“What an incredible dining experience! Our server Chase was outstanding - friendly, attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the food, and provided excellent suggestions. The hummus and pita bread were delicious, the "Yalanji" grape leaves appetizers were zesty and flavorful. We split the mixed mashawi skewers (chicken and kafta) as our main dish - delicious! And the mint lemonade was a perfect complement to our meal. I highly recommend Ammatoli, but make your reservation in advance!!! I made ours two weeks before our chosen date and there were limited times available. The restaurant is very popular - with good reason! - and a local friend told be we were lucky to get a reservation!“
“We arrived on the late side for a Sunday night, but the gracious ladies quickly seated us and brought the menus. We all decided on the kebab plates: 1 chicken, 1 lamb, and 1 salmon! All were cooked to perfection and served quickly. We did decide to add a half order of humus, as well!“

Then the waitress trick us to order this meal for 2 people which cost us almost $80. which we split the bill. The manager didn't help at all because we call her to the table. “This spot was on point. I'm a difficult customer. I didn't know what I wanted. Yammel was so awesome. She answered my dozen of questions and put together a dinner for my husband and I that was healthy, filling, and delicious. I did take out. I ordered the family style dinner but I got beef kebab and steak instead of chicken for a bit of a charge. We also ordered the appetizer platter and tiramisu for desert. The sides of salad and pita, and everything that came with these meals will give us about three nights of Dinner. Ordering DoorDash or Uber Eats is becoming ridiculous. You pay $15-$20 in fees. So that's why I came in to order take out. So about 80 bucks we'll eat 3 nights. We would easily drop that on one dinner if we went out. Prices are just insane lately. Thank you Yammel for being so patient with me and for being friendly and kind.“
“You will not find better service than when you enter Borjstar. Honestly, they treat you like a star. They are attentive and incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. The food is just as great. Very flavorful and leaves you wanting more! They also have a yogurt/ice cream dispenser so you can treat yourself before/after your meal. Put Borjstar on your list of restaurants to visit in the Gardena/South Bay area. You won't regret it!“

Love their green sauce (not the Mexican one and I think it’s called chimichurri or something like that), it goes really well with the grilled chicken and vegetables we ordered. Love the hummus and yogurt, salad and the dressing. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. What I ordered: Gygo plate - 10/10. It comes with rice, salad, hummus, and pita bread. I don't think you can change the sides. Spicy lemon garlic whole chicken - 8/10. I should have paid extra for all dark meat because the white meat was so DRY. The sauce is my favorite. Sides: Orginal hummus - 10/10, so good. Spicy hummus - 8/10, a bit sour. Pita bread - 10/10, so soft! Side salad - 7/10, nothing special Regular potato salad - 1/10. I was SO DISAPPOINTED! I even a large side of this order. It was so so SOUR, too sour! I love lemon flavor, but this was overwhelming sour. Is this how it's supposed to taste??? Is the spicy garlic potato Salas sour as well? It went straight to the trash. I feel so bad. Garlic sauce 10/10. I paid extra for these and it's the best thing ever! Falafel- 5/10. I've had better elsewhere. The flavor was lacking and it seemed salty.“

“Always hesitant to try salmon somewhere famous for something else (chicken) but this kale salmon salad was amazing. The salmon is so fresh and what generous portion! Might be my new favorite although you can never go wrong with her rotisserie chicken here! My husband always gets it with a baked potato and it's always perfect! “Finally got to try this spot in Cerritos as I love anything Mediterranean food. It's a little restaurant in a small plaza across from Cerritos mall. I ordered the Beef Shawarma with rice, garlic sauce, potato salad, cucumber yogurt and falafel. Everything was delicious, cooked and seasoned well. Finally tried falafel for the first time and it was great, and even better when dipped ! The portions are huge too, I couldn't even finish the entire order. Their pita bread are huge and fluffy, probly the best pita bread iv had so far. Would definitely come back to try other plates“
“Stopped at Mashawi Grill for a late lunch for the first time. Facilities so clean, looks new but was told they have been opened many years. My sister and I were not super hungry so ordered two small chicken soup and split a chicken wrap. We were so delighted the soup was hot and delicious and the chicken wrap was tender and really delicious served with their Mashawi garlic spread with a touch of lemon. We will recommend this eatery and return soon!“
“Went and tried their food on a Weekday evening. Tried their Combo #5 with 4 beef shish kabob, 4 chicken shish kabob, 4 lamb chops, and 4 boneless chicken kabob. I also ordered a side of doogh. Their doogh doesn’t come carbonated, and was good, but wasn’t what I was expecting. The boneless chicken and beef were both cooked well and weren’t dry. The lamb chops were a little chewy but overall they were okay. I was a bit surprised they gave sumac on the side without me asking which was definitely a service plus! The size of the rice and mast o khiar may be a little small for two people, but it never hurts to ask for more. Overall, it was a pretty good experience!“

We shared the mezza appetizer which was delicious and definitely enough for the 6 of us. I ordered a chicken bowl which was tasty but the chicken kabob was overcooked.“
