Cat not only met but exceeded all expectations, providing an unparalleled level of service that left a lasting impression. From the moment we approached the bar, Cat greeted us with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm for her craft. Despite the bustling atmosphere, she managed to make each customer feel valued and attended to, going the extra mile to ensure that everyone's needs were met.Cat's expertise in mixology was evident in every drink she prepared. Whether it was a classic cocktail or a custom creation, each beverage was crafted with precision and care, resulting in a taste experience that was truly exceptional. What truly set Cat apart, however, was her dedication to customer satisfaction. She anticipated our needs before we even knew them ourselves, offering thoughtful recommendations and personalized service that made us feel like VIPs.In addition to her bartending skills, Cat's warm personality and infectious energy added to the overall ambiance of the bar, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons. In conclusion, my experience at Tom's Watch Bar was made memorable by Cat's outstanding service and unparalleled hospitality. “Went there for our first time and it was fantastic! Make reservations, which we didn't know we needed. However, there was a seats at the bar which is perfect for us. The bartender recommended food and we accepted, and so pleased we did! Calamari, prawn linguine and sausage linguine. His service and response time was impeccable. We also added the house wine to our meal which was a very good cab. No tap beers...the tappers were all fake and just for the look. Lol. Overall....we will be returning!“

“This is my boyfriend's go-to spot and he kept raving about how good it is, so of course I had to be the judge of that ;) We came in on a pretty busy Monday night, but were able to place our orders and snag a table. There's TVs all over so you won't miss out on anything no matter where you sit at. I got the Little Mule, which came with a sunny-side up egg. I absolutely loved the way the yolk oozed out. It was even better when I dipped the fries in it hehe. The fries themselves were really nice and crispy while maintaining a nice fluff to them. I liked how they used hawaiian rolls for their burgers, it adds a sweetness that balances out all the savory flavors. I took a bite of my boyfriend's burger and the chicken was super nice and juicy. He ordered a side of buffalo sauce which had a super unique flavor that was unlike any other buffalo sauces we've tried. It had a peppery undertone and was thicker than a normal buffalo sauce. Their burger patties are similar to a smash patty, so it has that nice crispy edge around it. I absolutely devoured mine since I was in the mood for a burger this night :p Everything was super good and I would totally come back to try out their other items :)!“

Your typical finger food and drinking foods! Bigger selection of beers and alcohol. The service is speedy and friendly. The ambiance is very chill, the music isn't too loud. The regulars that come here are all friendly and very welcoming! I would definitely come back to watch people play more pool & have a drink with friends!“

The Blind Pig Sports Bar • $
4720 El Camino Ave, Carmichael - 7.58 miles

“After enjoying glasses of chardonnay at nearby Luna Lounge (please reference my review if interested), my wife and I headed to The Blind Pig to enjoy a few cocktails. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly bartender by the name of Ronny. Our first round consisted of two dirty martinis (my new drink of choice), which Ronny put his fist (that's a good thing) into making. One of the things that I love about dive bars is the various demographics that usually frequent them (along with their interesting conversations). For our second round we ordered a "Manmosa (yes I know that sounds ridiculously machismo in 2024)" that Ronny insisted on putting a fruity spin on. Not only were we thankful for his suggestion, but his version was GOOD! In real dive bar-like fashion, Ronny provided us both with an extra cup to house the remainder of the Manmosa that could not fit into our glasses (another dive bar perk). As we sat at the bar, my wife and chatted while lightly watching the movie Step Brothers on one of the televisions. Although it was a fairly slow Saturday afternoon, I can imagine that this place gets pretty lively in the latter part of the night though. We observed lots of seating, games, and an area for karaoke (toasted karaoke is the best!). I highly recommend The Blind Pig if you're looking to have deliciously strong drinks at a price that won't have you waking up the next morning rethinking the decisions that you made the previous night!“

“While waiting for dinner reservations close by, I found this cool spot that serves ciders, beers and finger food. This used to be the “Cider House” that served poke bowls. I was really surprised on how tasty their ciders were here, that I ordered more than what I should have. It is like drinking juice ? soooo good! The staff were friendly, attentive and I really enjoyed the cozy relaxed vibe and they have outdoor seating and bar games. Will definitely return to try their food!!! Two thumbs up!“

