“

“This is an Escondido food gem found in a small strip mall. Outside they take great effort to set up colorful tables, benches and umbrellas as an invitation to step inside and try their sandwiches The food is absolutely delicious. Try their JJ's chicken sandwich. I've gone dozens of times and it always tastes like the bread was just made that day. The pastrami sandwich is excellent too. As for their smoothies, one taste of their O- Mega Green and I was hooked. It's made of avocado, (I think) kiwi and other delicious greens. We enjoy it so much it's become one of our weekly treats when we want something a little special. The prices are so affordable they won't break the bank AND the portion sizes are large and satisfying. The sandwich shop is a classic hole in the wall with various unrelated Knick knacks and children's toys, candies and sundry goods for sale along the walls. It's run by the nicest and most gracious family-style staff.“

“My son has food allergies and Olive Garden is one of our favorite places to go as they have a clear menu allergy information available both online and on the gadget they have on the table. They also has some policies to minimize cross contaminations and don’t use peanut oil for frying.Carmel Mountain location is very kids friendly and all servers are nice and professional.“

“First time CAVA customer. Why all caps? Ya YELLING at me? But hey food was good. At the One Paseo location the line moved quickly giving me just a little time to ask the person behind me how this place works. So many healthy choices‼️ I’d definitely come to CAVA when again in SoCal. So why no NorCal locations?I’d a given 5⭐️ if the facilities were cleaner. Oh, and definitely consider replacing the stained underside toilet seat in the men’s restroom. Stat.“

“Someone in my office knows the owners of Oriste and had them cater an office lunch. I love Greek food but usually, the food at restaurants is bland and very dry. This is especially true for takeout. I was very surprised that the food from Oriste was the opposite. Kebabs, Shwarma, chicken, everything was good. I hope to visit their restaurant.“

“First time trying Mendocino farms. Menu was pretty decently sized but a little bit too far catered to vagans/vegetarians. It was hard for someone with a meat based to choose what to eat. In the end I was able to find something that I enjoyed. I tried the chicken Parmesan sandwich and the chicken caprese both of which were very good. The Parmesan was definitely better. The food was great but the price was a little high. Tough to justify going back again“

“We came for a birthday celebration and truly enjoyed the experience! The happy hour (4-6pm PT) was fantastic! $7 for draft beer, house margarita, and 3-half-shell oysters were the best! We ordered 6 orders of oysters (18 in total), with 9 from the west coast, and 9 from the east coast. In mid-May, the west coast ones were A LOT fattier than the east coast ones. I personally like them more. Highly recommended! For dinner, our ordered the Brussels sprouts and octopus for starts, surf and turf plus the swordfish for entrees. All good! I would personally like the steak to be a bit more saltier; Brigantine kept the food on the lighter side - still delicious!Happy hour plus a full-on dinner cost $260. Not cheap, but given the high price level in SoCal, good food and excellent service, the price is about right.Parking: Parking is valet only. $8 fee and $2 tip.“

“We will definitely be returning. Our waitress was so helpful with selecting items off the menu. The food itself was delicious. Every item emerging from the kitchen was plated so well that it looked like a work of art and also inviting enough that I still wanted to dive right in. The desserts were phenomenal. Many of the menu items were made with honey, and there was also an option to take some home! It was a little loud and hard to hear the person I was dining with over the music, but not enough of an issue that we asked or have it turned down.“

“Definitely a nice sandwich shop. Similar offerings to Jersey Mike’s type places but definitely fresher and tastier! The turkey and pastrami was very yummy and great portions! “With a party of 13 adults and two kids, we expected a wait for a table, and indeed, it took an hour, but it was understandable given our group size. The waitstaff promptly attended to our drink orders and maintained efficiency throughout. The service was excellent, and the food was consistently great. I've been dining here for years, and without fail, each visit has been an amazing experience.“

“I'm just some guy who lives in a van, but I eat a lot of chicken sandwiches. I want to tell you about the one this place offers. I don't even really like these people, but I don't care, and neither should you, because I love a good chicken sandwich, and this is a totally incredible fried chicken sandwich, the flavor and juiciness combined with a crunchy, spicy, beautifully glazed breading makes for some of the best chicken I've ever had all by itself. Sandwich it between some delicious buns and bring down the heat with the zingy pickles and it's worthy of an award. The fries are as good as fries get. Cheers to the chef and the crew, thanks for the experience.“
