“My Dad grew up in the South, so this food (down to the bottle of Crystal hot sauce) is what I grew up with. Now that he's passed, I turn to this place when I'm in need of a little comfort food. It's traditional Creole cuisine, but elevated with top quality ingredients and precision preparation.Vegetarian options: Wild Mushroom Jambalaya, cornbread muffins, hush puppiesDietary restrictions: Lots of GF options“
“My friend and I love seafood boils so we decided to try this place out for dinner. Cute decorations inside, place was clean, server was attentive, and the food came out quick. I ordered a lb of mussels and she got a lb of shrimp (head on). We both asked for a combination of the 3 sauces (medium). The cook and texture of the seafood was great. The sauce was heavy on the Cajun side which I liked and the spice level was a perfect medium. We also got the garlic noodles, it wasn't oily like most are and I enjoyed the garlic flavor. Definitely try this place if you're craving seafood!“
“Nola isn't your average restaurant; it's a full-blown New Orleans experience nestled in the heart of Palo Alto. The expansive space features multiple dining and bar areas, each overflowing with Southern charm. From exposed brick walls to hanging beads, the decor is a feast for the eyes.Nola embraces the modern age with phone ordering. Simply whip out your phone, browse the menu, and place your order – food and drinks arrive swiftly, keeping the party rolling.Be warned, the food at Nola is pure indulgence. From fried delicacies to rich, flavorful dishes, every bite is a celebration of Southern cuisine. This might not be the place for a health kick, but it's a haven for those seeking to satisfy their cravings in style (maybe book a cardiologist appointment for the following week)The cocktail menu is packed with some tasty concoctions, and prices hover around $15 for a good drink. Not bad for the area.Nola's only real downside is the limited number of restrooms. Be prepared for a short wait, especially on busy nights. Overall a great place for a night out, will definitely be returning.“
“This off the wall seafood buffet is not the greatest, but it can make a claim to being one. The seafood was fantastic, but better crab picking utensils are needed. The service was okay, but the table cleaning crews rock. The garlic noodles was a pleasant surprise. The Cajun shrimp was the star of the show for me.“