“Ever felt like a place is semi in between fancy or casual. The service is a one man show for front of house, so I could imagine how back of house operates. Its last management was very accommodating to the regulars and first timers. This is my third time coming to this establishment. The food is made in a decent time of waiting and drinks. “Been here twice in last 3 weeks with my buddy and neighbor Mike. The food was pretty good for a sports bar. Our server the first time was Candace and last night Thursday September 28 was Teresa. Both times the servers were outstanding. They each were fun, friendly and very attentive. They both really added to an already good vibe. Loads of TV's and good viewing layout although the sound was very uneven between tv's and couldn't hear the broadcast for the Packer game. We expect to become regulars here because of the food and the servers. Hope they can sort of the audio issues. Really a fun place !!! Ron K.“

“Happy 2024! What better way to ring in a new year than to make some reasonable, attainable, measurable resolutions! For example, visiting more local dives to inspect the vibes and overhear the diatribes. And what better way to adhere to this goal than by writing reviews of these experiences myself, and not using DeepAI. Yesiree. Cedar Room was nearby the movie theatre my pookie and I were going to later in the day over the NYE weekend, and neither of us could remember if we had been in here sober before. Verdict was, we are pretty sure we had not. I've driven by so many times and wanted to. I'm so glad it turned out to be so cool. The decor looks like it hasn't changed in decades, and why fix what is not broken? Exactly. Is it open or not? Well, bars rarely close around here. One way to find out, pull on a big wooden door. I really like when these places are dark inside, too. It reminds me of Europe. That's what happens when there are no windows. You really can't thumb your nose up at $4.50 drinks and $4 shots. Not that we did shots, but I did see the sign proudly advertising such activities. We liked our bartender and the regulars did not seem unfriendly at all. Engrossed in their own convos, sure. But I felt like I could probably join if I felt like it. I did not feel like it. There were a couple nice TVs with college football on. I did partake of the bathroom and the report is that she is clean and fresh smelling. Not sure if the popcorn is still around or if it is cash only. We paid in cash. There is a sink kitchenette in the back of the room, which added to the ambiance we enjoy. I also like that there are no windows, did I mention that? I did. Okay. A+ would recommend, will come again for cheap, stiff drinks, vibe check passed and all. Nothing better than a heavy-handed pour at $4.50. This is not a place to drive to if you're having more than a round or two. Alas, there is plenty of parking outside for the DD or rideshare. Cheers.“

Buck's Fizz Rest & Tap Sports Bar • $
650 Fulton Ave, Sacramento - 8.28 miles

“First off, this is an amazing place. A gem indeed. This is actual cooking, a singular enterprise by one owner, and that certainly deserves respect in a town whose food scene is being regularly bought out by investors that treat their businesses as just that, an investment, and not an addition to the neighborhood & culture. Yes, it is a small place, and in a nook which really only immediate locals usually end up at, easy to miss. But also simply perfect when you'd like to feel less-than-bombarded in a town with half a million people where much of the homey-ness is missing. It has a familiar ambiance that also feels well-traveled, with a nautical feel. The service is on point! The owner is super friendly & generous. It is never awkward to pick up to go here. My only alternative input would be to get more sustainable containers for to-go purposes. Enough about the place, more about the food, which is a welcome and unique style in the Sacramento Greek food scenery. The options are simple, ample, and easily suited to different dietary needs & preferences (gluten-free, vegetarian, no cheese for vegan). The go-to for my friends is the Lamb Gyro, which is truly deserving of the term Gigantic. The proportions of filling are not finely cut or chopped, adding to the hugeness of the gyro, which is more like an entire pita bread with at least 1-2 cucumbers and a huge portion of perfectly marinated protein. Being vegan, I enjoyed the dolmathes, hummus, beans, & of course the massive pillowy pita bread, which is insanely better than the kind I've found at the store, it's super fresh. Definately if you're in the area & passing by, try it out. Just check the hours first!“
