It was a busy Saturday night due to the Mission Inn holiday lights and the area was super crowded except for this street just a block away. We were the only customers so the bartender asked what we wanted to order - two beers on tap and a beef quesadilla. Soon more patrons started arriving. The beers were nice and cold and the food was greasy goodness. They have a small stage for live performances but no band was playing that evening.
Pixels is one of my two downtown oasises (oasies? oasis's? uhhh). Not only is the food some of the best downtown, it's also crazy cheap. Nothing on the menu is over $9. They serve some of the best burgers I've ever had for $6 - cheaper than fast food and at least ten times better. The drinks are, also, really cheap (though, I only drink their canned IPAs).As a poor college student, I don't know where I would be without Pixels.
